프라하성 스타벅스｜Starbucks Prague Castle, 프라하 전망을 한눈에

점심 식사 후에는 프라하성으로 이동했어요. 프라하성 근처에는 전망이 좋기로 유명한 스타벅스가 있는데요. 10년 전 프라하를 여행했을 때도 이곳에 들렀던 기억이 있어, 이번에는 추억을 되새기며 다시 찾아가 봤습니다.

After lunch, I headed to Prague Castle. There’s a Starbucks nearby that’s known for its beautiful views. I had visited this location 10 years ago, so I wanted to stop by again.

아름다운 프라하 전망

스타벅스에 들어가기 전, 언덕 위에서 잠시 프라하 시내 풍경을 감상했어요. 날이 조금 흐리고 보슬비까지 내렸지만, 흐린 날씨 속에서도 프라하의 풍경은 여전히 아름다웠어요.

Before going inside, I took a moment to enjoy the view from the hill. It was cloudy and drizzling a little, but Prague still looked beautiful.

스타벅스 프라하성 입구

스타벅스 프라하성 입구는 10년 전과 비교해도 크게 달라진 모습은 아니었어요. 다만 예전에는 흰 벽에 스타벅스 로고가 있었는데, 이번에 가보니 로고가 사라졌더라고요.

The entrance looked almost the same as I remembered. One thing had changed, though. The Starbucks logo that used to be on the white wall was gone.

테라스 자리

테라스 좌석도 마련되어 있었지만, 비가 오다 그치기를 반복하는 날씨라 저희는 안쪽에 자리를 잡았어요.

There were outdoor terrace seats as well, but since the rain kept coming and going, we decided to sit inside.

세계지도

한국에 몰려있는 핀들

한쪽 벽에는 이곳을 다녀간 사람들이 핀을 꽂을 수 있는 세계지도도 있었는데요. 10년 전에도 대한민국에 핀이 잔뜩 꽂혀 있었던 기억이 있는데, 이번에도 여전히 많은 핀이 꽂혀 있더라고요. 프라하를 찾는 한국 여행객들이 꾸준히 많은 것 같아 괜히 반가웠어요.

There was a world map on one of the walls where visitors could place a pin on their home country. I remembered seeing lots of pins on South Korea 10 years ago. There were still plenty this time. It was nice to see that so many Korean travelers continue to visit Prague.

한글 메뉴

주문을 하려고 하니 직원분께서 한글 메뉴판을 따로 건네주셨어요. 프라하에서 한글로 된 메뉴판을 보니 신기하더라고요. 

When we went to order, the staff member handed us a Korean menu. I didn’t expect that, so it was a nice surprise.

다양한 MD 상품들

유명 관광지에 있는 매장이라 유어히어컵도 도시별로 판매 중이었고, MD 상품들도 다양하게 준비되어 있었어요. 들고 다니기에는 무거울 것 같아 이번에는 구입하지 않았습니다.

They also had the Starbucks You Are Here Collection cups for different cities, along with a good selection of merchandise.

먹어보지 못해 아쉬운 샌드위치

샌드위치와 디저트도 종류가 다양했는데, 점심을 이미 배불리 먹은 상태라 음료만 주문했어요. 지금보니 저 에그앤베이컨 베이글 진짜 맛있어보이는데 말이죠…

There was a nice selection of sandwiches and desserts, too. We had already had a big lunch, so we just ordered drinks. 

디저트도 맛있어보였는데

다음 여행에서는 한끼를 스타벅스에서 먹는다고 생각하고 계획을 짜봐야겠어요 :)

Looking at the photos now, though, that egg and bacon bagel looks really good. Maybe next time, I’ll plan a meal here.

기본 초코 케익이 안 보이네...

무심한 듯 툭툭 놓여 있는 케이크와 쿠키들도 비주얼만큼은 베이커리 카페 못지않았어요.
가격을 살펴보니 당시 환율로 쿠키는 개당 약 6,000원, 시나몬롤은 약 7,500원, 케이크는 한 조각에 8,000~9,000원 정도였어요. 10년 전과 비교하면 프라하 물가도 많이 오른 데다 환율까지 높아져서인지 한국보다 비싸더라고요. 체코 환율도 언제 이렇게 올랐는지…ㅠㅠ

The cakes and cookies were casually displayed, but they looked just as good as those at a bakery cafe.
The prices were also interesting to see. At the exchange rate at the time, cookies were around 6,000 won each, cinnamon rolls were about 7,500 won, and a slice of cake was around 8,000–9,000 won. Compared to 10 years ago, prices in Prague have gone up quite a bit, and with the exchange rate being so high as well, everything felt more expensive than in Korea.

시나몬 가루와 설탕, 우드 스틱 등이 준비된 셀프 코너도 깔끔하게 정돈되어 있었어요. 소소한 공간이지만 보기 좋게 준비되어 있어 사진으로 한 장 남겨봤습니다. 여기가 퇴식구 같기도 한데, 유럽에서는 다 마신 음료컵을 테이블에 그대로 두고 가는 경우도 많더라고요.

There was also a small self-service station with cinnamon powder, sugar, wooden stirrers, and other little extras. It almost looked like a place to return your cups, but in Europe, people often leave their finished cups on the table rather than clearing them themselves.

같은 장소에 다시 오다니.. 이젠 창가자리 창문이 안 열림;

저는 바닐라 라떼를 주문해 창가에서 프라하 풍경을 바라보며 잠시 쉬어갔어요. 10년 전에도 이 창가 자리에 앉아 커피를 마셨는데, 이번에도 운 좋게 같은 자리에 앉을 수 있었어요. 그때는 혼자 사진을 남겼지만, 이번에는 아이와 함께 같은 공간에서 사진을 찍으니 감회가 남달랐어요. 

I sat by the window with a vanilla latte. Ten years ago, I had sat in this exact spot and had coffee by myself, and luckily, the same seat happened to be available this time too. Back then, I took a photo of myself alone, but this time I got to take a photo in the same spot with my child. It felt surprisingly special to be back in the same place after all these years.

여기도 화장실이 유료

화장실은 계단을 따라 쭉 내려가면 나오는데요. 이용료는 20코룬이고, 스타벅스 고객은 영수증에 적힌 비밀번호를 입력하면 무료로 이용할 수 있어요.

The restroom is downstairs, down a flight of stairs. It costs 20 CZK to use, but Starbucks customers can enter for free by entering the code printed on their receipt.

만약 우리나라에서 공중 화장실 이용료가 1,500원이었다면?

제가 대학생일 때만 해도 유럽 여행을 하면서 맥도날드나 스타벅스에서는 화장실을 무료로 이용했던 것 같은데, 이제는 이런 곳에서도 유료로 이용하는 경우가 많아진 것 같아요.

When I was a college student, I remember being able to use the restrooms for free at places like McDonald’s and Starbucks while traveling around Europe. These days, it seems like even restrooms are often paid.

10년 만에 다시 찾은 Starbucks Prague Castle은 여전히 프라하의 멋진 풍경을 바라볼 수 있는 곳이었어요. 예전에는 혼자 커피 한 잔의 여유를 즐겼다면, 이번에는 아이와 함께 같은 자리에서 시간을 보내며 새로운 추억을 만들 수 있어 더욱 특별했어요.

After 10 years, it was nice to be back at Starbucks Prague Castle. The view was still beautiful. But this time, I got to enjoy it with my child and make a new memory in a place I once visited alone.
