We stayed at Hills Village (Building C) during our ski trip to Oak Valley. I’ve seen families come just for a day trip—ski with their kids and head straight home. But honestly… as someone in her 40s, that’s a bit too ambitious for me now 😅
Staying overnight made the whole trip much more relaxed and enjoyable.

객실은 카드키가 아니라, 도어락으로 어느새 바뀌었더라고요. 체크인하면 카톡으로 비밀번호가 오고, 체크아웃도 모바일로 진행하면 되니 세상 진짜 편리해진 걸 느끼는 옛날 사람-
One thing that stood out right away was that the rooms no longer use key cards. Instead, access is through a digital door lock. After check-in, the password is sent via KakaoTalk, and even check-out can be done online.
It really made me realize how much more convenient travel has become over the years.
저희는 25평형 트윈 베드룸에서 지냈어요. 침대는 이동이 가능해서 아이와 함께 숙박할 경우 두 개를 붙여 패밀리 침대처럼 사용할 수 있어 편리했어요. 씰리 매트리스는 스키 후 고된 몸을 편안하게 재워줄 만큼 숙면하기 좋았습니다.
We stayed in a twin bed room, which felt comfortably spacious. The beds can be moved, so if you’re traveling with a child, you can push them together and turn them into a family-sized bed—very practical.
4인 기준으로 숙박이 가능한 객실이라 옷장 안에 2인용 침구류도 준비되어 있었어요. 다만 침구가 조금 얇은 편이라, 나이가 들다 보니 바닥에 깔고 자기에는 허리가 다소 불편하게 느껴지더라고요.
Since the room accommodates up to four people, extra bedding for two guests was stored in the wardrobe.
침대 옆에는 화장대가 마련되어 있었고, 화장대 위에는 티슈와 헤어 드라이기가 준비되어 있었어요.
Next to the bed, there was a small vanity table with tissues and a hair dryer.
객실은 원룸 구조라 동선이 단순했고, 침대 맞은편에는 3인용 소파와 협탁이 있어 잠시 쉬거나 짐을 올려두기에도 편했어요.
The room had a studio-style layout, so the space felt simple and easy to navigate.
Across from the bed, there was a three-seater sofa and a side table, perfect for resting or placing bags.
TV는 침대와 소파 사이에 다소 애매하게 설치되어 있었는데요. 각도 조절이 살짝 가능해서 침대에서도, 소파에서도 볼 수 있도록 배치된 것 같았어요.
The TV was positioned between the bed and the sofa. While the placement felt a bit unusual, the angle could be adjusted slightly, making it possible to watch comfortably from both spots.
현관 옆에는 주방 공간이 마련되어 있었고, 4인용 식탁이 있어 간단한 식사나 간식 먹기에도 충분했어요.
Near the entrance, there was a compact kitchen area with a four-person dining table, enough for light meals or snacks.
예전에는 취사가 가능했던 것 같은데, 현재는 취사가 불가능하더라고요. 대신 전자레인지와 전기포트가 준비되어 있어 컵라면이나 컵밥 정도는 간단하게 데워 먹기 좋았어요.
Cooking is no longer allowed (it seems it used to be in the past), but a microwave and electric kettle are provided.
This made it easy to prepare simple items like cup noodles or instant rice.
식기는 컵과 접시가 1개씩만 준비되어 있어 다소 최소한의 구성이고, 퇴실할 때는 사용한 식기를 직접 설거지해야 했어요.
Tableware was very minimal—one cup and one plate per person—and guests are required to wash used dishes before check-out.
수저와 과도, 와인 오프너, 가위 정도만 있어 본격적인 조리는 어렵고 간단한 음식 위주로 이용하는 게 좋을 것 같아요.
Utensils were limited to spoons, chopsticks, a small knife, a wine opener, and scissors, so it’s best suited for simple food rather than full cooking.
욕실은 샤워실과 변기가 분리되어 있어 사용하기 편했고, 샴푸와 페이스&바디 겸용 워시는 다회용 용기에 담겨 기본으로 준비되어 있었어요.
The bathroom was designed with a separate shower booth and toilet. Shampoo and a combined face & body wash were provided in refillable containers.
수건은 욕실에 4장이 준비되어 있었고, 현관 쪽에 여분 수건 4장이 추가로 비치되어 있었어요.
There were four towels in the bathroom, plus four extra towels near the entrance, so towels were more than sufficient for our stay.
객실은 전반적으로 널찍한 편이라 답답함 없이 지내기 좋았고, 온돌도 따뜻하게 잘 되어 있어 겨울 숙소로 만족스러웠어요.
힐스빌리지 D동은 현재 리뉴얼 중이라, 추후에는 더 쾌적해질 것 같다는 기대도 들었고요. HDC 현대 계열사에서 운영하다보니 그런지 전반적으로 시설 관리가 잘 되고 있다는 인상을 받았습니다.
Overall, the room felt spacious and comfortable, without feeling cramped at all. The ondol floor heating worked very well, which made it a great winter accommodation.
Hills Village Building D is currently undergoing renovations, so it seems the overall experience will be even better in the future. Since Oak Valley is operated by an HDC Hyundai affiliate, the facilities felt well-maintained and professionally managed.
이번 시즌 오크밸리는 상급 슬로프는 운영하지 않고 초·중급 슬로프만 운영하고 있었어요. 미리 알고 간 건 아니었지만, 초급 슬로프의 경사가 매우 완만해서 아직 초급자인 저와 아이에게는 충분히 만족스러운 환경이었어요.
다음 시즌에도 꾸준히 이용하게 될 것 같습니다 :)
This season, Oak Valley was operating only beginner and intermediate slopes, with advanced slopes closed. We didn’t know this beforehand, but it turned out to be a positive surprise—the beginner slopes were very gentle and perfect for kids and beginners like us.
For my child and me, it was more than enough, and we’d love to come back again next season.
