수영 강습 준비물 추천｜오리발·손패들 내돈내산 후기

수영 강습을 받기 시작한 지도 벌써 1년 정도 되었네요. 그동안은 오리발만 사용하면서 연습했는데, 이번에는 강습 준비물로 핸드패들도 필요하다고 해서 새로 사게 되었습니다.
마침 기존에 사용하던 오리발도 조금 불편하게 느껴지고 있었던 터라, 배송비도 아낄 겸 이번에 오리발까지 함께 새로 구입해봤어요.
It’s already been about a year since I started taking swimming lessons. Up until now, I had only been practicing with swim fins, but this time hand paddles were also listed as required gear for class, so I decided to finally get a pair. My old fins had also started to feel a bit uncomfortable lately, so while I was ordering the paddles, I went ahead and replaced my fins too.

DMC Original Fin

구입한 제품은 DMC의 하이드로핀 훈련용 숏핀이에요. 가장 기본 디자인의 제품인데, 100% 실리콘 재질이라 전체적으로 굉장히 부드럽고 가벼운 편이더라고요.
The fins I picked up are the Original Training Fins from DMC. They’re one of the brand’s most basic designs, but since they’re made from 100% silicone, they feel really soft and lightweight overall.

아랫면

예전에 사용하던 딱딱한 재질의 오리발은 오래 차고 있으면 발목이나 발등이 은근 피로했는데, 이번 제품은 확실히 부담이 덜해서 실내 수영할 때 훨씬 편하게 느껴졌어요. 물속에서 발차기할 때도 움직임이 자연스러운 느낌이라 왜 많이 사용하는지 알겠더라고요.
Compared to the stiffer fins I used before, these are much more comfortable for indoor swimming. My ankles and the tops of my feet used to get tired pretty quickly with my old pair, but these feel noticeably easier on my feet. The kicking motion also feels smoother and more natural in the water, so I can definitely see why so many swimmers use them.

✅사이즈 구매 팁

오리발 사이즈는 발에 딱 맞게 신는 것보다 약간 여유 있게 고르는 걸 추천하더라고요. 너무 타이트하면 오래 착용했을 때 발등이나 발목이 쉽게 불편해질 수 있어서요. 만약 사이즈가 조금 크더라도 핀서포터를 함께 사용하면 발에 안정감 있게 고정해서 사용할 수 있다고 해요. 저도 구두 기준으로는 225~230 정도 신는데, 이번에 구입한 2XS 사이즈 편하게 잘 신고 있습니다 :)

✅Size Tip

I’ve heard it’s actually better to choose swim fins with a little extra room rather than going for an exact tight fit. If they’re too snug, the tops of your feet and ankles can start to feel uncomfortable during longer sessions. Even if the fins feel slightly big, you can use fin supporters to help keep them secure on your feet.

사은품으로 함께 받은 대용량 망사 가방도 꽤 만족스러웠어요. XBLUE 자체 제작 제품이라고 하는데, 크기가 넉넉해서 오리발이나 수영 장비들을 한 번에 넣어 보관하기 좋더라고요. 
I was also pretty happy with the oversized mesh bag that came as a free gift. It’s an original product from XBLUE, and the size is roomy enough to store fins and other swim gear all together, which makes it really practical for pool days.

XBLUE 핸드 패들

핸드 패들은 이번에 처음 사용해보는 거라 어떤 제품을 사야 할지 고민을 꽤 많이 했어요. 처음 쓰기 무난한 제품을 찾다가 XBLUE 제품으로 구입하게 되었어요.
Since this was my first time using hand paddles, I spent quite a while deciding which ones to buy. I wanted something beginner-friendly, and eventually chose the one from XBLUE.

XBL-5555 (컬러: 민트 샤벳)

XBLUE는 수영용품 전문 업체인 남도스포츠의 자체 브랜드라고 하더라고요. 수영장에서도 사용하는 분들을 종종 봤던 브랜드라 입문용으로 괜찮겠다 싶었어요.
XBLUE is actually the in-house brand of Namdo Sports, a company that specializes in swimming gear. I’d seen quite a few people using their products at the pool before, so it felt like a safe choice for a first pair.

실리콘 스트랩 2쌍 포함

실리콘 스트랩은 두 가지 컬러가 함께 들어 있어서, 원하는 색으로 골라 끼울 수 있어요. 스트랩 길이도 조절 가능해서 손 크기에 맞게 맞춰 사용하면 됩니다.
저는 산뜻하게 핑크로 사용하고 있어요.
The silicone straps come in two different colors, so you can pick whichever one you like. The strap length is also adjustable, making it easy to fit different hand sizes. I ended up going with the pink straps for a brighter look.

사이즈 S

직접 사용해보니 패들 소재가 플라스틱으로 단단한 편이라 물을 잡을 때 힘이 꽤 들어가긴 했지만, 그만큼 자세 연습에는 도움이 되는 느낌이에요.
After trying them out, I noticed the paddles are made from fairly rigid plastic, so they do require a bit more strength when catching the water. But at the same time, that resistance makes them feel helpful for improving stroke technique.

요즘은 수영 강습할 때 핸드 패들 사용하는 분들이 정말 많아졌는지, 제가 구입했을 때보다 훨씬 더 다양한 종류의 패들이 많이 입고되어 있더라고요.

특히 DMC에서도 소프트 타입 패들이 출시된 걸 봤는데, 지금 사용하는 제품보다 부담이 덜할 것 같아서 다음에 수영 장비를 업그레이드하게 되면 한 번 사용해보고 싶네요 :)

These days, it seems like more and more people are using hand paddles during swimming lessons. When I checked the website recently, I noticed they now carry way more paddle options than when I first bought mine.

I also saw that DMC recently released a soft silicon version paddle, which looks like it might feel less demanding than the one I’m currently using. When I need to upgrade my swim gear again, I’d definitely like to give those a try.
