덴버 다운타운에서의 둘째날, 조식을 든든히 먹고 유니온 스테이션 쪽으로 슬슬 걸어갔어요.
After a hearty breakfast on our second day in downtown Denver, we made our way to Denver Union Station on foot.
유니온 스테이션은 덴버 여행에서 빼놓을 수 없는 명소 중 하나인데요. 1914년에 문을 연 기차역으로, 현재는 기차역의 역할뿐만 아니라 다양한 레스토랑과 카페, 디저트 가게가 모여 있는 덴버 다운타운의 대표적인 복합문화공간이에요.
Union Station is one of the city's must-visit landmarks. Originally opened in 1914, it still serves as a transportation hub today, but it has also become a vibrant gathering place filled with restaurants, cafés, bars, and dessert shops. Whether you're catching a train or simply exploring downtown, it's a great place to spend some time.

Milkbox Ice Creamery는 다양한 수제 아이스크림과 밀크셰이크를 판매하는 아이스크림 맛집으로, 역 내부에 위치해 있어 관광 중 잠깐 들르기 좋았어요.
While strolling through Union Station, we decided to take a break and treat ourselves to something sweet, so we stopped by Milkbox Ice Creamery. Located inside the station, it's an ideal spot to cool off with ice cream during a day of sightseeing.

아이스크림은 초콜릿, 바닐라 빈을 비롯해 솔티드 오레오, 피스타치오, 코코넛 등 다양한 맛이 준비되어 있어 취향에 맞게 골라 먹는 재미가 있습니다.
취향에 따라 다양한 토핑을 추가할 수도 있으며, 와플 콘(Waffle Cone), 슈가 콘(Sugar Cone), 케이크 콘(Cake Cone), 컵(Cup) 중 원하는 형태로 선택할 수 있어요.
Milkbox Ice Creamery offers a wide variety of handcrafted ice cream and milkshakes. Flavors include Chocolate, Vanilla Bean, Salted Oreo, Pistachio, Coconut, and many more, so there's something for everyone. You can also customize your order with different toppings and choose between a Waffle Cone, Sugar Cone, Cake Cone, or Cup.
매장 안으로 들어서자마자, 티파니 블루를 연상시키는 민트 컬러 인테리어가 눈길을 사로잡았어요. 웨인스코팅으로 꾸며진 벽면과 화사한 민트 톤이 어우러져 시원한 느낌을 더해주었고, 작은 공간이지만 감성적인 분위기 덕분에 사진도 예쁘게 나오는 곳이더라고요.
As soon as we stepped inside, the interior immediately caught my eye. The Tiffany blue-inspired mint color palette created a fresh and cheerful atmosphere, while the wainscoting and pastel tones gave the shop a charming, photo-worthy look. Even though it's a small space, it feels bright, inviting, and perfect for taking a few travel photos.
저는 초콜릿(Chocolate)과 바닐라 빈(Vanilla Bean) 두 가지 맛을 토핑없이, 더블 스쿱으로 주문했어요. 가격은 $6.50로, 세금/환율까지 생각하면 만원이 넘는데 양도 넉넉한 편이라 아이와 둘이서 나눠먹기 괜찮았어요.
아이스크림은 젤라또를 떠올리게 하는 부드럽고 쫀득한 식감이었어요. 초콜릿은 진한 코코아 풍미가 느껴지면서도 지나치게 달지 않아 부담 없이 즐길 수 있었고, 바닐라 빈은 바닐라 빈이 콕콕 박혀 있어 은은한 향과 깔끔한 맛이 돋보였습니다. 평소 초콜릿과 바닐라 아이스크림을 좋아한다면 실패 없이 즐길 수 있는 조합이에요.
We ordered a double scoop with Chocolate and Vanilla Bean, without any toppings. It cost $6.50, which comes to a little over ₩10,000 after tax and exchange rates, but the portion was generous enough for my child and me to share.
The ice cream had a smooth, slightly chewy texture that reminded me of Italian gelato. The Chocolate flavor had a rich cocoa taste without being overly sweet, while the Vanilla Bean was creamy with real vanilla bean specks and a delicate aroma. If you enjoy classic chocolate and vanilla ice cream, this combination is a safe and satisfying choice.
