짝꿍이 휴가인 날, 둘이서 오랜만에 브런치를 먹으러 갔어요. 연희동 쿳사는 예전부터 가보고 싶어서 눈독 들이고 있었는데 드디어 방문해보았네요 :)
버스를 타고 가도 되지만 이날은 운동삼아 살살 걸어갔어요. 30분 정도 걷다보니 마주한 쿳사.
About two weeks ago, I went out to have brunch with my husband. I had been eyeing the brunch cafe 'Coottha' for a while and finally got a chance to visit.
We could have taken the bus, but we decided to walk because the weather was quite nice. It took about 30 minutes to get there.

쿳사 매장은 화이트 톤으로 깔끔하게 꾸며져 있어 멀리서도 눈에 띄더라고요.
I easily recognized the restaurant due to its clean and white tone.

The inside of the restaurant has a casual atmosphere.
예약을 별도로 안하고 방문했더니, 창가 좌석만 남아있어서 저희는 창가에 착석했어요. 테이블 좌석보다 좁긴 하지만, 밖을 바라보며 식사할 수 있어서 나름 괜찮았어요.
We visited the restaurant without making a reservation, and only the window seats were available. Although the seats were narrower than the table seats, it was still nice to enjoy the meal while looking outside.
필요한 경우, 추가로 사용할 수 있도록 테이블 한 켠에 물티슈와 냅킨 그리고 수저 등이 놓여져 있어요.
There are napkins, tissue paper and utensils placed at one corner of the table.

- 주차장 & 화장실 안내
주차는 가능하나 공간이 넓지 않은 편이에요. 인스타로 찾아봤을 때, 쿳사 바로 우측 건물의 브라운힐 지상 주차장을 추천하시긴 하더라고요.
While there is a parking lot available, it is limited in space. Therefore, I would recommend taking the bus as an alternative.
화장실은 매장에서 나간 후, 건물 뒤쪽으로 가야 있나봐요. 사용을 안해서 컨디션은 잘 모르겠습니다..ㅎㅎ 카드로 주차장/화장실 정보가 친절하게 안내가 되어 있는 점은 좋았어요.
It appears that the restroom is situated at the back of the building. I didn't use it, so I cannot comment on its condition. Nonetheless, I appreciated that the parking and restroom information were conveniently provided on a card.

You need to place your order at the counter, and it's a prepayment system.
음료가 가장 먼저 나왔는데요, 브런치 메뉴를 먹을 때 빠질 수 없는 바닐라 라떼. 저는 달달한 라떼와 에그 베네딕트의 조합이 그렇게 좋더라고요.
The drinks came out first. I really enjoy the combination of a vanilla latte with Egg Benedicts.
짝궁은 치킨 콩피 & 보리버섯 필라프를 주문했어요. 콩피(confit)는 닭고기를 자체 지방에 절여서 만든 요리라고 해요. 닭다리살 구이 같은 느낌인데, 고소하고 담백한 식사 메뉴였어요.
My husband ordered Chicken Confit and Barley Mushroom Pilaf. "Confit" is actually a method of cooking meat (often duck or goose) in its own fat, at a low temperature for a long time. It was like roasted chicken legs, savory and delicious .
에그 베네딕트를 좋아하는 저는, 쿳사 베네딕트를 주문했어요. 메뉴판에 약간 매콤하다고 표기되어있었는데, 파프리카 가루도 듬뿍 뿌려져있고 홀랜다이즈 소스도 살짝 매콤해서 기존에 알고 있던 에그 베네딕트를 새롭게 해석한 느낌이었어요. 재료 본연의 맛에 충실하면서도, 크게 자극적이지 않아서 좋았습니다.
쿳사는 계절마다 메뉴를 조금씩 리뉴얼하며 선보이고 있는데, 다가오는 여름/가을에는 어떻게 바뀔지 또 궁금하네요. 계절별로 바뀌는 에그 베네딕트를 먹어보는 재미가 또 있을 거 같아요. 열정적인 쉐프들에게 박수를 보냅니다👏👏👏
I ordered the Coottha Benedict because I enjoy having egg benedicts. The menu indicated that it was slightly spicy, and it was topped with a generous amount of paprika powder. The Hollandaise sauce was also slightly spicy. It was a unique take on the classic dish and I appreciated how they stayed true to the original flavors while adding a little kick.
Coottha changes their menu slightly every season, and I'm curious to see what they will offer in the upcoming summer/fall season. It would be fun to try their seasonal egg benedicts!
