오키나와에서의 첫날! 렌터카 픽업 후 호텔로 이동하는 길에, 우미카지 테라스에 들러서 저녁을 먹었어요.
After picking up the rental car, we stopped at Umikaji Terrace to have dinner.
우미카지 테라스는 세나가 섬의 작은 관광지로, 아름다운 해변뷰를 바라보며 식사 및 디저트, 쇼핑을 즐길 수 있는 곳이에요. 나하 공항 활주로 앞이라, 비행기가 끊임없이 착륙하는 모습도 볼 수 있습니다 :)
Umikaji Terrace is a sightseeing shopping spot located on Senagajima Island. You can enjoy meals, desserts, and shopping while overlooking beautiful beach views. It's located right in front of Naha Airport's runway, so you can also see planes landing continuously.
노을 질 시간이라, 저녁 먹으며 석양을 감상하기로 했어요. 가게가 꽤 많아서 안내판의 지도를 확인해 보며 식당을 찾아갈 수 있었어요.
We decided to enjoy our dinner while watching the sunset. There were quite a few restaurants, so we checked the map on the signpost to find our way.
오키나와에서의 첫 식사는 타코 라이스였어요. 오키나와는 미국의 영향을 많이 받은 곳이라, 전통 일본 음식보다 양식을 자주 먹게 되더라고요.
Our first meal in Okinawa was taco rice. Okinawa has been heavily influenced by the United States, so we ended up eating Western-style food more than traditional Japanese cuisine.

카운터에서 주문 및 결제 후, 자리를 잡았어요. 실내 식사공간도 있지만, 해안가 풍경을 보며 먹고 싶어서 테라스 자리에 앉았습니다 :)
직원분이 물과 음료부터 먼저 준비해 주셨어요.
After ordering and paying at the counter, we took our seats. Although there was indoor dining space, we chose to sit on the terrace to enjoy the coastal scenery. The staff brought us water and drinks first.
저희는 첫 방문이다 보니, 메뉴판에서 1번과 2번 메뉴를 택했어요. 5가지 맛 중에서 고를 수 있는데, 짝꿍은 Mild Meat이 들어간 오무타코를 주문했습니다. 타코라이스 위에 올려진 계란이 정말 부드럽고 맛있더라고요. 아이가 먹기에도 좋은 메뉴였어요.
Since it was our first visit, we decided to go with the 1st and 2nd menu items from the menu. There were 5 different flavors to choose from, and my husband ordered the Omutaco with Mild Meat. The eggs on top of the taco rice was exceptionally smooth and delicious. Our child also enjoyed it.
저는 Meat & Beans가 들어간 타코라이스를 주문했어요.

자극적인 느낌이 아니라, 부드럽고 맛있더라고요. 한 그릇 순삭이었습니다.
It was smooth and delicious. I enjoyed it as it wasn't very spicy.
눈앞에는 이렇게 아름다운 석양이 펼쳐졌어요. 비행기가 착륙하는 장면을 카메라에 담고 싶어서 밥 먹다가, 촬영하다가... 열심히 찍다보니 사진을 건졌네요ㅎㅎㅎ
The sunset was truly beautiful. I was so engrossed in capturing the planes landing that I ended up juggling between eating and taking photos.
비행기가 이착륙을 반복하는 공항이 가까워서, 소음은 조금 들리는 편이에요. 하지만 풍경이 워낙 예뻐서 크게 거슬리진 않았답니다. 평일에는 미군이 훈련하다 보니 비행기는 정말 원 없이 보고 들었어요.
As planes continuously landed and took off, there was some noise. However, the stunning scenery made it bearable. On weekdays, the U.S. military conducts training, so we frequently saw and heard planes at Okinawa.
해가 지는 모습을 본 후, 호텔로 이동해서 체크인을 했어요. 이렇게 오키나와에서의 첫날이 지나갔습니다 :)
After the sunset, we had some icecream and moved to the hotel. That's how our first day in Okinawa came to an end.
