덴버 다운타운을 관광하며 지낸 숙소는 Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown이었어요.

직접 이용해 보니 부대시설은 피트니스 센터 정도만 운영하고 있었고, 기본에 충실한 객실 구성이 특징이었습니다. 화려한 시설보다는 편안한 숙박과 편리한 위치를 중요하게 생각하는 여행객들에게 잘 맞는 호텔이라는 생각이 들었어요.

After staying here myself, I found that the hotel kept things simple, with only a fitness center as its main facility and guest rooms designed with the essentials in mind. Rather than offering luxurious amenities, it seemed better suited for travelers who value a comfortable stay and a convenient location.
호텔은 17th Street 끝자락에 위치해 있어, 덴버 다운타운 주요 관광지를 걸어다니며 둘러보기 편하더라고요.
The hotel is located near the end of 17th Street, making it easy to explore many of downtown Denver's attractions on foot.
체크인은 1층 로비에서 진행했어요. 로비는 크지 않은 편으로 데스크가 2개 정도 있었고, 옆에는 조식 시간에 이용하는 테이블 공간이 마련되어 있었어요. 조식 시간이 지나면 비교적 한산한 분위기라 노트북으로 간단히 업무를 보거나 커피를 마시며 잠시 쉬어가기에도 괜찮아 보였어요.
Check-in took place on the first floor. The lobby was fairly small, with two front desk counters and a seating area that doubles as the breakfast space. After breakfast hours, the area was usually quiet and seemed like a nice spot to catch up on work, enjoy a cup of coffee, or simply take a short break.

객실에 생수가 제공되지는 않았지만, 1층 로비와 5층 피트니스 센터에 정수기가 있어 편리하게 이용했어요. 생수병만 있으면 물을 따로 구매하지 않아도 되어 좋더라고요.
Although complimentary bottled water was not provided in the room, there were filtered water stations in both the lobby and the fitness center on the fifth floor. As long as you had a reusable water bottle, there was no need to buy bottled water during your stay.
또한 1층 커피머신도 24시간 이용 가능해 커피는 물론, 핫초코, 티, 뜨거운 물도 받을 수 있었어요. 아침 일찍 외출할 때나 늦게 호텔로 돌아왔을 때도 부담 없이 이용할 수 있어 만족스러웠습니다.

제가 이용한 객실은 2 Double Beds Standard 타입이었어요. 객실 키는 2장 제공되었고, 엘리베이터는 카드키를 태그해야 층수 버튼을 누를 수 있는 시스템을 갖추고 있었어요.
덴버 다운타운 특성상 주변에서 노숙자를 어렵지 않게 볼 수 있었는데, 객실 층 출입이 제한되어 있어 보안 면에서는 비교적 안심이 되더라고요. 실제로 새벽 시간에 체크아웃 당시 로비에서 소란을 피우는 사람을 보기도 했지만, 객실 구역은 별도로 관리되고 있어 다행이라는 생각이 들었어요.
I stayed in a 2 Double Beds Standard room. Two key cards were provided, and the elevators required guests to tap their room key before selecting a floor.
Since downtown Denver has a visible homeless population, I appreciated the added security. During my early-morning checkout, I even witnessed someone causing a disturbance in the lobby, so I was glad that access to the guest room floors was restricted to hotel guests only.

객실은 침대와 책상, TV 등이 효율적으로 배치되어 있어 세 가족이 머물기에는 편안한 공간이었어요.
The room was efficiently laid out, with two double beds, a desk, and a TV, providing a comfortable space for our family of three.
침대는 푹신한 편이었고 침구 상태도 깔끔하게 관리되고 있었어요. 저희는 성인 2명과 아이 1명이 함께 이용했는데, 크게 불편함 없이 숙박할 수 있었어요.
The beds were soft, and the bedding was clean and well maintained. We stayed as two adults and one child and had no issues with space or comfort.
침대 사이 협탁에는 시계와 전화기가 있었고, 객실 온도 조절기는 창문 옆에 위치해 있었어요.
냉난방이 아쉽다는 후기가 있었는데, 제가 숙박했을 때도 난방이 원활하지 않아 자기 전에는 추울까봐 아얘 끄고 잤어요. 너무 덥거나 추운 계절에 방문했다면 조금 불편할 수도 있겠다는 생각이 들더라고요.

I had read a few reviews mentioning heating and cooling issues, and unfortunately, I experienced something similar. The heating did not seem to work properly during my stay, and I actually ended up turning it off before going to bed because it wasn't functioning as expected. I imagine this could be a drawback during extremely hot or cold seasons.
TV는 반가운 LG 제품이었고, 저녁마다 Nick at Nite 채널에서 제가 좋아하는 미드인 <빅뱅이론(The Big Bang Theory)>과 <프렌즈(Friends)>를 방송해 주고 있어, 잠들기 전까지 재미있게 시청 했네요😆
TV 아래에는 수납공간이 넉넉해 옷이나 화장품 등을 정리하기 편했고요.
The TV was a familiar LG model, and one of the unexpected highlights of the stay was watching my favorite sitcoms, The Big Bang Theory and Friends, on Nick at Nite before going to sleep each evening.
The storage unit beneath the TV provided plenty of space for organizing clothes, toiletries, and other belongings.

옷장은 현관 바로 옆에 있었는데, 내부에 금고와 다리미, 다리미판이 비치되어 있었어요. 캐리어를 펼쳐둘 수 있는 선반도 있어, 여행 중 짐을 정리하거나 보관하기에 편리했어요.
The closet was located near the entrance and included a safe, iron, and ironing board. There was also a luggage rack, making it convenient to unpack and organize our suitcases.

✅ 욕실 (Bathroom)
욕실은 전체적으로 아담한 편이었으며 작은 욕조가 함께 마련되어 있었어요. 수압은 다소 약하게 느껴졌지만 따뜻한 물은 잘 나와 샤워하는 데 큰 불편은 없었어요.
The bathroom was compact but included a small bathtub. Water pressure was somewhat weak, but the hot water worked well, so showering was still comfortable.
어메니티는 도브(Dove) 제품으로 샤워공간에는 샴푸, 컨디셔너, 바디워시가, 그리고 세면대 옆에는 핸드워시와 바디 로션이 리필형으로 비치되어 있었어요.
The amenities were from Dove. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided in refillable dispensers inside the shower, while hand soap and body lotion were available by the sink.
변기 물을 내리는 레버는 일반적인 위치가 아닌 선반 위쪽에 있어, 처음에 한참 찾았어요. 사진에 보이는 손잡이처럼 생긴 부분을 아래로 당기면 물이 내려가는 방식이었습니다.
One interesting feature was the toilet flush lever. Instead of being located in the usual spot, it was mounted above the shelf behind the toilet. It took me a while to figure it out, but you simply pull down the handle-like lever to flush.
그리고 치약이나 칫솔 같은 일회용품은 제공되지 않았지만, 필요할 경우 프런트 데스크에 요청하면 받을 수 있다고 안내되어 있었어요.
Disposable items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided in the room, though a notice indicated that guests could request them from the front desk if needed.
전반적으로 객실은 깔끔하게 관리되고 있었고, 덴버 다운타운을 둘러보기 좋은 위치 덕분에 편하게 머물 수 있었어요. 다만 객실 간 방음은 약한 편이라 복도나 옆 객실의 소음이 들리기도 해서 그 부분은 조금 아쉬웠어요.
덴버 다운타운에서 관광과 이동을 위한 숙소를 찾는다면 무난하게 이용할 만한 호텔이었습니다.
Overall, the room was clean and well maintained, and the location made it easy to explore downtown Denver. My main complaint was the soundproofing, as I could occasionally hear noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms.
While it may not be the most modern hotel in Denver, it was a perfectly reasonable choice for travelers looking for a convenient place to stay while exploring downtown Denver.
