서래섬과 반포한강공원에서 진행 중인 2023 서울라이트 한강빛섬축제에 다녀왔어요. 한강빛섬축제는 올해 처음 개최되었는데요, 10월 6일부터 15일까지 열흘간 진행됩니다. 오늘이 마지막 날이지만 앞으로 매년 열린다고 하니, 행사 모습이 어떻게 변화하는지 기록하고 싶어서 블로그에 포스팅해 보아요.
Yesterday, I visited the 2023 Seoul Light Hangang Bitseom Festival, currently taking place at Seorae Island and Banpo Han River Park. The Hangang Bitsem Festival is being held for the first time this year and will run for ten days from October 6th to the 15th. Although today is the last day, I heard that it will be held annually from now on.

지난 9월 DDP에서 진행되었던 서울라이트 전시를 가보지 못해 아쉬웠는데, 아름다운 한강에서 수변 미디어 아트를 감상할 수 있는 기회가 생겨서 너무 좋았어요.
I regretted not being able to visit the Seoul Light Exhibition held at the DDP last September, but I was thrilled to have the opportunity to enjoy waterfront media art in the beautiful Han River.
한강에 도착했을 무렵 노을이 지고 있었는데, 튜브스터를 30분 타고 오니 해가 지고, 미디어 아트를 감상하기 좋은 시간대였어요.
행사장 내에서 참여모습이 찍힐 수 있다는 초상권 사용 안내도 곳곳에 있었어요.
There were notices about the right to photograph participants within the event area posted throughout.
행사장이 어두운 데다, 당일 오전에 내린 비로 인해 조금 미끄럽더라고요. 걸어 다니면서 작품 감상을 해야 하기 때문에 혹시 방문하시는 분들은 안전을 위해 가능하면 운동화를 신는 걸 추천드려요.
The event venue was a bit slippery due to the rain that fell earlier in the morning. Since it is dark, and you have to walk around to appreciate the artworks, I recommend wearing sneakers for safety if you plan to visit.
입구에는 엘지 유플러스의 대표 캐릭터인 무너가 보였어요. 전시는 총 5개의 구역(A, B, C, D, E)으로 나뉘어 진행되고 있습니다.
At the entrance, there was Moono, the representative character of LG Uplus. The exhibition is divided into a total of five zones (A, B, C, D, E)
- A존 - 찬란한 기억들을 소환하는 장치 (김민직, 고휘 작가)
최근 마리오 오디세이를 재밌게 했던지라, 숲 왕국의 메카 둥둥이가 생각나더라고요...🙈 조명과 음악이 정말 멋진 작품이었요. 마지막에는 비눗방울까지 뿜어져 나오면서 몽환적인 분위기가 더해집니다.
Since I've been playing the Super Mario Odyssey game these days, this sort of reminded me of the Mecha Wiggler in the Wooded Kingdom. The lighting and music were truly fantastic.. Towards the end, bubbles were even blown, adding a dreamy atmosphere.
곳곳에 귀여운 무너의 모습이 보여서 괜스레 반가웠습니다. 무너의 MBTI가 ENTJ라고ㅋㅋ 요즘 캐릭터에도 MBTI를 만들어주는 세상이네요.
It was delightful to see the adorable character Moono here and there.
- B존 - 디지털 사파리 (이재형 작가)
디지털 사파리는 엘지 유플러스 후원 작품이더라고요. 곰, 사슴, 말 등의 동물의 표면에 LED가 감싸져 있어 다양하게 움직이는 불빛이 감상 포인트예요.
The Digital Safari is sponsored by LG Uplus. LED lights are wrapped around the surfaces of animals such as bears, deer, and horses, creating a diverse play of moving lights that is a key point of artwork.
- C존 - 루미너스 웹 (EASYWITH, 걸작 작가)
몰입형 체험 전시인 루미너스 웹. 머리 위에 거미줄처럼 역인 줄과 레이저 불빛, 그리고 음향까지 도쿄에서 인상 깊게 보았던 팀랩 전시 생각도 조금 나더라고요.
레이저를 만져보면서 상호작용할 수 있는 체험 전시인데, 아이가 여기 소리를 무서워해서 저희는 사진만 찍고 후다닥 빠져나왔습니다.
The artwork 'Luminous Web', with its spiderweb-like ropes, laser lights, and even sound, reminded me a bit of the teamLab exhibition I found impressive in Tokyo. It's an interactive exhibition where you can touch the laser lights, but my child found the sound here a bit frightening, so we quickly took some photos and left.
멀리서 봐도 정말 멋졌습니다.
It looked really impressive even from a distance.
- D존 - 꿈의 별빛
메밀 꽃밭에 레이저 불빛이 반짝이던 꿈의 별빛. 아이가 여기서는 레이저 불빛을 만져보고 싶다며 한참 손을 뻗고 불빛을 따라다녔어요.
At this area, the laser lights sparkled in the flower field. My child had fun while reaching out and touching the lights.
- 꿈의 물결
이 작품은 유일하게 한강 물 위에서 연출된 작품이라고 해요. 연무가 뿌려지고, 레이저가 그림처럼 표현되는데 너무 신기했어요. 이건 사진에 담기지 않아서, 정말 실제로 보셔야 합니다...
6가지 작품 중 가장 인상 깊게 본 작품이에요.
This artwork is the only one displayed on the Han River water. Mist is sprayed, and the lasers are expressed like a painting, which was fascinating. It's something that can't be captured in photos; so you really have to see it in person... Among the six pieces, it was the most impressive one for me.
- E존 - 하이퍼 드라이브
사전 예약을 통해 1 회차당 50명만 입장할 수 있는 하이퍼 드라이브. 공간 밖에서도 감상이 가능했고, 아이가 C존을 많이 무서워했기에 저희는 안으로 들어가지 않고, 밖에서 감상했어요.
안에서 봤으면 웅장한 스크린에, 음향에, 몰입감이 엄청났을 거 같긴 해요.
The last artwork, 'Hyper Drive,' allowed only 50 people per session through advance reservations. It was possible to appreciate it even from outside the space. Since my child found Zone C quite frightening, we chose not to enter and enjoyed it from the outside. I imagine the experience would have been incredibly grand inside, with a majestic screen, sound, and immersive effects.
서울 한강에서 이렇게 퀄리티 높은 미디어 아트를 무료로 관람할 수 있다니, 정말 인상 깊고 좋았어요. 내년도 기대되는 한강빛섬축제입니다 :)
It's truly impressive and wonderful that we can enjoy such high-quality media art for free along the Han River in Seoul. I'm totally looking forward to next year's Light Festival!
