덴버 여행 중 하루는 Colorado Springs에 위치한 Great Wolf Lodge에서 숙박했어요. 실내 워터파크로 유명한 미국 가족 리조트라 아이 동반 여행객들에게 특히 인기가 많은 곳인데요. 저희는 가장 기본 객실 중 하나인 Deluxe Queen Suite 룸타입에서 머물렀습니다.
During our trip at Denver, we spent one night at Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs. Known for its indoor water park, this family-friendly resort is especially popular among travelers with kids. We stayed in one of the standard room types, the Deluxe Queen Suite.

체크인 후에는 객실 키 역할을 하는, 늑대 그림이 그려진 RFID 팔찌를 받았어요. 이 팔찌는 객실 카드키 기능뿐 아니라 워터파크 입장 시에도 사용되었고, 리조트 내부에서는 신용카드 대신 결제 후 체크아웃 때 한 번에 정산할 수 있어 정말 편리했습니다.
After check-in, we received RFID wristbands with little wolf designs on them. These wristbands worked not only as room keys, but also for entering the water park. We could even charge purchases around the resort directly to the room and pay everything at checkout, which was honestly very convenient.
✅ Deluxe Queen Suite 객실 내부 (Room Tour)
이번에 숙박한 Deluxe Queen Suite룸타입은 널찍한 퀸베드 2개와 침대처럼 펼쳐서 사용할 수 있는 슬리퍼 소파가 함께 구성되어 있어, 최대 5명까지 이용할 수 있는 방이었어요.
The Deluxe Queen Suite came with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa that could be converted into a bed, allowing up to five guests to stay in the room.
사실 소파가 침대로도 사용 가능한 슬리퍼 소파라는 건 Great Wolf Lodge 홈페이지를 보고 알게 되었어요. 머무는 동안에는 일반 소파인 줄만 알았는데, 침대로 변형할 수 있다고 하더라고요. (한번 펼쳐보고 싶은 호기심이 생기네요..🤔)
I actually didn’t realize the sofa was a sleeper sofa until I looked it up on the Great Wolf Lodge website while preparing this post. During our stay, I just thought it was a regular couch! Now I’m kind of curious what it looks like when folded out into a bed..
객실 한쪽에는 2인이 간단히 앉을 수 있는 작은 테이블 공간도 마련되어 있었는데요. 간식이나 음료를 먹거나 간단히 짐을 정리할 때 꽤 유용했어요.
There was also a small table area for two people on one side of the room, which turned out to be quite useful for snacks, drinks, or organizing our things.
테이블과 침대 옆에는 빈티지한 랜턴 스타일 조명이 설치되어 있어, 마치 캠핑이나 산장(lodge)에 온 듯한 분위기를 더해줬어요. Great Wolf Lodge 특유의 리조트 감성과도 잘 어울렸습니다.
The table and bedside area featured vintage lantern-style lighting, giving the room a cozy cabin or lodge atmosphere. It matched the Great Wolf Lodge theme really well and added to the overall resort vibe.
객실에는 작은 발코니 공간도 있었는데요. 문을 열고 나가면 탁 트인 마운틴뷰가 펼쳐져 있어서 분위기가 좋더라고요. 콜로라도 특유의 맑은 공기와 조용한 풍경 덕분에 잠시 밖에 서 있기만 해도 절로 힐링되는 느낌이었어요.
Our room also had a balcony with an open mountain view. The scenery was much nicer than I expected, and the fresh Colorado air made it feel especially relaxing. Even standing outside for a few minutes felt healing after spending time in the busy water park.
텔레비전 뒤쪽으로는 늑대 실루엣 장식이 들어가 있었고, 티비장에는 곰 발자국 모양 디테일까지 더해져 있었는데요. 객실 곳곳에 Great Wolf Lodge 특유의 동물 테마 요소들이 숨어 있어서 리조트 컨셉에 굉장히 충실하다는 느낌이 들었습니다.
Behind the television, there was a wolf silhouette decoration, and the TV stand even had little bear paw details. I liked how the resort stayed committed to its animal and lodge theme throughout the room design.
✅ 객실 편의시설 (Room Amenities)
옷걸이 공간은 객실 입구 쪽 미니바 옆에 위치해 있었고, 수영복이나 겉옷을 걸어두기 편한 구조라 워터파크 이용 후 잘 활용했어요.
지금보니, 선반 위에 놓여 있던 여분 침구류는 소파베드를 펼쳐 사용할 때 함께 이용할 수 있는 구성인 것 같아요. 가족 단위 투숙객이 많은 리조트답게 이런 부분도 잘 준비되어 있다는 느낌이 들었습니다.
The closet and hanging area were located near the minibar by the entrance, making it convenient for hanging swimsuits and jackets after using the water park. Looking back now, I think the extra bedding stored on the shelf was probably intended for guests using the sleeper sofa. It definitely felt like the resort was thoughtfully designed for families.
미니바에는 미니 냉장고와 커피머신, 전자레인지가 준비되어 있어서 간단한 음식이나 아이 간식을 보관하기 편했어요. 워터파크 이용 후 늦은 시간에 간단히 먹을 것을 데우기에도 꽤 유용하더라고요.
The mini bar included a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, which made it easy to store snacks and simple meals for the kids. It was especially useful for heating up food late at night after spending hours at the water park.
다만 생수는 객실에 따로 제공되지 않았고, 리조트 내부에서도 별도의 급수기를 보지는 못했어요. (제빙기는 봤는데…) 그래서 물은 리조트 내 매장이나 자판기에서 따로 구매해서 마셔야 하는 것 같았어요.
One thing to note is that bottled water was not provided in the room, and I didn’t notice any water refill stations around the resort either (though I did see ice machines). So it seems guests need to purchase water separately from the vending machines or resort shops.
커피머신은 캡슐형이 아니라 드립 커피 방식이라 처음 보는 형태였는데요. 덕분에 남는 드립백은 챙겨와서 집에서도 맛있게 마실 수 있었어요.
The coffee maker was also interesting because it used drip coffee packs instead of capsules. I actually ended up bringing the leftover drip coffee packs home and enjoyed them later.
✅ 욕실 & 어메니티 (Bathroom & Amenities)
욕실은 욕조와 세면대, 변기가 함께 있는 기본적인 구조였어요. 전체적으로 깔끔하게 관리되고 있었고, 가족 단위 여행객들이 사용하기에 무난한 느낌이었습니다.
The bathroom had a simple layout with a bathtub, sink, and toilet. It was clean and perfectly fine for a family stay.
세면대에는 클렌징바 형태의 비누와 바디로션이 준비되어 있었고, 욕조 샤워 공간에는 헤어샴푸와 바디샴푸가 비치되어 있었어요.
There was cleansing facial bar and body lotion by the sink, while shampoo and shower gel were provided in the shower area.
미국 호텔 욕조답게 크기가 아주 넓지는 않아서 반신욕을 즐길 정도는 아니었지만, 아이 씻기에는 크게 불편하지 않았어요. 수압도 괜찮은 편이었고 따뜻한 물도 잘 나와서 워터파크 이용 후 씻기 좋았습니다.
Like many American hotel bathtubs, it wasn’t large enough for a proper soaking bath, but it worked well enough for showering. The water pressure was decent, and the hot water worked very well too.
수건도 넉넉하게 제공되었고, 헤어드라이기도 준비되어 있어서 기본적인 편의시설은 잘 갖춰져 있었어요.
Plenty of towels were provided, and a hair dryer was also included, so the basic amenities were all well prepared.
객실 문 안쪽에는 Great Wolf Lodge의 ‘Hibernation Hours’ 안내문도 붙어 있었는데요. 밤 11시부터 오전 7시까지는 조용히 지내달라는 일종의 매너 타임 안내였습니다.
아이 동반 가족 여행객이 많은 리조트이다 보니 복도에서 뛰거나 큰 소리를 내지 않도록 안내되어 있었어요. 또한 Great Wolf Lodge 전체가 금연 환경으로 운영되고 있어서 객실 발코니에서도 흡연이 금지된다고 적혀 있었어요.
Inside the room door, there was also a “Hibernation Hours” notice from Great Wolf Lodge. It asked guests to keep noise levels low between 11 PM and 7 AM.
Since this is a resort popular with families and children, there were reminders not to run or shout in the hallways. The resort is also entirely smoke-free, and smoking is prohibited even on the guest room balconies.
Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs는 아이와 함께 편하게 즐기기 좋은 미국 가족 리조트였어요. 객실 곳곳의 동물 테마 디테일도 인상적이었고, 워터파크를 실컷 즐긴 뒤 쉬기에도 편안한 숙소였습니다.
다음에 기회가 된다면 아이들이 좋아할 만한 2층 침대가 있는 Wolf Den 테마 객실에도 묵어보고 싶네요🐺

Overall, Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs was a fun and comfortable family resort to enjoy with kids. I especially liked the little animal-themed details hidden throughout the room, and it was a relaxing place to rest after spending hours at the water park.
If we get the chance to visit again someday, I’d love to try one of the Wolf Den themed rooms with the bunk beds 🐺
