점심 약속이 있어, 광화문 [도토리 브라더스]라는 식당에 다녀왔어요.
On a rainy day, I went to a restaurant called [Dotori Brothers] to have lunch.
도토리 브라더스는 성곡미술관 바로 앞에 위치해있어요. 버스정류장에서 내린 후 걸어가는데 조용하고 호젓한 분위기라, 사대문 안에 살고 싶다는 생각이 들더라고요. (열심히 살자....🥹)
Dotori Brothers is located near Sunggok Art Museum. The neighborhood has a quiet and serene atmosphere, and walking around this area made me want to live inside the historic gates of old Seoul.

매장 입구에서는 나난 작가님이 생각나는 귀여운 도토리 일러스트들이 반겨줍니다 :)
At the entrance of the store, adorable acorn illustrations are scattered around, welcoming customers.
평일 12시 조금 넘어서 도착했는데, 비가 많이 와서 그런지 한산한 편이었어요.
I arrived a little past 12 P.M. on a weekday, and perhaps due to the heavy rain, it was relatively quiet.
저희는 2인석에 앉았어요. 인원수에 맞게 테이블을 배정해주는 거 같더라고요.
We sat at a table for two. It seemed like they assigned tables based on the number of people.
매장 곳곳에 도토리 일러스트의 귀여운 부채가 비차되어있었어요. 필요할 경우 가져가도 된다고 합니다 :)
Adorable acorn-themed fans with illustrations were placed throughout the store. The staff mentioned that I could take one if needed.
착석 후, 수저와 물도 갖다주셨어요. 수저 포장 용지에는 맛있게 먹는 방법이 써있는데요, 덥밥 메뉴에 해당되는 설명 같아요.
After being seated, the staff brought us utensils and water. The utensil packaging had instructions on how to enjoy the meal, which appeared to be related to the rice bowl menus.
테이블 옆 창가에는 각종 소스와 물티슈가 놓여있었어요. 정식을 주문할 경우 트레이에 식사가 나오는데, 2인 테이블 위에 2개의 트레이를 올려놓기에 조금 좁은 편이긴 합니다.
On the windowsill next to our table, there were various sauces and wet wipes. The set meals were presented on trays, but for a 2-person table, accommodating two trays made it feel a bit crowded.
주문은 태블릿을 이용해서 할 수 있어요.
You can place your order using a tablet that is placed on the table.
일본 식당 가면 늘 보이는 메론 소다- 그러고보니 정작 일본 여행 갔을 때는 안 사먹었네요. 다음에 일본을 가게 된다면 메론 소다가 보이는지 확인해봐야겠어요 :)
When I visit a Japanese restaurant, I often come across melon soda - now that I think about it, I didn't actually try it when I went to Japan. If I have the chance to visit Tokyo again, I'll make sure to check if they have melon soda.
이날 친구는 모듬불대창 덮밥 정식을 주문했어요. 마요네즈 소스를 뿌려가며 먹으면 된다고 하시더라고요. 저도 한입 맛봤는데 적당히 매콤하고 맛있었어요.
My friend ordered the Spicy Assorted Beef Intestine Topped Rice Bowl Set. They recommended eating it with mayo sauce drizzled on top. I tried a bite too, and it was pleasantly spicy and delicious.
저는 미야자키 치킨난반 정식을 주문했어요. '치킨난반'은 일본식 닭튀김이라고 합니다. 반찬 3종류도 다 맛있고, 오이냉국도 맛있더라고요.
I ordered the Miyazaki Chicken Nanban set. 'Chicken Nanban' is said to be Japanese-style fried chicken. All three side dishes were delicious, and the cold cucumber soup was tasty too.
치킨난반 위에 타르타르 소스도 듬뿍 뿌려주셔서 정말 맛있게 먹었어요. 소스가 모자라면 난감한데 말이죠...ㅎㅎㅎ
The Chicken Nanban was made even more delicious with an abundant drizzle of tartar sauce. I really dislike it when I run out of sauce, but they were quite generous with it.
중딩 때부터 알고 지낸, 오랜 친구와 만나서 수다를 떨다보니 시간이 훌쩍 지나가더라고요. 열심히 돈 벌어서 10년 후엔 꼭 사대문 안에서 만나기로 약속했어요. 화이팅👍👍
As I caught up with my old friend, time flew by. We made a promise to work hard and save enough to live inside the historic gates of Seoul in 10 years. I hope I can keep that promise 🤣 Let's break a leg!
