오랜만에 커피 마시러 광화문 서울파이낸스센터(SFC)에 들렀다가, 새로 생긴 센터커피 광화문점을 발견했어요. 성수동에서 가오픈했을 때 한 번 방문했던 기억이 있어서, 광화문 카페로 다시 만나니 괜히 더 반갑더라고요.
I stopped by Seoul Finance Center (SFC) in Gwanghwamun for a coffee after a while and came across the newly opened cafe, 'Center Coffee' Gwanghwamun branch. A long time ago, I had visited their Seongsu location during its soft opening, so it was nice to see a familiar place here in Gwanghwamun.
커피 맛으로 유명한 곳이라 기대가 컸는데, 이렇게 광화문에서도 스페셜티 커피를 즐길 수 있는 카페가 생겨서 더 좋았어요. 위치는 SFC 지하 1층이에요.
Center Coffee is known for its quality brews, —and it was great to find a spot like this where you can enjoy specialty coffee right in Gwanghwamun. The café is located on B1 of SFC.
주문은 키오스크를 이용하거나, 카운터에서 직접할 수 있어요.
You can place your order either through a kiosk or directly at the counter, which makes the process pretty convenient.
커피는 스페셜티 커피가 메인이고, 라떼나 콜드브루처럼 데일리로 마시기 좋은 메뉴들도 함께 판매하고 있었어요. 논카페인 음료도 있어서 커피 못 드시는 분들이랑 같이 가기에도 괜찮은 카페였어요.
Their menu mainly focuses on specialty coffee, but they also offer easy-to-drink options like lattes and cold brew. There are also non-caffeinated drinks available, so it’s a good place to visit even if you’re with someone who doesn’t drink coffee.
베이커리 종류도 몇 가지 있었는데, 디저트가 과하게 많은 느낌보다는 커피랑 잘 어울리는 구성이라 좋았어요.
They had a small selection of baked goods as well. Rather than having an overwhelming variety of desserts, it felt like a well-curated lineup that pairs nicely with their coffee.
오후 3시 이전에는 샌드위치 메뉴도 판매하고 있어서 간단하게 식사까지 해결할 수 있더라고요.
Before 3 PM, they also serve sandwiches, making it a good option if you’re looking for a light meal along with your coffee.
매장에서는 인스턴트 원두와 드립백도 함께 판매하고 있었어요. 집이나 사무실에서도 센터커피의 스페셜티 커피를 간편하게 즐길 수 있어서, 커피 좋아하시는 분들이라면 한 번쯤 구매해보셔도 좋을 것 같아요.
They also sell instant coffee and drip bags in-store, so you can easily enjoy Center Coffee’s specialty beans at home or at the office. It’s definitely worth picking some up if you’re a coffee lover.
이날은 딸기라떼, 쑥라떼, 그리고 스페셜티 커피를 주문해봤어요.
We ordered a strawberry latte, a mugwort latte, and a cup of their specialty coffee.
딸기 라떼는 직접 담근 딸기청을 사용해서 그런지 부드럽고 달콤한 맛이었어요. 자극적인 단맛이 아니라서 아이들이 마시기에도 괜찮을 것 같았어요.
The strawberry latte was made with house-made strawberry syrup, giving it a smooth and naturally sweet flavor. It seemed enjoyable, even for kids.
쑥 라떼는 말차 컬러라 얼핏 보면 말차라떼 같지만, 은은한 쑥 향이 올라오면서 달콤하게 즐기기 좋았어요.
The mugwort latte had a color similar to matcha, so it could easily be mistaken at first glance. However, it had a subtle aroma with a gentle sweetness, making it easy and pleasant to drink.
스페셜티 커피는 에티오피아 시다마 벤사 오다코 74158 내추럴로 주문했는데, 과일향이 은은하게 올라오고 산미도 부담스럽지 않아서 마시기 좋았어요.
테이스트 노트 카드도 같이 주셔서, 향을 하나씩 느껴보면서 천천히 마시는 재미가 있더라고요.
For the specialty coffee, I chose the Ethiopia Sidama Bensa Odako 74158 Natural. It had a light fruity aroma with a balanced acidity that wasn’t too sharp, making it very approachable. They also provided a tasting note card, which made it more enjoyable to slowly sip the coffee while picking out different flavors and aromas.
함께 주문한 무화과 바통 휘낭시에는 촉촉한 반죽과 무화과의 식감, 은은한 달콤함이 더해져서 커피와도 잘 어울리는 디저트였어요.
We also tried the fig baton financier, which had a moist texture with bits of fig adding a subtle sweetness—pairing really well with the coffee.
전체적으로 센터커피 광화문점은 커피 맛이 중심이 되는 스페셜티 카페라는 느낌이었고, 조용한 분위기에서 여유 있게 커피를 즐기기 좋은 공간이었어요.
광화문에서 커피 맛있는 카페를 찾거나, 핸드드립 커피를 천천히 즐기고 싶은 분들께 무난하게 추천합니다 :)
Overall, Center Coffee Gwanghwamun felt like a specialty café where the focus is truly on the coffee itself. The calm atmosphere makes it a great place to sit back and enjoy a cup at your own pace.
