아마도 여름 끝자락… (포스팅이 어지간히 많이 밀림;) 홍제천 산책한 후 아드님의 제안으로 가게 된 카페 ‘온더문’.
After taking a stroll along Hongjecheon Stream, my son suggested we stop by a café nearby called On The Moon.

해가 저물 무렵 방문했는데, 은은한 조명과 함께 분위기가 한층 더 아늑하게 느껴졌어요.
We went in the evening, and the place had such a calm, cozy vibe — even more charming under the soft lights.
카페 온더문(On the Moon)은 홍제역 4번 출구 뒤 골목에 자리해 있어요.
번화한 홍제역 근처지만, 한 골목만 들어가면 분위기가 확 달라져요. 아담하지만 편안하고 차분한 공간이라, 잠시 쉬어가기에도 참 좋은 카페였어요.
On The Moon is located in a quiet alley just behind Exit 4 of Hongje Station.
Though it’s not a large café, it feels warm and welcoming from the moment you step inside. It’s the kind of place where you can sit for a while, relax, and forget about the busy city just outside.
주문은 카운터에서 직접 진행할 수 있어요. 커피 메뉴가 메인이지만, 계절마다 달라지는 시즌 음료도 함께 판매 중이에요. 제가 방문했을 땐 여름 한정 음료가 아직 남아 있어서 수박 슬러시와 자두 에이드를 주문해보았습니다 :)
Orders are placed at the counter, and while coffee is their main focus, they also offer seasonal drinks.
카운터 옆 진열대에는 스콘, 케이크 등 다양한 베이커리류가 준비되어 있었어요.
디저트와 함께 즐기기 좋은 구성이었고, 콜드브루나 주스 같은 병음료도 판매 중이라 테이크아웃하기에도 좋아 보였어요.
Next to the counter, you’ll find a small display with freshly baked scones, cakes, and bottled drinks like cold brew and juice.
음료 주문 시에는 스탬프 적립도 가능했어요. 도장을 10개 모으면 5,500원 상당의 음료를 무료로 주문할 수 있는 혜택이 있더라고요.
They even have a stamp reward program — collect 10 stamps and you can get a free drink worth 5,500 KRW.
수박 슬러시는 여름 한정 메뉴답게 시원함이 가득했어요. 진짜 수박을 그대로 갈아 넣은 맛으로 인공적인 단맛이 거의 없고, 수박 본연의 깔끔한 단맛이 느껴졌어요. 씨도 깔끔하게 제거가 잘 되어 먹기도 좋더라고요.
That day, we ordered a Watermelon Slush, Plum Ade, and a slice of Carrot Cake.
The Watermelon Slush was light, sweet, and incredibly refreshing — just what I needed after walking outside in the sun.
자두 에이드는 상큼함이 확 느껴지는 음료였어요. 잔 아래에 자두청이 가라앉아 있어서 토닉워터와 잘 섞이도록 저어준 후 마셔야 하는데요, 톡 쏘는 탄산에 자두 특유의 새콤달콤함이 어우러져 더운 날씨에 정말 잘 어울렸어요.
The Plum Ade had a perfect balance of tartness and fizz, with homemade plum syrup at the bottom that you stir into the tonic water. It tasted as good as it looked — bright and fruity!
당근 케이크는 은은한 시나몬 향과 촉촉한 식감이 인상적이었어요. 크림치즈 프로스팅이 과하지 않아서 음료랑 함께 먹기에도 딱 좋았고, 한 조각으로 충분히 만족스러웠어요.
The Carrot Cake was moist and full of flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness to pair with the drinks.
카페 온더문은 규모는 크지 않지만, 공간이 주는 편안함과 음료·디저트의 높은 퀄리티가 인상적이었어요.
수박 슬러시나 자두 에이드 같은 시즌 음료는 물론, 케이크까지 하나하나 정성스럽게 만들어져서 만족스러웠습니다. 홍제역 근처에서 오랫동안 사랑받는 이유를 알겠더라고요. 홍제천 산책 후 들러 여유롭게 한 잔 즐기기 좋은 카페로 추천드리고 싶어요.
Though the café is small, every detail — from the drinks to the desserts — shows real care and quality.
I can see why On The Moon has been loved by locals near Hongje Station for so long.
If you’re ever walking by Hongjecheon or looking for a quiet spot to unwind, this café is the perfect little hideaway to rest and recharge.
