이번 포스팅에서는 Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs에서 이용한 조식 뷔페 후기를 소개하려고 해요.
전날 워터파크에서 신나게 놀고 난 뒤, 아침부터 든든하게 배를 채우기 위해 조식당을 찾았는데요. 미국 가족 리조트답게 아이들과 함께 식사하기 좋은 메뉴들이 다양하게 준비되어 있었습니다.

Loose Moose Family Kitchen

조식은 1층에 위치한 Loose Moose Family Kitchen에서 이용할 수 있었어요. 이곳은 아침에는 조식 뷔페를, 저녁에는 파스타와 플랫브레드 등 이탈리안 메뉴를 중심으로 한 뷔페를 운영하는 곳이에요. 디저트 코너도 함께 마련되어 있어 가족 단위 투숙객들이 이용하기 좋아 보였어요.
Breakfast is served at Loose Moose Family Kitchen, located on the first floor of the resort. In the morning, it operates as a breakfast buffet, while in the evening it offers a buffet featuring Italian-inspired dishes such as pasta and flatbreads. There also appeared to be a dessert section, making it a convenient dining option for families staying at the resort.

어린이 손님을 위한 활동지

아이와 함께 방문하니 색칠공부 용지와 크레용도 챙겨주셨어요. 미국 식당에서는 음식을 기다리는 동안 아이들이 지루하지 않도록 이런 활동지를 준비해두는 경우가 많은데요. 다만 이미 각종 도파민 콘텐츠에 익숙해진 초등학생인 저희 아이는 큰 관심을 보이지 않더라고요 😂
그런데 신기하게도 주변 미국인 가족들 중에는 스마트폰을 보고 있는 아이들을 거의 찾아볼 수 없었어요. 대부분 부모와 대화를 나누거나 색칠공부를 하며 시간을 보내고 있어서 꽤 인상적이었습니다.
Since we were visiting with a child, the staff provided a coloring sheet and crayons at our table. This is something I often notice in American restaurants, where simple activities are offered to keep kids entertained while waiting for their food. Unfortunately, my son—already accustomed to the endless dopamine of modern digital entertainment—wasn't particularly interested...
What surprised me, though, was that I hardly saw any children on their phones. Most were talking with their parents or working on their coloring sheets, which I found quite refreshing.

커피와 크림

음료는 뷔페 코너에서 직접 가져오는 방식이 아니라 직원에게 요청하면 자리로 가져다주는 시스템이었어요. 저는 따뜻한 커피를 한 잔 마셨습니다.
Drinks were not self-serve. Instead, a server would bring beverages directly to your table upon request. I ordered a cup of hot coffee to start the day.

✅ Great Wolf Lodge 조식 메뉴 (Breakfast Menu)

소시지, 감자, 프렌치토스트, 비스킷 앤 그레이비, 와플, 스크램블 에그 (사진에 없는 메뉴가 더 많음)

핫푸드 코너에는 소시지와 감자, 스크램블 에그를 비롯해 맥앤치즈, 프렌치토스트, 팬케이크, 와플, 그리고 미국식 조식 메뉴인 비스킷 앤 그레이비(Biscuits & Gravy)도 있었어요. 비스킷 앤 그레이비는, 부드러운 비스킷에 걸쭉한 소시지 그레이비 소스를 곁들여 먹는 음식인데, 한국에서는 쉽게 접하기 어려운 메뉴라 여행 중 한 번쯤 맛보기 좋았어요. 미국 호텔이나 리조트 조식에서 기대할 수 있는 메뉴들은 대부분 갖춰져 있었습니다.
The hot food section included breakfast staples such as sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs, mac and cheese, French toast, pancakes, waffles, and the classic American breakfast dish Biscuits & Gravy. For those unfamiliar with it, Biscuits & Gravy consists of soft biscuits topped with a rich and creamy sausage gravy. It’s not something commonly found in Korea, so it was fun to try while traveling in the United States. Overall, the buffet offered most of the dishes you would expect from a typical American hotel or resort breakfast.

요거트, 과일

그 옆에는 요거트와 과일 코너가 있었는데요. 과일도 사과, 오렌지, 딸기, 블루베리, 메론, 파인애플 등 다양하게 준비되어있어 상대적으로 가볍게 아침 식사를 하고 싶은 분들도 부담 없이 즐길 수 있는 구성이었어요.
Next to the hot food station was a yogurt and fruit section. There was a surprisingly good variety of fresh fruit, including apples, oranges, strawberries, blueberries, melon, and pineapple, making it a great option for anyone looking for a lighter breakfast.

다양한 토핑류

와플이나 팬케이크에 곁들여 먹을 수 있는 토핑도 준비되어 있었어요. 마시멜로와 초콜릿, 휘핑크림, 초코시럽, 스프링클스까지 달달한 종류로 구성되어있어 아이들이 가장 좋아할 만한 코너가 아닐까 싶었습니다.
There was also a toppings station for waffles and pancakes, featuring marshmallows, chocolate chips, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and colorful sprinkles. This seemed to be one of the most popular areas for kids!

Brisket, 오믈렛 스테이션

조식 뷔페에서는 흔히 보기 어려운 브리스킷(Brisket)도 제공되고 있었어요. 미국 BBQ에서 자주 볼 수 있는 훈제 소고기 요리인데, 조식 메뉴로 만나니 조금 색다르게 느껴졌습니다.
One item that stood out to me was the brisket, which is not something I would normally expect to see at a breakfast buffet. Since brisket is a staple of American barbecue, it felt like a unique addition to the morning menu.

개인적으로 가장 인상적이었던 곳은 즉석 오믈렛 스테이션이었는데요. 원하는 재료를 선택하면 직원이 바로 눈앞에서 계란요리를 만들어 주는 방식이었습니다. 무엇보다 직원분이 워낙 유쾌해서 조식 시간 내내 기분 좋은 분위기를 만들어주고 있었어요.
My favorite part of the buffet, however, was the omelet station. Guests could choose their preferred ingredients, and the staff would cook the eggs right in front of them. Not only was the food fresh and delicious, but the chef was also incredibly friendly and energetic, creating a fun atmosphere throughout breakfast service.

이외에도 크루아상과 데니시 등 다양한 페이스트리가 준비되어 있었고, 식빵과 토스터기, 오트밀 코너도 따로 마련되어 있었습니다.
In addition to all of that, the buffet also offered a variety of pastries, including croissants and Danish pastries.

씨리얼 디스펜서

시리얼 코너에는 5종류나 갖춰져 있어서 아이부터 어른까지 각자 취향에 맞게 아침 식사를 즐길 수 있어 보였어요.
The cereal section featured five different varieties, giving both kids and adults plenty of options to choose from.

Great Wolf Lodge의 조식은 아이와 함께 부담 없이 즐기기 좋은 미국식 리조트 조식이었어요. 메뉴도 다양했고, 가족들이 함께 식사를 즐기는 편안한 분위기도 인상적이었습니다.
워터파크를 이용하기 전 든든하게 하루를 시작하기에 충분했던 아침 식사였어요.
Overall, I found the Great Wolf Lodge breakfast to be a solid American resort breakfast that was easy to enjoy with children. The selection was varied, and the relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable.
It was the perfect way to start the day before heading back to the water park for more fun.
