콜로라도 여행 중 들른 스타벅스(Starbucks)와 Chick-fil-A 방문 후기

미국 여행 중 들렀던 스타벅스와 Chick-fil-A를 짧게 기록해 보려고 해요. 각각 개별 포스팅을 하기에는 사진이 많지 않아, 이번 글에서 함께 소개해볼게요.
During our Colorado trip, we stopped by Starbucks and Chick-fil-A. I didn't have enough photos to make separate posts for each, so I decided to combine them into one short travel diary.

✅ 덴버 다운타운 스타벅스에서 만난 Discovery Series (Starbucks in Downtown Denver)

1700 Broadway 건물 로비

덴버 다운타운 스타벅스에 간 이유는, 이번 여행을 기념할만한 컵을 구입하기 위해서였어요.
제가 방문한 매장은 숙소였던 홀리데이인 익스프레스와 가까웠는데요, 콜로라도 주정부사무소가 있는 건물 1층에 위치해서인지 주말에는 영업을 하지 않고 평일에도 오후 일찍 닫더라고요. 건물 로비가 널찍하고 멋있어서 잠시 쉬어가기도 좋은 곳이에요.
The main reason I visited Starbucks in downtown Denver was to pick up a souvenir mug.
The store was just a short walk from our hotel, Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown. Since it's located on the first floor of a Colorado state government building, it's closed on weekends and also closes fairly early on weekdays. The building itself has a spacious and beautiful lobby, making it a nice place to take a short break.

덴버 다운타운 스타벅스

매장 안에는 미국 스타벅스에서만 만날 수 있는 다양한 MD가 진열되어 있었어요. 잠시 구경 후, 커피를 주문하러 갔습니다 :)
Inside the store, there were plenty of Starbucks merchandise items that are only available in the U.S. Before ordering our coffee, I spent quite a while browsing all the mugs and tumblers.

스타벅스 디스커버리 시리즈

기존 Been There Series는 대부분 단종되고 Discovery Series로 변경되었지만, 매장에 따라서는 아직 일부 Been There Series가 남아 있더라고요. 제가 방문한 매장에도 University of Colorado Boulder Been There 머그가 진열되어 있었어요.
저는 이중에서 Denver Discovery Series 머그만 하나 구입했어요. 덴버를 상징하는 도시 풍경과 콜로라도의 로키산맥과 자연을 감각적인 일러스트로 담아낸 디자인이 정말 마음에 들었어요. 특히 컵 안쪽이 하늘색으로 포인트가 되어 있어 산뜻하고 예뻐요.
Although most of the Been There Series has been replaced by the new Discovery Series, some stores still have a few Been There mugs available. This location still had the University of Colorado Boulder Been There mug on display.
In the end, I decided to buy the Denver Discovery Series mug. I loved the colorful illustrations featuring Denver's cityscape along with Colorado's Rocky Mountains and beautiful natural scenery. The sky blue inside added a really nice touch.

콜로라도 스프링스에서 갔던 매장

이번 콜로라도 여행에서 방문했던 다른 스타벅스 매장들에서는 Colorado Discovery Series도 쉽게 볼 수 있었어요. 하지만 이미 Colorado Been There 머그를 가지고 있어서 이번에는 덴버 머그만 구입했습니다.
During our trip, I noticed that many Starbucks stores carried the Colorado Discovery Series mug as well. Since I already own the Colorado Been There mug, I decided to bring home only the Denver version this time.

말차(Matcha)에서 영감을 받은 MD 컬렉션도 눈에 띄었는데요. 말차 특유의 은은한 그린 컬러를 활용한 머그와 콜드컵 등이 출시되었는데, 차분하면서도 세련된 색감 덕분에 데일리로 사용하기 좋아보였어요. 한국에서는 보기 어려운 컬렉션이라 더욱 눈길이 갔어요.
Another collection that caught my eye was the Matcha-inspired merchandise. The mugs and cold cups featured soft green tones inspired by matcha, giving them a clean and elegant look that would be perfect for everyday use.

✅ Chick-fil-A 키즈밀 후기 (Chick-fil-A Kids Meal)

미국을 대표하는 치킨 프랜차이즈인 Chick-fil-A도 여행 중 딱 한 번, 아이 간식을 사주기 위해서 방문했어요.
We only visited Chick-fil-A once during our trip to grab a quick meal for our son.

키즈 메뉴를 담아주는 종이봉투

정말 오랜만에 주문해본 키즈밀(Kids Meal)- 메인은 치킨 너겟 또는 치킨 스트립 중 하나를 선택할 수 있고, 사이드 메뉴와 음료, 그리고 간단한 장난감까지 함께 제공되어 아이들이 좋아할 만한 구성이었어요.
키즈밀을 담아주는 봉투에도 아이들이 즐길 수 있는 crossword puzzle(낱말 퍼즐) 같은 액티비티가 있어, 심심함을 달래줄 수 있어요. 
It had been a long time since we ordered a Kids Meal. You can choose either chicken nuggets or chicken strips as the main item, and it also comes with a side, a drink, and a small toy—everything kids would enjoy.
Even the Kids Meal bag was thoughtfully designed. It included fun activities like a crossword puzzle, which helped keep kids entertained while waiting for their food.

키즈밀

주문할 때 원하는 소스를 직원에게 직접 얘기하면 되는데요, Chick-fil-A는 소스를 넉넉하게 제공하는 편이라 취향에 맞게 여러 가지를 받아 다양한 맛으로 즐길 수 있어요. 저는 개인적으로 기본 Chick-fil-A Sauce가 가장 맛있더라고요.
When ordering, don't forget to ask for your preferred sauces, as they aren't automatically included. Chick-fil-A is quite generous with its sauces, so you can usually try several different ones. My personal favorite was the classic Chick-fil-A Sauce.

여행을 다니다 보면 현지 맛집을 우선 찾게 되다 보니 의외로 미국 프랜차이즈를 방문할 기회는 많지 않더라고요. 다음 미국 여행에서는 In-N-Out이나 Shake Shack 같은 다른 프랜차이즈도 조금 더 여유롭게 즐겨보고 싶네요.
Looking back, we actually didn't visit many American fast-food chains during this trip because we spent most of our time trying local restaurants. Still, I was happy to pick up a memorable Starbucks mug and experience Chick-fil-A's Kids Meal along the way. They ended up being small but memorable parts of our Colorado adventure.
