프리즈 서울 갔던 날, 샤이바나 코엑스점에 저녁 먹으러 갔어요.
On the day I went to FRIEZE SEOUL, I went to have dinner at Shy Bana COEX branch.

샤이바나는 미국 남부 가정식 전문점이에요. 미국 브랜드인 줄 알았는데, (주)태그린이라는 기업에서 만든 한국 브랜드네요? 느끼하고 치지(cheesy)한 음식이 땡길 때 한 번씩 생각나는 곳이에요.
Shy Bana is a Southern American home-style restaurant. I thought it was a brand from the United States, but it's actually a Korean brand created by a company called 태그린. It's a place that comes to mind when I crave rich and cheesy food.
칼로리가 높은 메뉴들이 많다보니, 이런 문구를 캐치프레이즈로 택한 것 같아요.
It seems like they chose this catchphrase due to the high-calorie menu items.
양식이다보니, 테이블에는 숟가락과 포크 그리고 앞접시가 준비되어있습니다 :)
Since it's Western cuisine, there are spoons, forks, and plates prepared on the table.
매장 입구 옆에는, 워터바가 마련되어있어요. 일반 정수물, 오렌지 레몬물 그리고 오렌지 바질 로즈메리물 총 3종류가 있어서 기호에 따라 골라 마시면 됩니다. 저는 오렌지 바질 로즈메리물을 마셔봤는데 아주 상큼하고 좋았어요.
Next to the entrance, there is a water bar available. There are three types of water to choose from: regular filtered water, orange lemon water, and orange basil rosemary water, so you can pick according to your preference. I tried the orange basil rosemary water, and it was very refreshing.
친구랑 둘이 나눠마실 맥주도 한 잔 주문했어요. 둘 다 술을 잘 마시는 편이 아닌데.... 맥주는 먹고 싶어서... 빈 잔을 받아서 나눠 마셨어요. 알코올에 약한 엄마들에겐 250ml가 적당하네요😅
I ordered a single beer to share with my friend. Both of us aren't heavy drinkers, but we wanted to have some beer, so we received an empty glass and shared it. 250ml seemed like a suitable amount for me.
가장 먼저 나온 오리지널 맥앤치즈! 맥앤치즈 정말 좋아해서 집에서도 종종 만들어먹는데, 남이 만들어준 건 더 맛있죠...
The original mac and cheese was served first. I really love mac and cheese, so I often make it at home. But when someone else makes it for me, it tastes even better :)
버터 밀크 비스킷도 하나씩 주문했어요. 버터와 딸기잼 스프레드도 함께 제공됩니다.
We also ordered one buttermilk biscuit each, and they come with butter and strawberry jam spread as well.
비스켓도 고소하고 부드러웠어요. 비스켓 자체에도 버터가 많이 들어있는데, 그 위에 또 버터를 듬뿍- 발라 먹었어요. 진짜 다이어트는 내일부터 시작해야겠습니다....
The biscuits were both savory and soft. There was probably a lot of butter in the biscuits themselves, but I generously spread even more butter on top. I guess I'll have to start my diet for real tomorrow...
트.머.치. 스파게티는 트러플 머쉬룸 치즈 스파게티의 약자에요. 트러플 향이 솔솔 나는 크림 스파게티였어요. 버섯을 소스에도 갈아넣고, 양송이가 큼직하게 썰어져있어서 풍미가 좋은 요리에요.
"T.M.C. Spaghetti" is an abbreviation for "truffle mushroom cheese spaghetti." It was a creamy spaghetti with a truffle aroma. The sauce also contained finely ground mushrooms, and the dish was enhanced by large slices of button mushrooms, making it a flavorful meal.
천조국 컨셉의 메뉴답게 양이 아주 넉넉합니다. 친구랑 얘기하며 먹다보니 면이 점점 불어서 결국 조금 남기고 왔어요...😂
As the restaurant follows the Southern American concept, the serving size was indeed quite generous. While chatting with my friend, we found ourselves getting full as the noodles kept expanding, so we ended up leaving a little behind.
예전에 방문했을 때 선불 계산이었는데, 오랜만에 왔더니 후불로 바뀌었네요. (과거 포스팅을 보니 너무 오랜만에 왔...;)
즐거웠던 토요일 자유부인 놀이는 이렇게 마무리 되었습니다 :)
When I visited a few years ago, it used to be a prepayment system, but now, it has changed to post-payment. (Looking at the old posts, it's been a really long time since I last came... ;) So, my enjoyable Saturday night ended like this. What a day...(Though it did not end after I got home...)
