미국 덴버 여행 | 포트 콜린스 CSU 베이커리 카페 Little Bird Bakeshop 후기

덴버 여행 중 하루는 근교 도시인 포트 콜린스(Fort Collins)에 다녀왔어요. 포트 콜린스는 콜로라도 주립대학교(Colorado State University, CSU)가 자리하고 있는 곳으로, 도보로도 여행할 수 있는 소도시라, 걸어다니면서 올드타운의 아기자기한 분위기를 느낄 수 있었어요.
While I was in Denver, I visited Fort Collins for a day. Home to Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins is a walkable college town where you can easily stroll around and enjoy the quaint atmosphere of its historic Old Town district.

이번 포스팅에서는 포트 콜린스에서 들른 인기 베이커리 카페, Little Bird Bakeshop 후기를 소개해 보려고 합니다 :)

In this post, I'd like to share my experience visiting one of Fort Collins' popular bakery cafés, Little Bird Bakeshop.

Little Bird Bakeshop은 콜로라도 주립대학교(CSU)에서 북쪽으로 조금 걸어가면 찾을 수 있어요. 일반적인 상업 건물보다는 가정집을 개조한 듯한 외관이 인상적이었는데요. 덕분에 더욱 아늑하고 편안한 분위기가 느껴졌어요.
마당에는 야외 테이블도 마련되어 있어, 포트 콜린스의 맑은 날씨를 즐기며 커피 한 잔의 여유를 누리기에도 좋아 보였어요.

Little Bird Bakeshop is located just a short walk north of Colorado State University. What immediately caught my attention was its cozy exterior, which felt more like a converted house than a typical commercial storefront.
Outside, there were several patio tables where guests could relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in Fort Collins' beautiful weather.

실내

실내는 전체적으로 밝고 편안한 분위기였어요. 특히 창가 쪽 좌석은 자연채광이 가득 들어와 더욱 아늑하게 느껴졌는데요. 따뜻한 햇살을 받으며 커피와 베이커리를 즐기기에 딱 좋은 자리였습니다. 대학가 근처 카페라 그런지, 공부를 하거나 노트북 작업을 하는 학생들의 모습도 쉽게 볼 수 있었어요.
Inside, the café felt bright, comfortable, and inviting. The window-side seating area was especially cozy thanks to the abundance of natural light streaming in. It was the perfect spot to enjoy coffee and pastries while soaking up the sunshine. 

카페 한쪽에는 Little Bird Bakeshop 로고가 들어간 굿즈들도 판매하고 있었어요. 티셔츠와 스냅백, 비니 모자부터 키링까지 다양한 상품이 준비되어 있었는데요. 카페 특유의 감성이 담긴 디자인이라 구경하는 재미가 있었습니다. 포트 콜린스를 방문한 기념으로 가볍게 구매하기에도 좋아 보였어요.
One corner of the café featured a variety of Little Bird Bakeshop merchandise. From T-shirts, snapback caps, and beanies to keychains, there was a fun selection of items showcasing the café's unique branding and style. They looked like great souvenirs for anyone visiting Fort Collins.

쿠키부터 머그컵까지, 카페 감성이 가득한 공간

굿즈 외에도 매장에서 직접 사용하는 바닐라 익스트랙트(Vanilla Extract)와 소금, 직접 구운 쿠키 등을 판매하고 있었어요. 또한 초콜릿, 머그컵, 엽서처럼 아기자기한 감성이 담긴 상품들도 함께 진열되어 작은 소품 하나까지도 카페의 감성이 그대로 느껴지는 공간이었습니다.
The café also sold its own vanilla extract, specialty salt, and freshly baked cookies. There were also charming items such as chocolate bars, mugs, and postcards on display. Even the smallest details reflected the café's personality and aesthetic, making the space enjoyable to browse.

메뉴판 (일부)

메뉴는 손글씨로 칠판에 정성스럽게 적혀 있어, 따뜻한 감성이 묻어나는 디테일이이었어요. 시럽도 매장에서 직접 만들어 사용한다고 써 있더라고요. 작은 부분에서도 카페의 정성이 느껴졌습니다.
The menu was handwritten on large chalkboards, adding another warm and personal touch to the café. I also noticed a note mentioning that their syrups are made in-house, which made me appreciate the care and attention that goes into their drinks.

라떼와 브라우니

저는 달달한 바닐라 라떼와 브라우니를 주문해 카페 분위기와 함께 즐겨보았어요.
For my order, I chose a vanilla latte and a brownie.

브라우니는 꾸덕하고 달콤했다.

바닐라 라떼는 부드러운 우유에 은은한 바닐라 향이 더해져 과하지 않은 달콤함이 인상적이었고, 브라우니는 진한 초콜릿 맛과 꾸덕한 식감이 잘 살아 있어 한 입 먹는 순간 만족감이 느껴졌습니다. 커피와 디저트의 조합이 잘 어우러져 여유로운 시간을 보내기에 충분했어요.
The vanilla latte had a smooth, creamy texture with a subtle vanilla flavor that added just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. The brownie was rich and fudgy with an intense chocolate flavor that paired perfectly with the coffee. Together, they made for a wonderfully relaxing café break.

Apple cider - 애사비라고 생각하면 안됩니다..ㅎㅎ

짝꿍은 애플 사이다(Apple Cider)를 주문했는데, 사과의 은은한 단맛과 계피 향이 어우러진 따뜻한 사과차 같은 느낌의 음료라 쌀쌀한 날씨에 잘 어울렸어요. (이날은 하늘은 맑았지만 바람이 제법 차가웠거든요.)
My husband ordered the Apple Cider, which reminded me of a warm spiced apple drink with notes of cinnamon and a gentle sweetness. It was especially comforting on the chilly day we visited. Although the sky was clear and sunny, the wind was surprisingly cold.

퇴식

주문은 카운터에서 직접 하고, 음료가 준비되면 직접 받아가는 셀프 시스템으로 운영되고 있었어요. 음료를 마신 후에는 셀프로 퇴식구에 가져다 두는 방식이라 이용이 편리했습니다. 별도의 테이블 서비스가 없는 구조라 팁 부담 없이 즐길 수 있다는 점도 좋았어요.
The café operates on a self-service system. Customers place their orders at the counter and pick up their drinks when they're ready. After finishing, you simply return your dishes to the designated station yourself. Since there is no table service, it was nice not having to worry about tipping.

Little Bird Bakeshop은 포트 콜린스의 여유로운 분위기와 잘 어우러진 아늑한 베이커리 카페로, 잠시 들러 커피 한 잔의 여유를 즐기기에 딱 좋은 공간이었어요. 짧지만 힐링되는 시간을 보낼 수 있어 기억에 많이 남는 곳입니다 :)
Little Bird Bakeshop was a cozy bakery café that perfectly matched the relaxed atmosphere of Fort Collins. It was the ideal place to take a break and enjoy a quiet cup of coffee while exploring the city. Although my visit was short, it was a refreshing and memorable experience that remains one of my favorite stops in Fort Collins.
