미국 덴버 브런치 맛집 | Benedict’s Restaurant

콜로라도 여행 중 덴버 남쪽 Greenwood Village에 위치한 Benedict’s Restaurant에 방문했어요. 현지인들에게 인기 있는 덴버 브런치 맛집으로 알려진 곳이라 기대가 컸는데, 미국 여행에서 즐긴 브런치 중 가장 만족스러운 곳 중 하나였어요.

During our Colorado trip, we visited Benedict's Restaurant in Greenwood Village, a suburban community located just south of Denver. Known as a popular local brunch spot, it ended up being one of the most satisfying breakfast experiences of our trip.

매장은 아늑하고 편안한 분위기였고, 평일 아침이었는데도 손님들이 꾸준히 들어오는 모습을 볼 수 있었어요. 특히 연세가 있는 손님들이 많이 보였는데, 메뉴를 주문하고 식사를 해보니 그 이유를 알겠더라고요.

The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and even on a weekday morning, there was a steady stream of customers coming in. I noticed that many of the guests were older locals, and after looking through the menu and tasting the food, I could easily understand why.

커피는 무제한으로 리필이 가능 ($4.50)

메뉴는 팬케이크, 오믈렛, 에그 베네딕트 등 전형적인 브런치 메뉴들로 구성되어 있었지만, 음식은 건강하고 담백한 편이었어요. IHOP처럼 달고 묵직한 스타일과는 다르게, 기름기가 적고 깔끔해서 부담 없이 즐기기 좋았습니다.

While the menu featured classic brunch favorites such as pancakes, omelets, and Eggs Benedict, the food felt much lighter and healthier than I expected. Unlike heavier chain restaurants such as IHOP, the dishes here were less greasy, less sweet, and overall much more balanced, making them easy to enjoy without feeling overly full.

아이와 함께 방문했더니 키즈 메뉴와 크레용, 활동지를 제공해 주셨어요. 다만 키즈 메뉴를 미처 확인하지 못해 일반 메뉴를 주문해버렸고, 활동지만 가지고 놀았어요.

Since we were dining with our child, the staff provided a kids' menu along with crayons and an activity sheet. Unfortunately, we didn't realize there was a kids' menu until after ordering, so we ended up choosing a regular menu item instead. Still, the activity sheet kept our son entertained while we waited for our food.

Greek Scramble $18.95

제가 주문한 메뉴는 Greek Scramble인데요. 페타치즈와 토마토, 시금치, 버섯, 올리브, 양파, 허브가 들어간 스크램블 에그로, 홈메이드 해시브라운과 함께 제공됐어요. 전체적으로 자극적이지 않고 담백한 맛이라 아침 식사로 부담 없이 즐기기 좋았습니다.

I ordered the Greek Scramble, which included scrambled eggs mixed with feta cheese, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, olives, onions, and herbs. It was served with homemade hash browns on the side. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, and the dish was light enough to enjoy comfortably as a breakfast meal.

Served w/ English Muffin or Toast, Strawberry Jam

빵은 잉글리시 머핀 또는 토스트 중에서 선택할 수 있었고, 토스트를 고를 경우 흰빵과 곡물빵 중에서 다시 선택할 수 있었어요. 저는 곡물빵에 딸기잼을 곁들여 먹었습니다.

For the bread, guests can choose between an English muffin or toast. If you choose toast, you can further select either white bread or whole grain bread. I went with the whole grain toast and enjoyed it with strawberry jam.

Baconberry Benedict $18.95

짝꿍이 주문한 Baconberry Benedict는 바삭한 베이컨과 블랙베리 잼, 스위스 치즈, 수란, 홀랜다이즈 소스가 어우러진 독특한 조합이었는데요. 재료의 균형이 의외로 좋았고, 달콤함과 짭짤함이 자연스럽게 어우러져 색다른 에그 베네딕트를 맛볼 수 있었어요.

My husband ordered the Baconberry Benedict, a unique Eggs Benedict featuring honey cured bacon, blackberry preserves, Swiss cheese, poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce. At first, the combination sounded a little unusual, but the flavors worked surprisingly well together. The sweetness of the blackberry preserves paired beautifully with the savory bacon, creating a delicious sweet-and-savory balance.

Pecan Pancakes $16.95

아이를 위해 주문한 Pecan Pancakes도 만족스러웠어요. 팬케이크 반죽에 고소한 피칸이 듬뿍 들어가 있었고, 시럽과 함께 먹으니 달콤하면서도 부담 없는 맛이었습니다. 양도 상당히 푸짐해서 커다란 팬케이크가 3장이나 나왔는데, 결국 다 먹지 못해 남은 것은 포장해 왔어요.

We also ordered the Pecan Pancakes for our son. The pancake batter was filled with plenty of pecans, giving each bite a rich, nutty flavor. Served with syrup, they were sweet without being overwhelming. The portion size was incredibly generous as well—three large pancakes came on one plate, and we couldn't finish them all, so we ended up taking the leftovers to go.

여행 중에는 유명 관광지뿐만 아니라 현지 사람들이 일상적으로 찾는 식당을 방문하는 재미도 큰데요. Benedict’s Restaurant는 그런 의미에서 더욱 기억에 남는 곳이었습니다. 관광객보다는 현지 손님들이 더 많이 보였고, 음식 역시 화려함보다는 편안하고 건강한 매력이 느껴졌어요. 기회가 된다면 또 방문하고 싶은 곳입니다 :)

One of the things I enjoy most while traveling is discovering restaurants that locals actually visit in their daily lives, not just the well-known tourist spots. Benedict's Restaurant was exactly that kind of place. The dining room was filled mostly with local customers, and the food reflected the same charm—simple, comforting, and wholesome rather than flashy or trendy. If you're looking for brunch spot with a relaxed atmosphere and satisfying food, I would definitely recommend adding Benedict's Restaurant to your list. It's a place I would happily visit again on a future trip to Colorado.
