덴버 여행 둘째 날, 유니언 스테이션 근처 아이스크림 가게에서 아이스크림을 먹은 뒤 리노(RiNo) 예술지구로 천천히 걸어갔어요.
On the second day of our Denver trip, we grabbed some ice cream near Union Station and then took a walk toward the RiNo (River North Art District).
덴버 센트럴 마켓(Denver Central Market)까지는 약 30분 정도 걸렸는데, 날씨가 맑고 선선해서 걷기 정말 좋은 날이었어요. 이날은 2만 보 넘게 걸었지만, 덴버 다운타운의 건물과 거리 풍경을 구경하며 천천히 이동하다 보니 시간 가는 줄 모르겠더라고요.
It took us about 30 minutes to reach Denver Central Market, and the weather was so clear and pleasant that it was perfect for walking. We ended up walking over 20,000 steps that day, but it never felt tiring because we enjoyed taking in the downtown scenery along the way.
덴버 센트럴 마켓(Denver Central Market)은 로컬 맛집이 한곳에 모여 있는 푸드홀(Food Hall)로, 현지인뿐만 아니라 여행객들에게도 인기 있는 곳인데요. 피자, 햄버거, 샌드위치, 해산물, 커피, 아이스크림 등 다양한 음식을 판매하고 있어 취향에 맞게 골라 먹을 수 있어요.
Denver Central Market is a popular food hall featuring a variety of local eateries. From pizza and burgers to sandwiches, fresh seafood, coffee, and ice cream, there's something for everyone, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors.

마침 점심시간이라, Tammen’s Fish Market에서 간단히 사먹기로 했어요. 신선한 해산물을 사용하는 곳으로 유명한데, 메뉴를 보니 피시 앤 칩스와 랍스터롤, 클램차우더 등 미국에서 즐겨 먹는 해산물 메뉴가 다양하게 준비되어 있더라고요.
After looking around, we decided to eat at Tammen's Fish Market. Known for its fresh seafood, the menu included classics like fish and chips, lobster rolls, clam chowder, and more.
매장 앞에는 신선한 생선과 메뉴 샘플이 진열되어 있었는데, 주문 전에 구경하는 재미도 있었어요. 어떤 메뉴를 먹을지 고민된다면 진열된 메뉴 샘플을 보고 선택하는 것도 방법이에요.
At the front of the counter, they had fresh fish on display along with sample dishes, which made it much easier to decide what to order. If you're visiting for the first time, it's worth taking a look before ordering.
주문을 마친 뒤에는 샘스넘버3에서 경험했던 것처럼 휴대폰 번호를 알려 달라고 하셨어요. 음식이 완성되면 문자로 알려주는 방식이었습니다.
저는 한국 번호만 있어서 문자 수신이 어려웠는데, 다행히 직원분께 말씀드리니 메뉴가 준비되면 이름을 불러주겠다고 안내해 주셨어요.
After placing our order, they asked for a phone number so they could text us when the food was ready, just like we experienced at Sam's No. 3. Since we only had our Korean phone number, texting wasn't an option. Thankfully, the staff simply told us they would call out my name instead.
음식을 받은 후에는 수저와 냅킨은 셀프로 챙기면 되고, 곁들여 먹을 양념도 따로 준비되어 있었습니다. 필요한 소스를 소스 접시에 덜어 가져가는 방식이라 원하는 만큼 편하게 이용할 수 있었어요.
Once we picked up our food, utensils and napkins were available at the self-service station. There was also a condiment bar where we could help ourselves to sauces.
저희가 주문한 메뉴는 Fish Tacos였고, 생선은 Hamachi로 선택했는데요. 하마치는 방어(옐로우테일) 계열의 생선으로 부드러운 식감과 담백한 맛이 특징이에요. 신선한 하마치와 아삭한 채소, 소스의 조합이 정말 잘 어울리더라고요.
한입 먹자마자 기대 이상으로 맛있어서 ‘하나만 더 주문할걸!’ 하는 생각이 들 정도였어요. 생선도 신선하고 비린내가 없어 부담 없이 즐길 수 있었고, 평소 해산물을 좋아하는 아이도 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다.
We ordered Fish Tacos with hamachi. Hamachi is a type of yellowtail known for its mild flavor and buttery texture. The fresh fish paired perfectly with the crunchy vegetables and sauce. The tacos were so good that I immediately wished we had ordered one more. The fish was incredibly fresh with no fishy taste at all, and even my son, who enjoys seafood, loved them.
타코 외에도 연어 포케볼을 하나 주문했어요. 연어, 오이, 아보카도, 미역이 들어간 심플한 구성이었는데, 특히 미역이 정말 듬뿍 들어 있어 인상적이었어요. 간장을 살짝 뿌려 비벼 먹으니 간도 딱 맞았고, 전체적으로 담백해서 피시 타코와 함께 먹기에도 잘 어울렸어요.
We also ordered a Salmon Poke Bowl. It came with salmon, cucumber, avocado, and seaweed, and I was surprised by how much seaweed was included. After adding a little soy sauce and mixing everything together, it turned into a light, fresh, and satisfying meal.
음료는 Vero Italian에서 오이 라임 리프레셔(Cucumber Lime Refresher)를 하나 주문했는데요. 한 잔에 6달러라 가격은 조금 비싼 편이었지만, 건조한 덴버 날씨에 오래 걷고 마시니 시원하고 상큼해서 갈증이 싹 해소되었어요.
For drinks, we stopped by Vero Italian and ordered a Cucumber Lime Refresher. At $6, it wasn't exactly cheap, but after walking around in Denver's dry climate, the cold and refreshing drink was exactly what we needed.
