**긴글주의**
드디어 끝이 보이는 2024년 오사카 여행기. 사실 오사카 여행의 목적이 유니버설 스튜디오 재팬 방문을 위한 거라고 해도 과언이 아니에요.
USJ 티켓은 2달 전부터 오픈되기 때문에, 기다렸다가 여행 일정 중 티켓이 비교적 가장 저렴한 날짜를 골라서 샀어요. 입장권과 익스프레스 티켓은 교환/환불이 안되기 때문에 여행을 무리없이 다녀올 수 있기를 어찌나 걱정+기도했는지... 다행히 무사히 정말 즐겁게(?) 잘 다녀왔습니다.
Finally, I went to Universal Studios Japan on the sixth day of my trip in Osaka.
Knowing that tickets become available two months prior, I patiently waited and purchased them for a date during the trip when they were more affordable. Given that admission tickets and express passes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, I couldn't help but worry about potential mishaps during our journey. However, thankfully, everything went smoothly, and I was able to truly enjoy the experience.
저희는 클룩에서 익스프레스 펀4 티켓을 구입했는데요, 슈퍼 닌텐도 월드 입장 확약권이 포함되어있었고 총 4개의 어트랙션을 탈 수 있어요. 아이의 키가 아직 122cm가 되지 않았기 때문에, 각 어트랙션의 키 제한을 살펴보고 가장 많이 즐길 수 있는 걸로 구입했어요.
I purchased Express Pass tickets from Klook, which included guaranteed entry to Super Nintendo World and allowed us to experience a total of 4 attractions. Since our child's height has not yet reached 122cm, I carefully examined the height restrictions for each attraction and selected the ones that we could enjoy the most.
어트랙션을 타는 시간대도 선택이 가능한데, 닌텐도 월드에서 2시간만 보내기엔 시간이 너무 부족하더라고요. 아이가 닌텐도 월드를 가장 기대하고 간거라 어플로 정리권을 또 받아서 결국 2번 입장했습니다 :)
We were able to choose the time slots for each ride, but we found that spending only 2 hours at Super Nintendo World wasn't enough. Since our child was most excited about visiting Nintendo World, we ended up obtaining another admission pass through the app and ultimately entered twice.
오사카에서 머무는 내내 날씨가 변덕스러워서 비가 올까 걱정했지만, USJ 간 날 다행히 여행 중 가장 날씨가 좋았어요. 아침 8시 30분에 입장 후, 저는 일단 혼자 해리포터 에어리어로 달려갔어요.
Throughout our stay in Osaka, I was worried about the unpredictable weather, fearing it might rain. However, fortunately, that day had the best weather during our trip. We entered at 8:30 in the morning, and I headed straight to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter on my own.
"해리포터 앤드 더 포비든 저니"를 꼭 타고 싶었는데, 키 제한 때문에 온 가족이 함께 탈 수 없는 상황이라 일단 오픈런으로 가장 먼저 달려가서 혼자 타기로 했어요. (제가 해리포터를 워낙 좋아해서....^^) USJ 언제 또 갈 수 있을지 모르니 꼭 타겠다는 마음으로 달려갔어요. 제가 어트랙션 타는 동안 아이는 아빠랑 유니버설 원더랜드에서 회전목마 타며 놀고 있었고요.
As I'm a fan of Harry Potter, I really wanted to ride 'Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,' but due to height restrictions, the whole family couldn't ride together. So, I decided to run straight to it as soon as it opened and ride it alone. While I enjoyed the attraction, my child and husband had fun riding the carousel at Universal Wonderland.
오픈 이후엔 줄이 너무 길어서 맛도 못 본 버터 맥주. 사진만 찍어보았어요.
Watching the streets of Hogsmeade was delightful! The Butterbeer wagon wasn't open yet, so I only managed to take a photo as I passed by.
"해리포터 앤드 더 포비든 저니" 어트랙션은 호그와트 성 안에 있는데요. 줄 서는 공간이 생생하게 꾸며져 있어서 사실 대기하며 볼거리도 제일 많은 곳이에요.
The 'Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey' attraction is located inside Hogwarts Castle. The queue area itself is intricately decorated, so there's actually plenty to see while waiting, making it the most interesting place to be.
원래 기본 대기 2시간인데, 오픈런 하니 약 20분 만에 탑승가능하더라고요. 호그와트 성 내부도 빠르게 지나치며 사진으로 남겨봅니다.
The standard waiting time is usually about 2 hours, but since I arrived there right at opening, I was able to board in about 20 minutes. I quickly passed through the inside of Hogwarts Castle and captured some of it in photos.
이건 1편 마법사의 돌에 나오는 거울인 거 같죠...?
This seems to be the mirror from "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," which is said to reflect a person's deepest desires.
중간에 라커에 짐을 보관하도록 안내하더라고요. 양손 가볍게 탈 수 있어 좋았어요.
I was instructed to store my belongings in lockers, which made it convenient to ride without any baggage.
움직이는 그림들도 있고- 정말 영화 속 장면이 그대로 재현되어있어 들어가는 내내 즐거웠습니다.
There were moving pictures as well, and it was truly enjoyable to see scenes from the movie perfectly recreated.
조금 어색했던 건 일본어 하는 덤블도어 교수님...^^
The slightly awkward part was seeing Dumbledore speaking Japanese.
Defense against Dark Arts 교실도 있었어요. 다음생엔 호그와트 마법학교에 다닐 수 있는 평행 세계에서 태어날 수 있기를.
There was also the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. I hope to be born in a parallel world where I can attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in my next life...
그리핀도르 기숙사를 지키는 Fat Lady.
I also met the Fat Lady who guards the Gryffindor common room.
Sorting Hat이 보이고, 곧 어트랙션을 탑승할 수 있었어요. 대기줄이 짧다보니 호그와트 내부를 빠르게 훑어봐야해서 조금 아쉽긴했어요.
I caught a glimpse of the Sorting Hat, and soon I was able to board the attraction.
대기하며 어플로 틈틈이 슈퍼 난텐도 월드 정리권 발권 시간도 확인했어요. 입장시간이 이른 순서대로 발권이 되기 때문에, 어트랙션에서 내리자마자 오후 5시로 받을 수 있었어요. (이때가 오전 9시쯤이었습니다.)
While waiting, I also checked the Super Nintendo World entry issuance time through the app. I was planning to re-enter after using up all my express pass rides, and I was able to receive the entry for 5 p.m. after getting off the ride. (This was around 9 a.m. at the time.)
해리포터 앤드 더 포비든 저니는 어트랙션의 길이가 제법 길어서 공이 많이 들어간 느낌이 들더라고요. 짝꿍이 한 번 더 타고 싶으면 한 번 더 타랬는데, 나와보니 이미 대기가 100분으로 늘어나있어서... 오픈런하길 잘했다는 생각이 들었어요. ^^
짐을 찾고 나오면 바로 기념품샵이 나와요.
After the ride, my husband suggested going once more, but the waiting time had already extended to 100 minutes... It was definitely worth going early that day. Once I retrieved my belongings and exited, there was a souvenir shop.
죽음의 성물 키링- 기념으로 살까말까 고민하다 내려두고 왔어요.
I thought of buying a Deathly Hallows keychain as a souvenir but ended up not to...
다음으로 간 곳은 올리밴더의 마법 지팡이 가게. 여기서 아들과 짝꿍이랑 만나서 대기했어요.
The next place we visited was Ollivander's Wand Shop.

The Hogwarts Castle looked lovely in the clear weather.
올리밴더 역할의 배우가 아이를 한명 지목해서 영화처럼 지팡이 구매를 체험해보는 곳인데, 영어와 일본어로 둘 다 대사를 하셨어요. 지목당한 아이가 참 부럽더라고요. 평생의 추억이 될 듯...!
This was a place where the actor playing Ollivander selects one child to experience purchasing a wand just like in the movies, delivering lines in both English and Japanese. The child chosen must have felt so lucky. It's a shame my son wasn't chosen.
체험이 끝난 후에는 인터랙티브 마법 지팡이를 샀어요. 아이는 아직 해리포터에 큰 관심이 없어서, 해리포터 지팡이를 고르더라고요. 유니버설 스튜디오 헐리우드에서는 아이의 성향에 따라 지팡이 추천도 해준다던데, 담에 LA에 가서는 제 지팡이를 하나 구매해볼까합니다...ㅎㅎㅎ
After the experience, I bought an interactive magic wand for my son. Even though he isn't very interested in Harry Potter yet, he ended up choosing Harry Potter's wand. I heard that at Universal Studios Hollywood, they even recommend wands based on the child's personality. So, next time I go to LA, I might consider purchasing one for myself...
해리포터 에어리어에서 조금 놀다보니, 닌텐도 월드 입장 시간이 다가와서 바로 닌텐도 월드로 향했어요.
After spending some time in the Harry Potter area, we realized that the entry time for Nintendo World was approaching, so we headed straight to Super Nintendo World.
입장하며 파워 업 밴드도 당연히 하나 샀습니다.
As we entered, we also purchased a Power-Up Band. I heard that both this Power-Up Band and the wand I bought earlier can be used at other Universal Studios locations. (It's fortunate that they're not just one-time use items...)
SNS에서 수없이 봤던 풍경이 눈 앞에... 정말 아기자기하게 잘 꾸며져있어요.
The scenery I've seen countless times on social media was right in front of me... It's truly charmingly decorated.
키노피오랑 사진 찍고, 익스프레스로 구입한 "요시의 어드벤처"도 바로 탑승했어요. 대기 시간 70분 찍혀있었지만, 익스프레스 티켓 소지자는 5분 만에 탑승- 여기서 느껴보는 자본주의의 위엄...
After taking a photo with Kinopio we immediately boarded "Yoshi's Adventure" which I purchased with the Express Pass. Although the waiting time was displayed as 70 minutes, Express Pass holders boarded in just 5 minutes...!
어트랙션은 초고학년들은 시시하게 느껴질 수 있지만, 겁 많은 유치원생인 저희 아들 수준에 딱 맞더라고요.
While the attraction might seem simple for older kids, it was just right for my kindergarten son.
아침을 굶었던지라, 요시의 스낵 아일랜드에서 간단히 요기를 하고.
Since we skipped breakfast, we bought some snacks at Yoshi's Snack Island.
파워 업 밴드로 틈틈이 동전 얻고, 열쇠 2개 획득하고 나니 바로 다음 어트랙션을 타러 가야할 시간이더라고요. 정말 정리권 미리 받아두길 잘했다는 생각이 들었습니다..!
Using the Power-Up Band, we collected coins and obtained two keys. Soon after, it was time to head to the next attraction. I realized how wise it was to have received another Entry Pass in advance..!
"싱온투어"는 일루미네이션에서 제작한 영화 "씽"의 캐릭터들이 공연을 펼치는 어트랙션인데, 앉아서 관람하는거라 잠시 쉬어가기 좋았어요. 다리가 이 때부터 매우 아팠거든요...
"Sing On Tour" is an attraction where characters from the movie "Sing," created by Illumination, perform a show. It was a nice break to sit and watch for a while.
뉴욕 거리도 걷고, 미니언 파크에 가서 "미니언 메이헴" 어트랙션도 탑승했어요.
We also walked through the New York streets and visited the Minion Park to ride the "Minion Mayhem" attraction.
미니언 파크에서 나오니, 퍼레이드 시간이더라고요. 디즈니랜드만큼의 규모는 아니지만 굉장히 신났어요. 마지막 피날레는 피카츄와 마리오 :)
이쯤 배고파서 음료랑 핫도그도 하나씩 사먹었던 것 같아요.
As we exited Minion Park, it was time for the parade. Although not as large-scale as Disneyland, it was still very exciting. The finale featured Pikachu and Mario :) By this point, we were hungry, so we each bought a drink and a hotdog.
해리포터 에어리어의 "플라이트 오브 더 히포그리프" 탑승 시간이 바로 다음이라, 다시 해리포터 에어리어로 갔습니다.
Since the "Flight of the Hippogriff" ride was up next, we headed back to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter again.

On the way, we took some photos in front of the car Ron Weasley drove. It seemed to react to the interaction wand.
플라이트 오브 더 히포그리프는 아이가 너무 무서워해서 결국 아이는 못타긴 했어요. 직원에게 얘기하니, 대기 공간에 아이와 함께 기다려주며 짝꿍과 돌아가며 탑승할수 있게 배려해주시더라고요.
어트랙션 탑승 후, 지팡이 마법도 몇 번 체험했습니다. 그려진 모양으로 지팡이를 휘두르면 마법이 실행되는, 신기한 체험이었어요.
The "Flight of the Hippogriff" ride was too scary for my child, so unfortunately, he couldn't ride it. When I explained to the staff, they kindly allowed us to take turns waiting with the child in the queue area, so my husband and I could ride alternately.
After riding the attraction, we also experienced wand magic a few times. It was fascinating to see the wand execute magic when waved according to the drawn shapes.
오후 5시 워터월드 쇼도 보고. (워터월드는 시작 시간 10분 전에 입장하면 대기없이 볼 수 있어요)
We also watched the Waterworld show at 5 p.m. (If you enter 10 minutes before the start time, you can watch without waiting in line.)
쇼가 끝난 후에는 다시 닌텐도 월드로 갔습니다.
Applause to the actors! After the show ended, we returned to Nintendo World.
이제 익스프레스는 다 썼고, 아이가 마리오 카트를 타고 싶다고 하더라고요. 유일하게 2시간 가까이 기다려서 탄 어트랙션이에요.
Now that we've used up all our Express passes, my child expressed a desire to ride the Mario Kart. It was the only attraction we waited for, nearly two hours.
마리오 헬멧과 고글을 끼고, 진짜 닌텐도 마리오 카트 게임을 하듯이 타는 어트랙션이라 재밌더라고요. 파워 업 밴드가 있다면 동전도 다 적립돼요.
Wearing Mario helmets and goggles, riding the attraction felt just like playing a real Nintendo Mario Kart game. It was really enjoyable. And if you have a Power-Up Band, you can also collect coins along the way.
마지막 열쇠 획득 후, 쿠파 주니어랑 파이널 챌린지도 하고.
After obtaining all three keys, we also took part in Koopa Junior's Final Challenge.
어느새 다가온 폐장 시간... 이 날은 오후 8시 폐장이었어요. 정말 12시간 꽉 채워서 놀았습니다.
Before we knew it, closing time was approaching... The park closed at 8 p.m. that day. It was indeed a day filled with 12 hours of fun.
익스프레스 4를 끊었는데도, 하루가 굉장히 바빴어요. 나오면서 보니 쥬라기 공원은 아얘 들어가보지도 못했더라고요.
Even though we purchased the Express 4, the day was incredibly busy. As we were leaving, I realized we didn't even get a chance to visit Jurassic Park.
이날 2만보 정도 걷고 발바닥에 불이 날 지경이었는데, 다행히 호텔까지의 이동시간이 30분 정도라 우메다에 숙소를 잡은 게 새삼 또 다행이라 생각했어요. 귀여운 인형 2마리까지 새로 득템하며, 이렇게 마무리 된 유니버설 스튜디오 재팬에서의 하루.
On that day, I walked about 20,000 steps, and my feet were burning by the end of it. Fortunately, the travel time back to the hotel was only about 30 minutes, so I was once again grateful for choosing a hotel in Umeda.
아이도 가장 기대했던 날이라 그런지, 힘들어하지도 않고 제일 재밌었다고 하더라고요. 저도 다리는 아팠지만, 오랜만에 가본 영화 컨셉 테마파크라 너무 즐거웠어요. 왜 인기가 많은 곳인지 컨텐츠의 대단함을 뼈저리게 느끼고 왔습니다 :)
My child appeared to have enjoyed that day the most, as he didn't show any signs of exhaustion and mentioned it was the most enjoyable. Despite the pain in my legs, I also had a wonderful time at the movie-themed amusement park. I truly felt the greatness of the content, which made me understand why it's such a popular destination.
