저희집 꼬맹이는 마을버스를 정말 좋아하는데요, 일주일에 한 두번은 별 이유없이 마을버스를 타고 동네를 한바퀴씩 돌고 와요. 아이에겐 놀이기구 같은 셈이죠 :)
지난주에는 아이가 서대문11번 마을버스를 타고 싶다고 해서, 서대문 11번 마을버스를 타고 포방터 시장을 다녀왔어요. 포방터 시장 입구에서 바로 내릴 수 있습니다.
My child really enjoys riding the local community bus. We take a ride around the neighborhood once or twice a week for no specific reason. For him, the bus is like a thrilling amusement ride.
Last week, my child wanted to ride the Seodaemun11 local bus, so we hopped on and visited Pobangteo Market.
점심 시간 때라 간김에 식사를 할까 싶어서 아이와 함께 먹을 만한 곳을 검색해보았는데, 포방돈카라는 돈까스 집을 알게 되었어요.
Since it was lunchtime, I thought it would be a good idea to grab a meal while we were there. I searched for a place to eat, and came across a restaurant called Pobang Donka.

포방터 시장은 처음 가보았는데 생각보다 넓지 않고, 아담한 편이더라고요. 평일이라 그런지 많이 한적해서 놀랐어요... 포방돈카는 남문 입구에서 가까워요.
I visited Pobangteo Market for the first time, and it was smaller than I expected. Surprisingly, it wasn't too crowded, perhaps because it was a weekday. Pobang Donka is located near the South Gate entrance.
내부는 4인 테이블 2개, 2인 테이블이 2개 정도 있었어요.
Inside the restaurant, there were about 4 tables.
돈까스는 4종류를 판매하고 있어요. 메뉴판을 보니 한차례 가격 변동이 있었지만, 굉장히 착한 가격대의 돈까스에요. 저는 아이랑 나눠먹으려고 치즈 돈까스를 1개 주문했어요.
They offer four types of pork cutlet on their menu. I noticed that there had been a price change, but the dishes were still reasonably priced. I decided to order one serving of cheese pork cutlet to share with my child.

조금 기다리다보니 돈까스도 바로 나왔어요. 치즈도 듬뿍 들어있고, 제 입맛엔 느끼하지 않고 정말 맛있었어요. 아이 많이 먹길 바랬는데 딱 2조각만 먹더라고요...
The pork cutlet had a generous amount of cheese, and it was really delicious. I hoped my son would eat a lot, but he ended up eating only two pieces...
돈까스를 주문하면 밥, 국 그리고 밑반찬 2개가 기본으로 같이 나와요. 깍두기, 양파 절임, 샐러드 드레싱 등 밑반찬도 모두 직접 만드신다고 해요. 인공조미료 느낌이 없어서 그런지 제 입맛엔 맛있더라고요. 샐러드 드레싱이 고소하니 특히 맛있었습니다 :)
Rice, soup, and two types of side dishes are included as a standard with the pork cutlet. They are all homemade, and I didn't detect much artificial flavoring. I particularly enjoyed the salad dressing, which had a rich and nutty flavor.
- 화장실 안내 (Toilet Information)
아이가 중간에 먹다말고 화장실이 급하다길래, 어쩌다보니 근처 화장실도 다녀왔어요. 가게 내부에는 화장실이 없고, 2분 거리의 공영주차장 화장실을 이용해야합니다. 시설이 낡고 휴지도 없고 별로 깨끗하진 않았어요... 시장에 사람들이 많이 오게 하려면 화장실 정비도 필요하다는 생각이 들었습니다.
There was no restroom inside the restaurant, so we had to walk about 2 minutes to the public restroom in the parking lot. The facilities were old, there was no toilet paper and it wasn't very clean. It made me realize that if they want to attract more people to the market, they should also focus on maintaining the restroom facilities.
간김에 주차 정보도 확인해보았어요. 1시간에 1,800원이라, 주차 요금은 저렴한 편인 것 같아요.
I also checked the parking information while I was there. It was 1,800 won per hour, so the parking fee seemed to be relatively affordable.
집에 와서도 한 번 먹고 싶어서, 쿠팡이츠로 배달을 시켜먹었어요. 요즘 와우회원 대상 10% 할인 행사가 진행중이라, 배달비 만큼 할인이 되더라고요. 포스트잇에 손글씨로 직접 써주셔서, 정성이 느껴졌어요.
Last Sunday, I wanted to enjoy it at home, so I ordered delivery through Coupang Eats. There was a 10% discount promotion for Wow members, which covered the delivery fee. The handwritten note on the package seemed personalized and thoughtful.
동네에서 먹어본 돈까스 중 제일 맛있었던지라, 돈까스 먹고 싶을 때마다 종종 시켜먹게 될 것 같아요 :)
As it was the most delicious pork cutlet I've had in the neighborhood, I think I'll order it occasionally whenever I crave for pork cutlet.
