대학로 데이트 맛집 추천｜홍콩 감성 중식당 갸우뚱

대학로에서 분위기 좋은 중식당을 찾다가, 갸우뚱이라는 곳에 방문하게 되었어요. 갸우뚱은 혜화역 근처에 위치한 맛집으로, 홍콩 감성 분위기와 딤섬 메뉴가 유명한 곳이라고 하더라고요.

While looking for a Chinese restaurant in Daehangno, I ended up visiting a place called Gyauttung (갸우뚱). Located near Hyehwa Station, this popular spot is known for its Hong Kong-inspired atmosphere and dim sum dishes.

외벽의 레드 포인트와 둥근 모양의 창문과 입구가 독특해서, 지나가다가 자연스럽게 시선이 가는 곳이었어요.

The exterior immediately caught my attention with its red sign and unique round-shaped windows and entrance. It was the kind of place that naturally stands out as you walk by.

캐치테이블로 웨이팅 등록

캐치테이블로 웨이팅 등록이 가능하도록 키오스크가 있었고, 저는 예약 후 방문했어요. 이른 저녁 시간은 많이 복잡하지 않더라고요.

There was a Catch Table kiosk at the entrance for waiting list registration, and since I had made a reservation in advance, I was seated without much wait. I visited during the early dinner hours, so it wasn’t overly crowded yet.

수저와 앞접시

테이블에는 수저와 앞접시가 셋팅되어있었고, 기본 자스민차 외에 생수를 요청하면 따로 준비해주시기도 했어요.

The table was already set with utensils and small plates, and besides the complimentary jasmine tea, they also kindly provided bottled water upon request.

단무지와 짜사이

기본찬으로 나온 단무지와 짜사이는 너무 자극적이지 않고, 적당히 짭조름해서 딤섬이나 튀김 메뉴랑 곁들이기 좋았어요.

The pickled radish and zha cai served as side dishes were nicely balanced — not overly strong or salty — making them a great match for the dim sum and fried dishes.

갸우뚱에서 가족 식사를 하며 여러가지 메뉴를 맛볼 수 있었는데요. 대표 메뉴인 샤오롱바오는 아이가 좋아해서 두 판이나 주문해서 먹었어요.

We were able to try a variety of dishes during our family meal at Gyauttung. The restaurant’s signature xiaolongbao was such a hit with my child that we ended up ordering two rounds.

샤오롱바오 3pcs 8,500원

얇은 피 안에 육즙이 가득 들어 있어서, 감칠맛이 가득한 딤섬이었어요.

The dumplings had thin wrappers filled with flavorful soup, making each bite rich and savory.

트러플 쇼마이 3pcs 8,800원

트러플 쇼마이는 일반 쇼마이보다 풍미가 진해서, 색다른 느낌이었고요.

The truffle shumai had a much deeper and richer flavor compared to regular shumai, which made it feel a little more special and unique.

마카롱 멘보샤 16,000원

마카롱 멘보샤는 하트 모양 비주얼부터 너무 귀여웠던 메뉴였어요.

The macaron menbosha was one of the cutest dishes we ordered, especially with its heart-shaped presentation. 

멘보샤 소스

겉은 바삭하고 안에는 새우가 꽉 차 있어 식감도 좋았고, 소스에 찍어먹으면 느끼함도 잡아줘서 맛있었어요.

The outside was crispy while the inside was packed with shrimp, giving it a great texture. Dipping it into the sauce also helped balance out the richness.

깐풍기 28,000원

메인으로 주문한 깐풍기는 바삭하게 튀겨진 닭고기에 매콤달콤한 소스가 잘 어우러졌어요. 너무 맵지 않아서 부담 없이 먹기 좋았고, 맥주랑도 잘 어울릴 것 같은 맛이었습니다.

For one of our main dishes, we ordered the kkanpunggi. The crispy fried chicken coated in a sweet and slightly spicy sauce was really satisfying. It wasn’t too spicy, so it was easy to enjoy, and I could easily imagine it pairing well with beer too.

탕수육 28,000원

갸우뚱 탕수육은 바삭하게 튀긴 탕수육을 새콤달콤한 소스에 버무려서 나오는 스타일이었어요. 소스가 너무 자극적이거나 달지 않아서 아이와 함께 먹기에도 부담없는 메뉴였어요.

The Gyauttung tangsuyuk came coated in a sweet and tangy sauce while still maintaining its crispy texture. The sauce wasn’t overly strong or sugary, which made it a family-friendly dish that even kids could comfortably enjoy.

소고기 차오면 12,800원

소고기 차오미엔은 얇은 면을 사용한 홍콩식 볶음면이에요. 은은한 불향과 짭조름한 간이 잘 어우러져 계속 손이 가는 맛이었고, 면도 퍼지지 않아 식감이 좋았어요.

The beef chow mein was made with thin noodles in classic Hong Kong-style fashion. The subtle smoky wok flavor combined with the savory seasoning made it surprisingly addictive, and the noodles stayed pleasantly chewy without getting soggy.

Overall, I really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food at Gyauttung. From dim sum to tangsuyuk and chow mein, there was a nice variety of dishes to share, making it a great spot for family dining as well as a fun date place near Hyehwa thanks to its stylish interior. If you’re looking for a trendy Chinese restaurant or a good dim sum spot in Daehangno, this place is definitely worth checking out.
