홍제동에 처음 생겼을 때부터 가보고 싶었던 일본가정식 식당 오소이! 밥하기 싫은 주말, 드디어 방문해보았어요.
Ever since Ohsoi first opened in Hongje-dong, I had wanted to visit this cozy Japanese home-style restaurant. One weekend, we finally decided to stop by.
오소이는 홍제삼거리에 위치해있는데, 홍제역에서 도보로 약 5~6분 거리에요. 식당 자체가 조용하고 아담해서, 홍제역 근처에서 혼밥이나 데이트하기 좋은 식당 찾는 분들에게도 괜찮아보이더라고요.
Ohsoi is located near Hongje Samgeori, about a 5–6 minute walk from Hongje Station. The restaurant itself is small, quiet, and cozy, making it seem like a great spot for solo dining or a casual date near Hongje Station.
식당 이름인 ‘오소이(Ohsoi)’는 일본어로 ‘느리다’라는 뜻이라고 해요. 입구 안내문에는 음식이 주문 후 바로 조리되기 때문에 시간이 다소 소요될 수 있다고 적혀 있었는데, 덕분에 더 정성스럽게 만든 일본가정식을 기대하게 되더라고요.
The name “Ohsoi” comes from the Japanese word meaning “slow.” There was a notice at the entrance explaining that all dishes are prepared after ordering, so it may take a little time for the food to come out. Somehow, that made me look forward even more to a carefully prepared Japanese home-style meal.
매장 앞에는 오소이의 시그니처 메뉴와 추천 메뉴가 안내되어 있었어요. 첫 방문에는 고민 없이 추천 메뉴 중심으로 골라봤습니다.
In front of the restaurant, there was a sign introducing Ohsoi’s signature and recommended dishes. On my first visit, I decided to go with the recommended menu items.
주문과 결제는 좌석에 앉기 전, 키오스크로 진행하는 방식이에요.
Ordering and payment are done through a kiosk before taking your seat.
좌석은 다찌 형태로만 구성되어 있어 아담하고 조용한 분위기였어요. 오픈 키친 스타일이라 주문한 음식이 만들어지는 모습을 볼 수 있어서 기다리는 시간도 지루하지 않았습니다.
The seating area consists only of counter-style seats, which gives the restaurant a quiet and intimate atmosphere. Since it’s an open kitchen, you can also watch the cooking process while waiting for your food.
오소이에서 먹어본 메뉴는 총 4개인데요. 하나씩 후기를 남겨볼게요.
We ended up trying four different menu items at Ohsoi, so here are my thoughts on each one.
아이는 갈 때마다 늘 카레 정식을 주문했어요. 정식 메뉴는 트레이에 메인 음식과 밥, 장국, 밑반찬이 함께 제공되는 구성인데 전체적으로 정갈하고 깔끔해요.
My child ordered the curry set every time we visited. The set meal comes neatly arranged on a tray with the main dish, rice, soup, and side dishes.
밑반찬은 부드러운 계란찜과 리코타치즈 샐러드, 가지튀김으로 동일하게 나왔고, 전체적으로 담백하고 간이 세지 않아 초등학생인 아이와 함께 먹기에도 괜찮았습니다.
The side dishes included soft steamed egg, ricotta cheese salad, and fried eggplant. Everything was lightly seasoned and not too heavy, which made it a good option even for my elementary school-aged child.
카레는 일본식 스타일의 부드러운 카레였고, 바삭한 튀김도 함께 나왔어요. 밥이 부족할 경우 리필도 가능합니다.
The curry itself was a mild Japanese-style curry served with crispy fried items on the side. If you need more rice, refills are also available.
쇼가야키 정식은 일본식 돼지고기 생강구이 메뉴인데, 짭조름하면서도 달달한 간장 베이스 양념이 밥과 정말 잘 어울렸어요.
The shogayaki set was a Japanese-style ginger pork dish. The slightly sweet and savory soy-based sauce paired perfectly with the rice.
사케동 정식은 숙성이 잘된 연어가 어린잎채소, 날치알과 함께 밥위에 올려져있는데, 식감도 부드럽고 비린 맛 없이 맛있었어요. 밥 상태도 좋아서 전체적인 완성도가 만족스러운 메뉴였습니다.
김에 밥과 연어를 함께 올리고 간장을 살짝 곁들여 먹으니 더욱 맛있게 즐길 수 있었어요.
The sake-don set featured well-aged salmon served over rice with baby greens and flying fish roe. The salmon was soft, fresh, and had no fishy taste at all. Even the rice was delicious, making the entire dish feel very well put together.
Wrapping the salmon and rice in seaweed with a little soy sauce made it even more enjoyable.
등심카츠 정식은 바삭하게 튀겨진 돈카츠 식감이 좋았고, 전체적으로 자극적이지 않은 스타일이라 부담 없이 먹기 좋았어요.
The pork loin katsu set had a wonderfully crispy texture, and the flavors were not overly strong or greasy, making it easy to enjoy comfortably.
홍제동에 이렇게 정갈한 분위기의 일본가정식 식당이 있다는 점이 꽤 만족스러웠어요. 좌석이 많지 않은 아담한 식당이라 시간대에 따라 웨이팅이 생기기도 하지만, 음식 하나하나의 완성도가 좋아 기다려서라도 먹을 만한 곳이라는 생각이 들었습니다. 홍제역 근처에서 깔끔한 일본가정식 맛집을 찾는다면 추천하고 싶은 곳이에요.
I was really happy to find such a neat and thoughtfully prepared Japanese home-style restaurant in Hongje-dong. Since the restaurant is quite small, there can sometimes be a wait during busy hours, but the quality of the food definitely makes it worth it. If you’re looking for a cozy Japanese home-style restaurant near Hongje Station, Ohsoi is a place I’d gladly recommend.
