미국 여행 갈 때 꼭 들르게 되는 곳 중 하나가 바로 Bath & Body Works(배쓰앤바디웍스)예요! 한국에도 있긴 하지만 매장 수가 많지 않고, 미국만큼 다양한 컬렉션이 들어오지는 않아서 직접 접할 기회가 많지는 않더라고요.
지금 환율이 1,500원대임에도 불구하고, 미국 현지에서는 세일이 워낙 자주 열려서 한국보다 훨씬 저렴하게 살 수 있었어요. 특히 바디제품이나 핸드솝은 1+1 프로모션을 하는 경우가 많아서 쇼핑하는 재미가 있습니다 :)
Whenever I travel to the U.S., one of the places I always end up visiting is Bath & Body Works! There are a few stores in Korea as well, but they’re still pretty limited, so it’s not something I get to experience very often back home.
Even with the exchange rate currently around 1,500 KRW per dollar, shopping at Bath & Body Works in the U.S. still felt much cheaper because they constantly run promotions and sales. Body care products and hand soaps are especially fun to shop for since they often have buy-one-get-one deals or other multi-buy promotions.
제가 방문한 BBW 매장은 콜로라도 덴버 근교의 대형 쇼핑몰인 Park Meadows 안에 위치한 곳인데요. 콜로라도에서 규모가 큰 쇼핑몰 중 하나라고 하는데, 실제로 가보니 브랜드도 정말 다양했고 쇼핑몰 자체도 굉장히 쾌적한 분위기였어요.

미국도 5월에 Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation Week 등이 있어서인지, 바디/스킨/헤어 제품에 한해 3+3 행사중이었어요.
There were also seasonal promotions tied to Mother’s Day and Teacher Appreciation Week. During my visit, they were running a “Buy 3, Get 3 Free” promotion on selected body, skincare, and hair products.
제가 방문했을 때 메인으로 프로모션 중인 컬렉션은 Vera Bradley 콜라보 제품이었어요.
Vera Bradley는 미국에서 유명한 패턴 가방 브랜드인데, 특유의 화려한 플로럴 패턴 감성이 Bath & Body Works 제품 디자인과 잘 어울리더라고요.
The main collection being promoted at the time was the Vera Bradley collaboration line. Vera Bradley is a well-known American lifestyle and bag brand famous for its colorful floral patterns, and I thought the designs matched Bath & Body Works’ aesthetic surprisingly well.
Gingham 컬렉션은 Bath & Body Works의 대표 시그니처 라인 중 하나라고 해요. 기본 Gingham향이 있고, 시즌에 따라 Gingham Gorgous, Gingham Fresh 이런식으로 변형되어 출시되더라고요. 산뜻한 느낌의 향이라 개인적으로 좋아하는 향 중 하나에요.
The Gingham collection is one of Bath & Body Works’ signature lines. There’s the original Gingham scent, but they also release seasonal variations like Gingham Gorgeous and Gingham Fresh. The fragrance feels clean and refreshing, which is probably why it has remained one of my personal favorites.
Brazil On Our Minds 컬렉션은 이름처럼 굉장히 트로피컬한 분위기였어요. 과일향이나 달달한 향이 많은 편이라 여름 느낌이 강했고, 휴양지 감성 패키지가 눈에 띄더라고요.
The Brazil On Our Minds collection had a very tropical vibe, just like the name suggests. Many of the scents were fruity and sweet, giving off strong summer vacation energy.
그리고 나이가 드니 자연스럽게 Essential Oils 라인에 눈길이 가더라고요. 라벤더나 유칼립투스 같은 아로마 오일을 활용한 제품들이 많아서, 은은하게 힐링되는 느낌이 들었어요. 향 별로 다 사서 써보고 싶지만 다음 기회에....🥲
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve also found myself naturally drawn to the Essential Oils line. There were many products featuring aromatic oils like lavender and eucalyptus, and the whole collection felt calming and relaxing. Honestly, I wanted to try every scent, but maybe next time...
그리고 바디 제품뿐 아니라 세탁 세제, 건조기 시트, 향기 부스터 같은 제품들도 다양하게 판매하고 있었어요. 워낙 향기로 유명한 브랜드라, 미국에 살았다면 세탁용 제품들도 한 번쯤 사용해보고 싶더라고요.
In addition to body care products, the store also carried laundry detergents, dryer sheets, and fragrance boosters. Since Bath & Body Works is already so well known for its fragrances, I couldn’t help thinking that if I lived in the U.S., I’d probably want to try their laundry products too.
전체적으로 Bath & Body Works는 단순히 쇼핑만 하는 곳이라기보다, 미국 특유의 향기 문화를 느낄 수 있는 공간 같아서 갈 때마다 꼭 들르게 되는 곳이에요. 방문할 때마다 새로운 컬렉션과 시즌 한정 제품들이 계속 나오다 보니 매번 색다른 재미가 있더라고요.
화장품을 좋아하는 분이라면, 미국 여행 중 한 번쯤 가보는 것도 추천하고 싶어요 :)
Overall, Bath & Body Works feels like more than just a shopping stop — it almost feels like a place where you can experience American fragrance culture. Every time I visit, there are new collections and seasonal products to discover, which makes browsing the store fun every single time.
