작년에 선물로 받았던, 사비니 타르투피 미니 트러플 세트! 트러플을 요리에 어떻게 활용해야 할지 잘 몰라서 주방 한 켠에 고이 모셔두고 있었는데요. 최근 주방을 정리하다가 유통기한이 얼마 남지 않은 걸 발견하고 부랴부랴 뜯어보았어요.

I got this Savini Tartufi Mini Truffle Set as a birthday gift last year, but somehow I never got around to using it.
I wasn’t quite sure how to use truffle ingredients at home, so I ended up keeping it in a corner of my kitchen. Then, while organizing the kitchen recently, I noticed that the expiration date was getting close, so I finally opened it.
I almost let it go to waste..!

정성스러운 박스 포장

쇼핑백도 함께 있었는데, 일단 오늘은 박스만 찍어보았어요. 깔끔한 패키지라 트러플 오일 선물세트로도 참 괜찮아 보이죠. 1920년부터 창시자 Giuseppe Savini의 가족이 4대째 이어오고 있는 브랜드로, 패키지에도 ‘4th Generation Truffle Hunters’라고 크게 적혀 있어요.
The set also came with a shopping bag, but I only photographed the box. I really liked the simple packaging. It felt like a thoughtful gift when I received it.
Savini Tartufi has been a family business since 1920 and is now in its fourth generation. The box features the phrase “4th Generation Truffle Hunters.”

먼저 가장 익숙하면서도 활용하기 쉬웠던 블랙 트러플 올리브오일! 올리브오일에 트러플 향을 더한 향미유로, 빵을 찍어 먹거나 샐러드, 파스타, 스테이크 등 다양한 요리에 활용할 수 있어요.
The black truffle olive oil was the easiest one to use. This one had the earliest expiration date, so I’ve been trying to use it up first.

트러플 오일은, 성시경 파스타에 제법 잘 어울린다.

저는 샐러드 파스타를 만들어 먹을 때 마지막에 살짝 뿌려봤는데, 트러플 특유의 풍미가 더해지니 평소에 먹던 파스타와는 또 다른 느낌이더라고요. 세 가지 구성품 중 유통기한이 가장 짧은 제품이라, 발견하고 나서는 열심히 소진하고 있는 중이에요.
I drizzled some over a salad pasta, and the truffle aroma really stood out. It added a nice depth of flavor and made the pasta feel a little more special.

트러플 소금 30g

트러플 소금은 이탈리아산 천일염에 트러플을 더해 만든 소금으로, 건조 송로버섯이 3% 함유되어 있어 작은 송로버섯 알갱이가 눈에 보여요.
The Truffle-Flavored Salt is made with Italian sea salt and dried truffle, and you can actually see little pieces of truffle mixed in. I mostly used it with meat and grilled dishes.

고기를 찍어 먹어도 맛있고, 소금이 필요한 구이 요리에 살짝 뿌려주면 트러플 향과 함께 감칠맛이 더해지는 느낌이에요. 평소 사용하는 소금 대신 조금씩 활용하면 생각보다 어렵지 않게 트러플 풍미를 더할 수 있어서, 세 가지 중에서는 활용도가 꽤 높은 편이었어요.
I liked how a small amount added extra savory flavor and a subtle truffle aroma. It’s also pretty easy to use—just sprinkle a little over a dish where you would normally use salt.

3️⃣ 트러플 치즈 크림 소스 Cream with Parmigiano Reggiano and Truffle 90g

세 가지 중 어떻게 먹어야 할지 가장 고민됐던 트러플 치즈 크림이에요. 처음에는 어떤 요리에 활용해야 할지 조금 막막했는데, 스프레드처럼 빵에 발라 먹어도 괜찮더라고요.
The Cream was the one I wasn’t quite sure what to do with at first. Since I didn’t have a specific recipe in mind, I decided to keep it simple and use it as a spread on bread.

제가 평소 즐겨 먹는 메바쥬 쌀빵 구워서 듬뿍 발라 먹으니, 고소한 치즈 맛에 트러플 풍미가 더해져서 꽤 맛있었어요. 간단하게 빵에 발라 먹는 것만으로도 평소와는 다른 맛이 나서, 집에서 브런치 카페 분위기를 내고 싶을 때 활용하기 좋았어요.
I spread a generous amount on my favorite rice bread, and it turned out to be a really good combination. The creamy, savory cheese flavor paired nicely with the truffle aroma. It was such a simple way to enjoy it, but I actually liked it that way. No complicated recipe needed.

전체적으로 깔끔한 패키지에 트러플 오일, 트러플 소금, 트러플 치즈 크림까지 다양하게 들어 있어 선물용으로도 만족도가 높은 구성이었어요. 평소 이탈리안 음식이나 트러플을 좋아하는 지인이 있다면, 다가오는 추석에 선물하기에도 좋을 것 같습니다 :)
Overall, I thought this was a really nice gift set. The packaging is neat and elegant, and having three different truffle products in one set makes it fun to try them in different ways.
I already enjoy Italian food and often buy truffle products myself, so it was nice to have the chance to try a few different kinds at once.
If you have a friend or family member who enjoys Italian food or truffles, I think it would also make a lovely Chuseok gift.
