제 11회 이화가족 어린이 그림그리기 대회

화창했던 가을날, 아이와 함께 이화가족 어린이 그림그리기 대회에 다녀왔어요. 모교 총동창회 인스타그램을 팔로우하며 행사 소식을 알게 되었고, 오랜만에 학교도 둘러보면서 아이와 추억을 만들고 싶어서 신청하게 됐어요.
A sunny autumn day, I took my child to the Ewha Family Children’s Drawing Contest. I thought it would be a perfect chance to revisit the campus and make some memories with my family.

대강당 앞에서 기념 사진 찰칵

참가비는 5만 원이었고, 유치원생부터 초등학교 저학년까지 신청할 수 있더라고요. 졸업생, 재학생 가족이면 참여 가능한 행사인데, 이렇게 좋은 걸 왜 이제서야 알았나 싶었어요.
The participation fee was 50,000 KRW, and the contest was open to kindergarteners and lower-grade elementary students. It’s an event for alumni and current students... so I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard about it sooner!

일정

대회는 오전 10시부터 오후 3시까지 진행되었는데요. 대강당 앞 우측 부스에서 신청 확인을 하고 도화지를 받을 수 있었고, 주제도 당일 현장에서 제시되었어요. 우천 시에는 대강당 실내에서 진행된다고 공지되어 있었는데, 다행히 날이 정말 맑아서 교정을 자유롭게 돌아다니며 그릴 수 있는 분위기였어요.
주차권은 일일권을 5,000원에 구매할 수 있어서 도화지를 받으면서 바로 함께 구입했습니다 :) 
The contest ran from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. At the booth on the right side in front of the main auditorium, we checked in and picked up the drawing paper. The theme was revealed on the day of the contest. They mentioned that in case of rain, the event would be held indoors, but thankfully the weather was perfect, letting us enjoy the campus while drawing.
We also bought a parking pass for 5,000 KRW there.

도화지 받고 ECC에서

돗자리를 깔고 피크닉 분위기로 그림 대회를 즐기는 가족들도 많았는데, 저희는 짝꿍의 허리 문제로 바닥에 오래 앉기가 어려워서 ECC 지하의 테이블에 자리를 잡았어요. 대학 시절엔 편의점에서 도시락을 사 먹거나 과제하러 자주 앉아 있던 곳인데, 아이와 함께 다시 와보니 기분이 참 새롭더라고요.
Many families spread out picnic mats and enjoyed a relaxed, outdoor vibe. Since my partner has back issues, we couldn’t sit on the floor, so we took a table in the ECC basement instead. It was the same place I used to sit during my college days, eating lunch boxes or working on assignments, but being there with my child felt refreshingly nostalgic.

마음대로 그려봐!

이 날 제시된 주제는 ‘나의 하루’였는데, 아이는 머릿속이 온통 지하철 생각뿐이라 결국 지하철을 타는 자신의 하루를 그렸어요. 심사위원들이 보면 이해하기 어렵겠다 싶었지만, 아이가 즐겁게 그리고 싶은 걸 마음껏 표현하길 바라는 마음에 따로 터치하지 않았습니다...ㅎㅎㅎ
The theme was “My Day”, but my child couldn’t stop thinking about subways, so he ended up drawing a day riding the subway. I was a little worried the judges might not understand, but I wanted my child to enjoy the process, so I let him draw freely.

포토존

작품 제출 하고 포토존에서도 남겨 본 사진 :)
제출된 작품은 실물을 다시 돌려받을 순 없지만, 추후에 신청자에 한해 메일로 작품 사진을 보내주시더라고요.
After submitting the drawing, we also took some photos at the photo zone :)
Although the original artwork can’t be returned, they mentioned that participants who request it can receive a photo of their work via email later.

작품 제출처

그리고 작품을 제출 후, 간식 꾸러미를 받을 수 있어요. 2인 기준의 도시락 정도라고 공지되었는데 김밥 1줄, 샌드위치 1개, 생수 1병, 과자, 빵 등으로 구성되어있었어요. 세 가족이 먹기에는 아쉬운 양이라 편의점에서 컵라면을 충당해서 더 먹었답니다.
When we submitted the drawing, we received a snack pack. It was meant for two people, and it included one kimbap roll, one sandwich, a bottle of water, some snacks, and bread. Since the portion was a bit small for our family of three, we grabbed some cup noodles from a convenience store to fill us up.

김밥

풍선 아트, 페이스 페인팅 무료체험 부스

대강당 우측에는 풍선 아트와 페이스 페인팅 무료 체험 부스, 총동창회 굿즈 판매 부스 등이 운영되고 있었어요. 페이스 페인팅과 풍선 아트는 줄도 꽤 길어서 한참을 기다려야 할 정도였어요.
On the right side of the auditorium, there were free activity booths for balloon art and face painting, along with a small merchandise booth. The lines for balloon art and face painting were quite long, showing just how popular these activities were.

시상식

각자 자유시간을 갖다가 오후 2시부터는 대강당에 모여 시상식이 진행되었어요. 심사는 조형예술대학 교수님들이 맡아주셨고, 시상 후에는 기념 촬영도 이어졌어요.
상은 총 여섯 종류 정도였던 것 같고, 주제에 맞게 잘 그리거나 표현력이 돋보인 친구들을 각 부문별로 5명씩 선정해 ‘춘식이 학용품 세트’를 추가로 선물해 주더라고요. 그 외의 참가자들은 모두 참가상을 받았고요.
저희 아이는 참가상을 받고 조금 아쉬워하더라고요...ㅎㅎㅎ (상 받으려면 주제에 맞게 심사위원들이 알아볼 수 있게 그려야하느니라...)
At 2 p.m., everyone gathered in the auditorium for the award ceremony. I heard that professors from the College of Fine Arts served as judges. There were about six award categories, and in each, five children with the best interpretation of the theme or most creative drawings received a Chunsik stationery set. Everyone else received participation prizes. My child got a participation prize and seemed a little disappointed—but to win an award, the drawing has to clearly match the theme!

참가 기념품

참가 기념품으로는 총동창회 수건 세트와 전자노트를 받았어요. 유치원생과 초저학년 대상이라 학용품 위주로 준비됐으면 더 좋았겠다는 아쉬움은 있지만, 내년이 마지막 참가 기회라 기회가 된다면 또 참가해보려 합니다 :)
As participation gifts, we received an Alumni Association towel and an electronic notebook. Since the contest is for younger children, I thought it would have been nice if there were more stationery items, but it was still a fun experience. Next year will be the last chance to participate, so we’re hoping to join again.

화창한 날 아이와 함께 즐겁게 학교도 둘러보며 추억을 쌓을 수 있었던 뜻깊은 하루였어요. 앞으로도 총동창회에서 진행되는 행사에 관심을 가져야겠다는 생각이 들었습니다.
It was such a meaningful day—enjoying art, exploring the campus, and creating memories together. It also made me realize I should pay more attention to events hosted by the Alumni Association.
