뚝섬한강공원에서 열렸던 빛섬축제 보러 갔던 날, 근처에서 식사할 곳을 찾다가 아들이 좋아하는 돼지갈비가 있는 곳이 보여서 가게 된 이동왕갈비!
근처에 닭갈비집인 '계탄집'도 가볼까했는데 대기줄이 엄청 길더라고요. (여긴 다음 기회에..)
On the day we visited the 'Seoul Light HanGang Bitseom Festival' at Ttukseom Hangang Park, we were looking for a place to eat nearby. Since my son loves marinated pork ribs, we ended up choosing Idong Wang Galbi when we spotted it around Jayang Station.

자양역 근처 뚝섬로는 식당도 많고, 먹자골목 시장 같은 느낌이었어요. 빛섬축제가 진행 중이긴 했지만, 한강공원이 가깝다 보니 텐트를 대여해주는 가게들도 있고 전체적으로 분위기가 활기차서 놀랐어요.
The area around Jayang Station, especially along Ttukseom-ro, felt like a lively food alley with tons of restaurants. Even though the festival was going on, the whole neighborhood was bustling—probably because it’s so close to the Hangang Park, with shops even renting out tents for picnics. The atmosphere was much livelier than I expected.
메뉴는 소고기와 돼지고기 등의 구이류뿐 아니라 갈비탕, 제육볶음 같은 식사 메뉴도 판매하고 있었어요.
저희는 아이와 함께 먹기좋은 돼지갈비(양념)을 주문했습니다 :)
The restaurant offers both beef and pork barbecue, as well as meal options like galbitang (short rib soup) and spicy pork.
We ordered the marinated pork ribs.

주문 후에는 생수와 쌈채소, 마늘, 쌈장, 기본 찬들을 세팅해주셨어요.
양념갈비와 함께 먹기 좋은 양파간장, 배추김치, 양파 피클 등도 나왔습니다.
After we ordered, the staff brought out water, lettuce wraps, garlic, ssamjang, and basic side dishes.
They also served condiments that go well with marinated ribs—soy-marinated onions, kimchi, and onion pickles.
불판은 숯불이 아니라 가스불로 켜지는 구조였는데요, 중간중간 자꾸 불이 꺼져서 고기 굽는 데 조금 애를 먹긴 했어요.
The grill wasn’t charcoal but a gas grill, and the flame kept going out from time to time, which made cooking a bit tricky.
상추에 고기 한 점과 양파, 쌈장, 마늘 등을 같이 올려 먹으니 더 맛있게 즐길 수 있었습니다 :)
I ate the meat with lettuce wraps, adding a piece of meat, onions, ssamjang, and garlic—simple but always the best.
고기를 거의 다 먹어갈 무렵, 후식 냉면도 한 그릇 주문했어요. 후기에서 냉면 가격이 잘못 계산됐다는 글을 몇 개 봐서 조금 걱정했는데, 다행히 저희는 그런 불미스러운 일 없이 후식 냉면으로 주문이 잘 들어갔어요..
저는 언제나 그렇듯 물냉면으로 선택했습니다.
Right before we finished the meat, I ordered a bowl of cold noodles. I had seen several reviews mentioning mischarges for the naengmyeon, so I was a bit worried, but thankfully we didn’t run into any issues.
냉면은 함흥냉면 스타일로 면발이 쫄깃했고요. 기호에 따라 양념을 추가해 먹어도 되는데 저는 기본 맛만으로도 괜찮았어요. 마지막으로 고기와 함께 입가심하기 딱 좋았습니다.
As always, I went with the mul-naengmyeon, which had chewy, Hamheung-style noodles. You can add more sauce if you prefer stronger flavor, but I enjoyed it just as it was. It was refreshing and perfect for finishing off the meal.
이동왕갈비는 전체적으로 부담 없이 한 끼 먹기 좋은 고깃집이었어요. 양념 돼지갈비도 무난하게 맛있었고, 반찬 구성도 깔끔한 편이었습니다. 불판이 자주 꺼지는 건 조금 불편했지만, 상추쌈으로 든든하게 먹고 마지막에 냉면까지 깔끔하게 마무리하니 만족스러웠어요. 자양역 근처에서 편하게 고기 먹고 싶을 때 가볍게 들르기 좋은 곳이라는 생각이 들었습니다.
Overall, it was a simple, satisfying meal. The marinated pork ribs were tasty, and the side dishes were clean and well-prepared. The grill turning off was a small inconvenience, but we still enjoyed our meal—especially with the lettuce wraps and the refreshing cold noodles at the end.
If you’re near Jayang Station and want an easy, no-fuss Korean BBQ meal, Idong Wang Galbi is a solid option.
