지난 8월, 잠실 롯데월드몰에 런던 베이글 뮤지움이 오픈했더라고요. 저는 얼마 전 평일에 방문했는데도 인기가 여전했습니다. 혼자였다면 웨이팅이 엄두가 안나서 못갔을텐데, 친구들과 점심 먹으며 대기를 걸어두고 식사를 끝내고 들어갈 수 있었어요.

The London Bagel Museum opened its branch at Jamsil Lotte World Mall last August. I visited not too long ago on a weekday, and it was still incredibly popular. If I had been alone, I might not have been able to endure the waiting time. However, I had a lunch appointment with my friends that day, so we received a waiting number while having lunch and entered after finishing our meal.
매장 내부 곳곳에는 영면하신 여왕님 사진이 보였어요. 영국 왕실과는 어떤 인연이 있는건지 궁금하네요...
Inside the store, I noticed pictures of Queen Elizabeth. I'm curious about the connection this brand has with the British royal family..
굿즈도 이것저것 판매하고 있었고.
They were also selling various kinds of merchandise.
런던 베이글 뮤지움의 마스코트인, 포그리 인형도 판매중이에요. 엄청 보들보들해서 아이들도 좋아할 거 같아요.
매장에 좌석도 있지만, 워낙 사람이 많아서 여유롭게 앉아먹을 수 있는 분위기는 아니더라고요. 저를 포함, 방문한 사람들은 대부분 포장 고객이었어요.
The London Bagel Museum's mascot, a pony named Pogry, is also available for purchase. The doll is incredibly soft, making it perfect for children. Despite having seating in the store, it was quite crowded, and there wasn't a relaxed atmosphere for sitting and eating. Most people, myself included, seemed to prefer opting for takeout.
저는 원래 베이글 샌드위치를 좋아하는 편인데, 다양한 메뉴를 보니 눈이 돌아가더라고요... 뭘 사야할지 고민하다가 대파 크림치즈 샌드위치를 골라보았습니다.
I usually enjoy bagel sandwiches, so when I saw the diverse menu, it was hard to choose what to eat. I decided to try the green onion cream cheese sandwich.
품절된 베이글도 있어서 아쉽...

스프레드도 판매하는데, 메이플 피칸 크림치즈도 하나 샀어요.
I also bought the Maple Pecan Cream Cheese.
2시간 이상 이동시, 아이스팩과 보냉백 사용을 권장하고 있어서 어쩔 수 없이 1,000원 내고 구입했습니다.
They recommended to purchase an insulated bag, if you travel for more than 2 hours. So I had no choice but to buy one.

I tasted the Blueberry Bagel & Maple Pecan Cream Cheese first.
아들 오후 간식으로, 블루베리 베이글부터 꺼내보았어요. 그대로도 맛있어보여서 토스터기에 데우지 않고, 바로 잘라서 먹었어요.
It looked delicious as it was, so I didn't bother to heat it in the toaster.
같이 산 스프레드도 먹어봐야겠죠 :)
크림 치즈와, 피칸 토핑이 같이 들어있어요.
크림치즈부터 바르고, 위에 바삭한 토핑을 얹어보았는데... 진짜 맛있더라고요. 아이도 맛있는지 꿀떡꿀떡 다 먹었어요.
I spread the cream cheese first and added the crispy pecan topping. The bagel was soft, chewy, and really delicious. Even my child enjoyed it and quickly finished eating.
그리고 다음날 점심으로, 대파 크림치즈 베이글을 먹어보았습니다.
The next day, I tried the Green Onion Cream Cheese Bagel Sandwich for lunch.
크림치즈가 듬뿍 들어가있고, 쪽파가 겉면에 둘러져있어요. 크림치즈의 느끼함을 매콤한 대파가 조금 완화해주길 바랬는데, 생각보다 크림치즈가 너무 많고... 조금 아쉬운 맛이었어요. 개인적으로는 블루베리 베이글+메이플 피칸 크림치즈의 조합이 더 좋았습니다.
It's generously filled with cream cheese, and green onions surround the outer layer. I hoped the spiciness of the green onions would slightly balance out the richness of the cream cheese, but there was more cream cheese than expected.
Personally, I found the combination of blueberry bagel with maple pecan cream cheese more satisfying.
짝꿍에게 맛보여주지 못해서 조금 미안함이 있는데... 다음에 갈 기회가 있다면, 도착하자마자 미리 대기를 걸어두고 볼 일 보다가 방문하는 방법으로 재구입해야겠어요. 언제쯤 이 인기가 식을지 모르겠지만, 그래도 기다려서 먹어볼만했다라는 결론^^ㅎㅎㅎ
I'm not certain when the popularity will decline, but waiting was still worthwhile. If I get a chance to visit again, I'd like to explore other types of sandwiches.
