오키나와에서의 두 번째 날! 편의점 김밥으로 간단하게 아침을 해결하고, 점심 먹으러 아메리칸 빌리지안에 위치한 STEAK HOUSE 88에 갔어요.
On the second day in Okinawa, we had a simple breakfast with convenience store kimbap, and then we went to STEAK HOUSE 88 located in American Village for lunch.

날씨가 정말 좋아서 사진이 더 예쁘게 나왔어요. 식당까지 슬슬 걸어가는데 전투기 훈련하는 모습도 보고, 오키나와 왔다는 게 실감이 나더라고요.
The weather was really nice. As we walked to the restaurant, we also saw fighter jets in training, which made us feel like we were really in Okinawa.
저희는 거의 오픈 시간에 맞춰서 들어갔어요. 워낙 유명한 곳이라 손님이 금세 많아지더라고요.
We arrived almost at opening time. Since it's such a famous place, the seats started to fill up quickly.
일본은 우리나라와 달리 자리가 비어있다고 먼저 앉혀주지 않고, 빈자리가 있어도 직원들이 서빙할 준비가 돼야 자리 안내를 해주시더라고요. 식당마다 조금씩 다르긴 하지만, 두 번째 일본 여행에서는 이 문화가 조금 익숙해졌습니다ㅎㅎ
In Japan, they typically don't seat you at a table with empty seats right away; instead, they wait until the staff is ready to take your order before guiding you to a table, even if there are unoccupied seats. This practice can vary from restaurant to restaurant, but during our second trip to Japan, I became more accustomed to this cultural tradition.
인테리어는 미국 느낌이 살짝 나요.
The interior had a touch of an American ambiance.
테이블 위에는 스테이크 소스와 각종 양념들이 있었어요.
On the table, there were various steak sauces and condiments.
신기하게도 오키나와에도 주문 태블릿이 있었습니다 :) 언어설정을 한국어로 할 수 있지만, 메뉴가 세세하게 번역이 되어있진 않아서, 파파고의 도움이 조금 필요하긴 했어요.
Okinawa also had order tablets available. You could set the language to Korean, but the menu translations were not very detailed, so I needed a bit of help from the translation app.

When ordering a steak menu, rice, soup, and salad are complimentary. You can freely enjoy them at the salad bar.
샐러드바에는 드레싱이 3종류 정도 준비되어 있었어요.
The salad bar had around three different types of dressings available.
야채도 골고루 먹어야 하니, 샐러드 한 접시 담아서 먹어봤어요. 일본식 드레싱을 올려먹었더니 상큼하고 맛있더라고요.
Since I need to eat vegetables, I filled a plate with salad. I tried it with the Japanese-style dressing, and it was fresh and delicious.
음료 코너는 스테이크 주문 시, 380엔 추가하면 이용할 수 있어요. 저희는 추가해서 먹었습니다...ㅎㅎㅎ
You can use the beverage corner for an additional 380 yen when ordering steak. Of course, we added it to our order.
음료 코너 옆에 컵, 빨대 그리고 물티슈가 있었고요.
Next to the beverage corner, there were cups, straws, and wet wipes available.
스프와 샐러드를 먹다 보니 스테이크가 서빙되었어요. 메뉴판에는 스테이크별로 굽기가 추천이 되어있었는데요, 안심은 추천된 굽기가 미디움레어였는데, 아이와 먹는다는 생각에 미디움으로 주문했더니 생각보다 질기더라고요. 뜨거운 팬에 올려져서 그런지, 미디움보다 더 익혀져 나온 느낌이었어요.
As we were enjoying the soup and salad, the steak was served. The menu had recommended cooking levels for each type of steak, and the tenderloin was suggested as medium-rare. However, I ordered it as medium, thinking about my child, but it turned out to be tougher than expected. It felt like it was cooked more than medium, possibly because it was seared on a hot pan.
프라임 뉴욕 스테이크는 추천 굽기가 미디움이라, 그대로 미디움으로 주문했더니 괜찮더라고요. 메뉴판에 추천된 굽기로 주문하는 게 맞나 봅니다ㅎㅎㅎ 개인적으로는 프라임 뉴욕 스테이크가 더 부드럽고 맛있었어요 :)
I ordered the Prime New York Strip Steak cooked at medium, as recommended, and it turned out to be fine. I guess I should have ordered according to the recommended cooking level on the menu. Personally, I found the Prime New York Steak to be more tender and delicious.
380엔 추가할 경우, 블루실 아이스크림 코너도 이용할 수 있는데요, 아이가 가장 기대했던 코너라 주문을 안 할 수가 없었어요.
For an additional 380 yen, you could also enjoy the Blue Seal ice cream corner. My child was looking forward to this the most, so I couldn't resist ordering.
사실 맛은 배스킨라빈스와 크게 다르지 않은 느낌인데, 기분이죠ㅎㅎㅎ
저희는 아메리칸 빌리지에서 기념으로 블루실 티셔츠도 구입했답니다. 기념 티셔츠인데 재질이 굉장히 좋더라고요.
To be honest, the taste didn't feel significantly different from Baskin Robbins, but it's all about the experience :) We also bought Blue Seal T-shirts as a souvenir in American Village.
이렇게 배부르게 먹고, 만좌모로 이동했어요 :)
