얼마 전에 가족들과 함께 천안 여행을 다녀왔어요. 천안 가는 길에, 충남 아산의 모나밸리에 들러서 점심 식사를 했습니다 :) 모나밸리는 예전에도 가보고 싶어서 카카오 맵에 표시를 해뒀던 곳인데요, 이번에 처음 방문하게 되었어요.
Last week I went on a trip to Cheonan with my family. On our way to Cheonan, we stopped by a place called [MonaValley] in Asan, Chungnam, for lunch.

모나밸리는 레스토랑, 갤러리, 카페, 웨딩홀, 연회장 등으로 이루어진 복합 문화공간이에요.
[MonaValley] is a complex cultural space consisting of restaurants, galleries, cafes, wedding halls, banquet halls, and more.
레스토랑 이용 고객은 제 2주차장을 이용해달라고 써있어서 저희는 뒤쪽의 제 2주차장에 주차를 했어요. 유료 주차장이지만, 업장 이용시 3시간 무료입니다. 한산한 평일에는 주차요금을 굳이 받는 거 같진 않았어요.
We parked in the second parking lot, as indicated by the sign. Although it's a paid parking facility, they offer 3 hours of free parking when you dine at the establishment. Since it was a quiet weekday with not many people around, it didn't seem that they were actively enforcing parking fees.
주차장에서 레스토랑으로 가는 입구가 초록초록합니다. 갤러리는 [더 퍼플], 카페는 [더 그린], 연회장은 [더 골드], 다 컬러를 테마로 네이밍을 했더라고요 :)
It appears that they've chosen colors as themes for their naming. The restaurant is named "The Red," the gallery is "The Purple," the cafe is "The Green," and the banquet hall is "The Gold."

내부는 살짝 어두운 인테리어에요. 통창뷰가 시원합니다.
The interior has a slightly dimmed ambiance. The panoramic window view is refreshing.
이탈리안 레스토랑이다보니, 포크와 스푼 그리고 나이프가 셋팅되어있었어요. 구 모나무르 로고를 보면 특정 패션 브랜드가 생각나는 건 저만의 느낌일까요...🤔
Since it's an Italian restaurant, they had set up forks, spoons, and knives on the table. When I looked at the old MONAMOUR logo, it reminded me of a particular fashion brand. I wonder if that's just my personal impression...
저희는 2인 커플 세트(119,000원)를 주문했어요.
We ordered the couple set, priced at 119,000 won.
가장 먼저 식전 음료인 매실 주스가 나왔어요. 시원하고 달달해서 아이들이 마시기도 좋았어요. (아드님이 제 음료를 다 마신 건 안 비밀....)
The pre-meal drink, plum juice, was served first. It was refreshing and sweet, making it enjoyable for the kids too. (My son finished my drink after taking a sip...)
스프는 버섯 크림 스프가 나왔어요. 고소하고 맛있었습니다.
The mushroom cream soup was rich and delicious.
식전빵도 스프와 같이 서빙되었어요. 식전빵도 맛있어하는 아드님에게 다 양보했어요...
They served pre-meal bread along with the soup. My son also ended up eating most of my bread...
시저 샐러드도 아삭아삭하니 맛있더라고요. 수제 베이컨은 아래쪽에 숨겨져 있어서 잘 찾아먹어야 합니다ㅎㅎㅎ
The Caesar Salad was crispy and delicious. The homemade bacon was hidden underneath, so you had to look for it to enjoy it thoroughly!
핑크 명란 파스타는 도톰한 페투치네면으로 요리된 크림 파스타였어요. 핑크색은 비트로 낸 게 아닐까 싶은데, 확실하진 않아요ㅎㅎ짝꿍이 제일 맛있게 먹더라고요 :)
The Pink Cod Roe Pasta was a creamy pasta dish made with thick fettuccine noodles. I'm not entirely sure, but the pink color might have come from beets.
메인 요리 스테이크도 금방 나왔어요. 랍스타는 먹기좋게 손질되어있어서, 별도로 제공된 소스에 찍어먹으면 됩니다.
Next, the Steak and Lobster dish was served. The lobster was conveniently prepared for easy eating, and you could enjoy it with the sauce provided separately.
마지막으로 후식은 인절미 티라미수가 나왔어요.
For dessert, Injeolmi Tiramisu was served.
약간 퍽퍽한 느낌이 있어서 조금 아쉬웠지만, 마지막으로 입가심하기엔 좋았어요.
It seemed a little dry, which was a bit disappointing, but it was still a nice way to finish the meal.
식사 후에는 워터 가든과 갤러리 구경을 했어요.
After having lunch, we visited the water garden and explored the gallery.
워터 가든은 주변 건물, 그리고 하늘과 어우러져서 예쁘더라고요 :)
The water garden was beautiful, blending in with the surrounding buildings and the sky.
바람소리 연못 주변의 정원도 예쁘게 가꿔져있었어요. 이날 하늘에 먹구름이 잔뜩 껴있었는데 날씨 요정 덕분에 비는 맞지 않았다는 썰...
The garden around the pond was also nicely landscaped. Although the sky was full of rain clouds that day, thanks to the weather fairy, we didn't get wet...
갤러리에서 가장 기억에 남는 작품도 한 장 찍어보았어요. 목화솜을 여러개 이어붙여, 몽환적인 느낌을 연출했는데 팀랩 스튜디오가 잠깐 생각나기도 했어요.
I also took a picture of the most memorable artwork in the gallery. It created a dreamy atmosphere by connecting several pieces of cotton, and it briefly reminded me of TeamLab Studio.
갤러리에서 나온 후 보는 워터 가든은 또 다른 느낌이었어요. 인스타보니 여기서 인생샷 많이 건지던데, 극 I인 자는 풍경 사진으로 만족하고 왔습니다 :)
The water garden had a different atmosphere when viewed from the gallery. I noticed many people taking Instagram-worthy shots there, but I was content with landscape photos because I'm not really into taking selfies.
천안 여행을 가게 되면서 모나밸리 구경도 잘 하고 왔네요. 웨딩홀도 있어서, 소규모 웨딩이나 행사를 하기에도 괜찮아보였어요. 근교에 감각적인 복합 문화공간이 많이 탄생하길 바랍니다 :)
I had a great time exploring MonaValley during my trip to Cheonan. With its event facilities, it appears to be a suitable venue for small weddings or events. I hope to see more stylish and diverse cultural spaces like this emerging in the area.
