조용하고 편안한 분위기 덕분에 모임을 즐기기 좋았고, 접근성도 괜찮아요. 분위기와 서비스까지 만족스러워 친구 모임이나 소규모 저녁 모임에 추천할 만한 식당입니다.
For an evening gathering with friends, I visited El Cubito, a Spanish restaurant in Gwanghwamun.

엘꾸비또는 광화문 흥국생명빌딩 지하 2층에 위치해 있어 찾기 쉬워요. 이 건물에는 예술영화 전문관인 씨네큐브(Cinecube)가 지하 2층에 있어, 영화 관람 후 식사를 즐기기에도 좋습니다.
광화문역 6번 출구에서 도보로 약 10분 거리에 있으며, 건물 외관에 있는 ‘해머링 맨’ 조형물이 인상적이라 쉽게 찾을 수 있어요.
El Cubito is located on the B2 floor of the Heungkuk Life Building in Gwanghwamun, making it easy to find.
On the B2 floor of the same building, you’ll find Cinecube, an art-house cinema, which makes it convenient to enjoy a meal after watching a movie. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Exit 6 of Gwanghwamun Station, and the building is easily recognizable thanks to the striking “Hammering Man” sculpture outside.
레스토랑 입구는 깔끔하고 세련된 느낌으로 꾸며져 있어요.
The entrance of El Cubito is neat and stylish, giving off a sophisticated vibe even before stepping inside.
매장 내부는 와인장이 걸려 있는 고급스러운 인테리어와 아늑한 조명 덕분에 편안한 분위기를 자아냅니다. 저희는 미리 예약했더니 파티션이 있는 안쪽 테이블로 안내받아, 보다 조용하고 프라이빗하게 식사를 즐길 수 있었어요.
Inside, the elegant wine racks and warm lighting create a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Since we made a reservation in advance, we were guided to a table with partitions, which allowed us to enjoy a quieter and more private dining experience.
테이블은 깔끔하게 세팅되어 있었고, 와인잔도 함께 준비되어 있어 식사와 와인을 함께 즐기기 좋은 분위기였어요.
The table was neatly set, with wine glasses already prepared, creating a perfect atmosphere to pair the meal with wine.
하몽 샐러드는 신선한 채소 위에 얇게 썬 하몽이 올려져 있어 짭조름하면서 풍미가 살아있어요. 상큼하고 가벼워, 식사 전에 입맛을 돋우기에 좋은 메뉴였어요.
The Jamón salad was served with fresh greens topped with thinly sliced jamón, offering a savory and flavorful bite. Light and refreshing, it was a perfect starter to whet the appetite before the main dishes.
오징어 튀김은 스페인식 파프리카 시즈닝이 입혀져 겉은 바삭하고 속은 촉촉하니 맛있었어요. 함께 제공되는 소스와 곁들여 먹으니 더욱 풍미있게 즐길 수 있었어요.
The Fried Squid was seasoned with Spanish paprika, giving it a crispy exterior and tender inside. Paired with the dipping sauce, it offered an even richer and more flavorful taste.
문어 다리 구이는 문어 다리를 통째로 구워 겉은 살짝 바삭하고 속은 부드럽고 쫄깃했어요. 양념이 잘 배어 있어 씹을수록 풍미가 살아나고, 담백하면서도 맛있게 즐길 수 있는 메뉴였어요.
The Grilled Polpo was cooked whole, with a slightly crispy exterior and a tender, chewy inside. The seasoning was well absorbed, enhancing the flavor with every bite, making it a light yet delicious dish to enjoy.
해산물 빠에야는 홍합, 오징어, 새우 등 각종 해산물이 풍성하게 들어가 있어 비주얼과 풍미는 만족스러웠어요.
다만 간이 조금 심심해 아쉬움이 남는 메뉴였어요.
The Seafood Paella came generously topped with mussels, squid, and shrimp, offering both a rich visual appeal and flavor. However, the seasoning was a bit on the mild side, which left us wishing for a stronger taste.
엘꾸비또는 광화문에서 친구들과 저녁 모임을 즐기기 좋은 스페인 레스토랑이에요. 분위기와 서비스는 만족스러웠고, 다양한 스페인 요리를 경험할 수 있었어요.
다만 전반적으로 메뉴 양이 많지 않아 여러 가지를 나눠 먹는 것이 좋고, 일부 메뉴는 간이 조금 심심하게 느껴졌습니다.
그래도 가볍게 모임을 즐기기에는 추천할 만한 곳이에요.
El Cubito is a great Spanish restaurant in Gwanghwamun for enjoying a dinner gathering with friends. The ambiance and service were satisfying, and we were able to experience a variety of Spanish dishes.
However, the portions were not very large, so it’s better to share several dishes, and some menu items felt a bit lightly seasoned. Still, it’s a nice spot to enjoy a casual gathering...!
