이번 여행에서는 오하우섬 와이키키 리조트 호텔에서 머물렀어요. 하와이는 숙소 가격이 비싼 편인데, 비교적 가격에 합리적인 가격대에, 간단한 조식이 제공되는 점이 마음에 들어 선택했습니다. 와이키키 비치도 매우 가까워요!
During our trip to Hawaii, we stayed at the Waikiki Resort Hotel on Oahu. While accommodations in Hawaii are generally pricey, this hotel was relatively affordable and included a simple breakfast. Its close proximity to Waikiki Beach made it easy to get around on foot.

이 호텔은 원래 대한항공에서 운영을 하다가, 소노호텔앤리조트에서 인수했어요. 제가 소노 회원권을 갖고 있긴한데.. 아직 회원을 위한 혜택이 따로 있어보이진 않더라고요. 거의 4달 전에 예약하긴 했지만 가격도 홈페이지보다 아고다가 저렴했어요. (*1박당 약 20만원, 리조트피 별도)
The hotel was originally run by Korean Air but is now managed by Sono Hotels & Resorts. I actually have a Sono membership, but there didn’t seem to be any special perks for members—at least for now. I booked the room about four months in advance, and Agoda had a better deal than the official website. (It was around 200,000 KRW per night, not including the resort fee.)
개방된 형태의 로비를 보니 하와이의 날씨가 얼마나 좋은지 새삼 느껴지더라고요. 로비에는 생수를 받을 수 있는 급수기가 있어서 편리했어요. 객실에 500ml 생수가 제공되지 않는 대신, 이 급수기가 로비 그리고 2층 수영장 옆에 있습니다.
There’s a convenient water dispenser in the lobby, which was really handy during our stay. Rather than offering bottled water in the rooms, the hotel provides dispensers both in the lobby and next to the pool on the second floor.

세월의 흔적이 느껴지지만, 전체적으로 깔끔했어요. 저희는 6층으로 배정받았어요.
We were assigned a room on the 6th floor.
열흘 간 지냈던 호텔방- 바다도 살짝 보이고, 아침마다 맑은 하늘을 볼 수 있어 행복했어요.
We stayed in the hotel room for ten days — with a partial ocean view and clear skies every morning, which made me really happy.
테라스에는 테이블과 의자가 있었지만, 비둘기들이 자주 날아와서 나가기가 쉽진 않더라고요…
There was a table and chairs on the terrace, but pigeons often came by, so it wasn’t very easy to spend time out there.
침대도 널찍하고 편안했어요. 청소는 이틀에 한번 정도 프론트에 미리 요청을 하고, 청소하는 날은 팁도 항상 올려두고 나왔어요. (청소를 두 분이 진행하기 때문에 최소 2불은 두고 나오는 게 좋아요)
The beds were spacious and comfortable for me and my child.
입구 옆에는 옷을 걸어둘 수 있는 공간과 금고, 다리미, 캐리어 1개를 펼쳐둘 수 있는 받침대가 있고요.
Next to the entrance, there was space to hang clothes, a safe, an iron, and a stand where you could open one suitcase.
옷걸이 맞은 편에는 세면대가 있어요. 바디로션이 리필형으로 제공되어 여행기간 동안 유용하게 사용했어요.
Across from the clothes hanger, there’s a sink. The body lotion is provided in a refillable dispenser, which was really handy throughout our trip.
손 씻는 용도로 노니 비누도 1개 있고요.
There was also a noni soap provided for handwashing.
세면대 아래에는 작은 냉장고가 있어요. 생수가 제공되지 않아서 로비층이나 2층에 위치한 급수기를 이용하면 됩니다.
There’s a small fridge under the sink. Since bottled water isn’t provided, you can use the water dispensers located on the lobby floor and the second floor.
변기와 샤워부스는 같은 공간에 있어요. 샴푸, 컨디셔너, 바디워시는 리필 형태로 제공이 되고, 향이 괜찮아서 여행 내내 잘 사용했습니다.
The toilet and shower are in the same space. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are also provided in refillable dispensers.
삼성 티비와 DVD 플레이어도 있고, DVD는 로비에서 빌릴 수 있는 키오스크가 있어요.
커피머신과 캡슐도 있는데, 조식 때 커피를 마시다보니 이용할 일은 없었어요.
The room had a TV and a DVD player, and you can borrow DVDs from a kiosk in the lobby.
There’s also a coffee machine with capsules, but since coffee was served at breakfast, I didn’t really use it.
테이블도 널찍한 편이라, 테이크아웃한 음식을 간단히 먹거나 아이 숙제용으로 활용하기 좋았습니다.
The table was quite spacious, making it easy to enjoy takeout meals or use it as a workspace for my kid’s homework.
조식은 2층 식당에서 먹을 수 있는데요, 테이블에 불판이 있는 걸 보니 예전에 코리안 바베큐로 운영되지 않았나 싶어요. 아이가 있다보니 간단한 조식이 제공되는 점이 큰 장점이었어요.
Breakfast was served in the restaurant on the second floor. I noticed the grills built into the tables and wondered if it used to be a Korean BBQ place. Having a simple breakfast included was definitely a plus, especially since we were traveling with a kid.
음료는 물, 오렌지주스, 파인애플 주스, POG(패션후르츠+오렌지+구아바 주스) 그리고 커피가 있었어요.
They served water, orange juice, pineapple juice, POG (passion fruit, orange, and guava), and coffee.
식빵과 롤종류 몇개, 버터, 잼도 있었고.
There were a few kinds of bread like sliced bread and rolls, along with butter and jam.
씨리얼과 우유도 있었어요.
There was also cereal with milk available.
샐러드와 과일, 드레싱은 주방 상황에 따라 다른 종류로 나왔어요.
The salads, fruits, and dressings changed depending on what the chef picked that day.
계란도 스크램블 또는 삶은 계란으로 나왔고, 볶음밥이나 감자요리가 나오기도 했어요. 사진엔 없지만 미역국이나 오트밀 등의 따뜻한 스프류도 있었습니다.
Eggs were served either scrambled or boiled, and sometimes there were dishes like fried rice or potato sides. Although not in the photos, they also had warm soups like seaweed soup and oatmeal.
요거트도 딸기와 플레인,바닐라맛이 번갈아 나왔어요.
The yogurt came in strawberry, plain and vanilla.
간단하지만 이렇게라도 아침을 먹고 하루를 시작하면 도움이 되더라고요. 빈그릇을 치워주는 직원들이 계셔서, 식사 후 나오는 길에 팁을 1불 정도 두고 나와도 괜찮습니다.
The breakfast was simple, but starting the day with it really helped.
수영장은 2층 야외에 위치해있고, 히팅풀은 아니라서 오전에는 물이 차가워요. 라이프가드가 상주하지 않기 때문에 안전에 유의하며 이용해야합니다.
바다가 가깝지만 수영장도 종종 내려와서 이용했어요. 테이블과 썬베드는 자유롭게 이용이 가능하고, 샤워실은 별도로 없어요. (화장실은 호텔 카드키로 출입 가능)
The pool is outdoors on the second floor, and since it’s not heated, the water can be quite cold in the morning. There’s no lifeguard on duty, so please swim safely.
Although the beach is nearby, we often used the pool too. Tables and sunbeds are free to use, but there’s no separate shower area. Restrooms are accessible with the hotel key card.
와이키키 리조트 호텔은 합리적인 가격에 좋은 위치, 편의시설, 그리고 편안한 객실까지 두루 갖춘 숙소예요. ‘가성비 좋은 호텔’을 찾고 계시다면 만족하실 만한 곳입니다 :)
