맥도날드 McDonald's [창녕 갈릭 치킨 버거/Changnyeong Garlic Chicken Burger]

 

날이 덥고 무기력해서, 점심으로 맥딜리버리를 시켜먹었어요. 진도 대파 크림 버거가 먹고 싶었는데 프로모션이 벌써 종료되고, 창녕 갈릭 버거 배너가 나오고 있더라고요. 아쉬웠지만 마늘 버거도 먹어보지 않았기 때문에 창녕 갈릭 치킨 버거 세트를 주문했습니다 :)
Yesterday, I ordered McDelivery for lunch. I wanted to have the Jindo Green Onion Cream Burger, but the promotion has already ended and now the Changnyeong Garlic Burger banner is showing. Despite my disappointment, I decided to give the Changnyeong Garlic Chicken Burger set a shot since I hadn't tried the garlic burger before.

창녕은 우리나라 마늘의 주산지 중 하나로, 타 지역의 마늘에 비해 칼슘과 철분, 비타민의 함량이 높은 것이 특징이라고 하더라고요. 창녕 갈릭 버거는 소고기 패티와 치킨 패티 2종류로 판매되고 있어요.
Changnyeong is one of the main garlic-producing regions in South Korea, known for its high content of calcium, iron, and vitamins compared to garlic from other areas. Changnyeong Garlic Burger is available with two types of patties: beef patty and chicken patty.

포장 상태

맥딜리버리 가격은 매장 가격과 다르게 책정되는데요, 홍제역점에서 주문할 경우에는 창녕 갈릭 치킨 버거 단품이 8,900원, 세트가 10,900원입니다. 15,000원 이상 주문시 배송비가 무료이고, 15,000원 미만으로 주문할 경우 3,000원 부과되더라고요.
McDelivery prices are not the same as the prices in the store. In our area, the Changnyeong Garlic Chicken Burger costs 8,900 won on its own and 10,900 won for a set. If you order more than 15,000 won worth of food, the delivery is free. But if your order is less than 15,000 won, there's an extra charge of 3,000 won for delivery.

스퀴시멜로우 해피밀 토이 (말랑말랑한 인형일 줄 알았는데 생각보다 딱딱합니다....)

맥도날드는 쿠팡이츠, 배민 등으로도 주문이 가능하지만, 맥딜리버리앱을 이용하는 이유는 해피밀 토이를 직접 선택할 수 있어서에요. 아드님은 늘 해피밀을 먹기 때문에...ㅎㅎㅎ 지금 증정되는 해피밀 토이는 아직 스퀴시멜로우 인형이에요. 다음주쯤 바뀌지 않을까 예상해봅니다.
McDonald's is available for delivery through platforms like Coupang Eats and Baemin. However, I prefer using the McDelivery app because it allows me to personally select the Happy Meal toy. Currently, they are offering Squishmallow toys as part of the Happy Meal. I think the toys will be updated next week or so.

창녕 갈릭 치킨 버거는 모양이 흐트러지지 않도록 띠가 둘러져 있어요. 프로모션 사진과 비교해보니, 띠가 거꾸로 된 게 아니라 햄버거 번을 거꾸로 놓고 만들어주셨네요.
The Changnyeong Garlic Chicken Burger has a paper band around it to keep its shape intact. Upon comparing it with the promotional photos, I noticed that they've made the burger with the bun placed upside down.

조심스레 띠를 제거한 후, 나이프로 잘라보았어요.
I carefully took off the paper band and then proceeded to cut it in half.

닭다리살 패티에, 마늘 소스, 토마토, 양상추, 양파가 올라가 있고, 아이올리 소스도 듬뿍 들어있어요.
The chicken patty is topped with garlic sauce, tomato, lettuce, and onion. It's generously filled with aioli sauce as well.

버거 자체는 한국인 입맛에 맞게, 느끼하지 않고 맛있었어요. 소스가 제 스타일이에요 :) 첫 출시 당시에는 조기품절 사태도 일어났었다는데, 저는 왜 몰랐을까요... 맥도날드 종종 먹었는데 미디어에 너무 관심이 없었나봐요. 비프 버거에는 소고기 패티가 2개나 들어있던데, 맛이 어떻게 다를지 궁금합니다.

이렇게 지역 경제 활성화에 도움이 되는 제품을 출시하는 맥도날드의 마케팅 전략은 꽤나 성공적인 것 같아요. 개인적으로 진도 대파 크림 버거도 언젠가 다시 판매해줬으면 하는 바램이 있네요 :)

The burger itself was delicious, not too heavy. I really liked the garlic sauce. I'm not sure why I didn't know about it, even though there was an early shortage issue when it was first introduced. Maybe I wasn't really paying attention to the media while I occasionally ate at McDonald's. 
McDonald's approach of introducing products that support local farms appears to be quite effective. Personally, I hope they bring back the Jindo Green Onion Cream Burger someday too.
