이번 포스팅에서는 Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs에서 아이들이 특히 좋아했던 실내 워터파크와 다양한 부대시설들을 간단하게 소개해보려고 합니다 :)
In this post, I’d like to share a quick review of the indoor water park and some of the family-friendly activities at Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs, which were definitely the highlights of our stay for the kids.

덴버 여행 중 하루는 Colorado Springs에 위치한 Great Wolf Lodge에서 숙박했어요. 실내 워터파크로 유명한 미국 가족 리조트라 아이 동반 여행객들에게 특히 인기가 많은 곳인데요. 저희는 가장 기본 객

리조트에 도착하자마자 가장 먼저 눈에 들어온 건 넓은 부지와 여유로운 분위기였어요. 층수가 높지 않고 건물이 널찍하게 배치되어 있어 전형적인 미국 리조트다운 느낌이 인상적이었습니다.
The first thing that stood out when we arrived was the spacious property and relaxed atmosphere. The buildings weren’t very tall, and the resort was spread out across a large area—a style of resort that is not very common in Korea.
로비에 들어서면 큰 창 너머로 로키산맥 풍경이 펼쳐지는데요. 콜로라도 특유의 시원한 자연 경관이 한눈에 들어와서 체크인 전부터 여행 온 기분을 제대로 느낄 수 있었어요.
As soon as you step into the lobby, you’re greeted by beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains through the large windows. The scenery immediately made us feel like we were truly on vacation, even before checking in.
또 로비 한쪽에는 아이들을 위한 인형극 무대가 마련되어 있었어요. 아침 8시부터, 가족 단위 투숙객들이 모여 공연을 관람하는 모습도 볼 수 있었습니다.
There was also a puppet theater area for children in one corner of the lobby. Starting around 8 a.m., families gathered to watch the performances, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for younger guests.
Great Wolf Lodge는 워터파크 외에도 다양한 액티비티 시설을 운영하고 있었어요.
이것저것 체험해보면 좋겠다고 생각했지만, 아이가 워터파크에 완전히 빠져버리는 바람에 결국 대부분의 시간을 물놀이로만 보냈어요. 그래서 다른 시설들을 제대로 이용해보지 못한 건 살짝 아쉬움이 남았습니다.
Great Wolf Lodge offers much more than just its indoor water park. There are plenty of activities available throughout the resort for families and children.
I had hoped to try more of them, but my son completely fell in love with the water park and ended up spending most of his time there. As a result, we didn’t get a chance to experience many of the other attractions, which was a little disappointing.
✅ Wiley’s Waterpark 실내 워터파크 후기
워터파크 입장 시에는 직원이 아이들의 키를 한 번 확인 후 팔찌를 아이들에게 채워주셨어요. 아마 슬라이드별 이용 가능 여부를 확인하기 위한 절차인 것 같았는데, 안내 표지판을 보니 일부 어트랙션은 약 130cm 정도의 키 제한이 있는 것 같더라고요.
Before entering the water park, a staff member measured my child’s height and put a wristband on him. I assume this was to indicate which slides and attractions he was allowed to use. Based on the posted signs, some attractions appeared to have a height requirement of around 50 inches.
워터파크 내부는 전체적으로 따뜻하게 유지되고 있어서 물놀이하기 괜찮은 환경이었어요. 콜로라도는 일교차가 큰 편인데, 실내 시설이다 보니 날씨 영향을 받지 않는 점도 좋았습니다.
The water park itself was kept comfortably warm, making it a pleasant environment for swimming and playing. Since Colorado is known for its large temperature swings throughout the day, it was nice that the indoor setting was completely unaffected by the weather.
팔찌를 직원에게 보여주면 수건도 1인당 1개씩 받을 수 있고, 스낵바가 있어 배고프거나 출출할 때 간식을 사먹기도 좋았어요. 화장실 쪽에는 샤워실과 탈의실도 있어서 숙박을 하지 않아도 이용할 수 있는 곳이었어요.
Guests could also receive one towel per person by showing their wristbands to the staff. There was a snack bar inside as well, making it easy to grab a quick bite when we got hungry. Near the restrooms, there were showers and changing rooms, which seemed convenient even for day visitors who were not staying at the resort.
규모가 아주 큰 워터파크는 아니라 유수풀은 없었지만, 파도풀은 마련되어 있었어요. 수심이 깊지 않고 파도도 강하지 않은 편이라 구명조끼가 필수가 아니었고 어린 아이들이 놀기에도 부담이 없는 곳이더라고요.
The water park isn’t enormous, so there is no lazy river. However, there is a wave pool. The water is relatively shallow and the waves are fairly gentle, so life jackets weren’t necessary for everyone. It felt like a comfortable place for younger children to enjoy the water safely.
튜브 슬라이드는 생각보다 속도가 빨라서 은근 스릴도 있었고, 가족끼리 함께 탈 수 있는 슬라이드도 있어서 같이 즐기기 좋았어요.
The tube slides were more thrilling than I expected, and there were also family raft slides that multiple people could ride together, making them fun for both kids and adults.
어린 아이들을 위한 키즈존은 물론 영유아도 안전하게 물놀이를 즐길 수 있는 얕은 놀이 공간, 물속에서 농구를 할 수 있는 액티비티 공간까지 다양하게 구성되어 있었는데요. 특히 버킷에서 물이 쏟아지는 키즈 플레이 공간은 아이들이 정말 좋아하더라고요.
In addition to the slides, there was a dedicated kids’ area, a shallow play space for toddlers and younger children, and even a water basketball area. The large interactive play structure with a giant tipping bucket was especially popular with the kids.
✅ Great Wolf Adventure Park
Great Wolf Lodge의 대표 액티비티 중 하나는 바로 MagicQuest였어요.
마법 지팡이를 구입한 뒤 리조트 곳곳을 돌아다니며 다양한 미션을 수행하는 체험형 게임인데요. 지팡이를 특정 장치에 향하면 불빛이 켜지거나 반응이 나타나는 방식이라 마치 마법사가 된 듯한 기분을 느낄 수 있는 액티비티였어요.
One of Great Wolf Lodge’s signature attractions is MagicQuest.
Guests can purchase a magic wand and complete various quests throughout the resort. When the wand is pointed at certain interactive objects, lights and special effects are triggered, making kids feel like they are casting real spells.
개인적으로는 유니버설 스튜디오 해리포터 존의 마법 지팡이 체험이 떠오르기도 했어요. 규모는 훨씬 아담하지만 아이들이 간단히 즐기기 좋아보였어요.
It actually reminded me of the wand experiences in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. The scale is much smaller, of course, but it still looked like a fun activity for children.
워터파크 입구 앞에는 실내 미니 골프장도 운영하고 있었는데요.
어릴 때 미국에서 가족들과 미니 골프를 정말 재미있게 했던 기억이 있어서 아이와 함께 꼭 해보고 싶었는데, 워터파크에서 너무 오래 노는 바람에 결국 이용하지 못했습니다. 다음에 방문하게 된다면 가장 먼저 체험해보고 싶은 시설 중 하나예요.
Near the entrance to the water park, there was also an indoor mini golf course.
I have fond memories of playing mini golf with my family in the United States when I was younger, so I really wanted to try it with my son. Unfortunately, we spent so much time at the water park that we never got around to it. It’s definitely one of the attractions I’d like to experience on a future visit.
리조트 안에는 다양한 게임기들이 모여 있는 아케이드 공간도 마련되어 있었어요.
아이들이 좋아할 만한 게임들이 많았고, 실제로 저녁 시간에는 많은 가족들이 이곳에서 시간을 보내고 있었습니다. 워터파크를 이용하지 않는 시간에도 즐길 거리가 많다는 점이 Great Wolf Lodge의 장점인 것 같아요.
The resort also features an arcade filled with a variety of games.
There were plenty of options that kids would enjoy, and in the evenings, the arcade was full of families having fun together. It’s one of the reasons why Great Wolf Lodge remains entertaining even when you’re not spending time in the water park.
곰인형을 직접 만드는 Build a Bear 체험 공간도 있었어요. 원하는 인형을 고르고 솜을 채운 뒤 옷과 액세서리를 선택해 나만의 곰인형을 완성할 수 있는 프로그램이었습니다. 아이들에게는 여행의 추억을 남길 수 있는 특별한 체험이 될 것 같았어요.
Another unique attraction was the Build-A-Bear workshop. Guests can choose a stuffed animal, fill it with stuffing, and customize it with clothing and accessories to create a personalized souvenir. It seemed like a great way for kids to take home a special memory from their trip.
이외에도 클라이밍, 볼링장, 로프 코스 등 다양한 액티비티가 마련되어 있었는데요. 워터파크 외에도 즐길 거리가 정말 많아서 아이들의 취향에 따라 하루 종일 리조트 안에서만 시간을 보내도 충분해 보였습니다.
In addition, the resort offers a climbing wall, bowling alley, rope course, and several other activities. With so many entertainment options available, it would be easy to spend an entire day inside the resort even without visiting the water park.
워터파크만 보고 방문했는데 생각보다 즐길 거리가 훨씬 많았던 Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs.
이번에는 대부분의 시간을 워터파크에서 보냈지만, 다음에 방문하게 된다면 다른 액티비티도 여유롭게 즐겨보고 싶네요.

I originally came to Great Wolf Lodge mainly for the water park, but I was surprised by how many other activities were available throughout the resort. This time, we spent most of our stay enjoying the water park, but if we return in the future, I’d love to explore some of the other attractions at a more relaxed pace. In my next post, I’ll be sharing a review of the Great Wolf Lodge breakfast buffet, which was a great way to start the day.
