작년 팬데믹이 끝나면서 오랜기간 휴무였던 서대문도서관 푸드코트가 오픈했는데, 최근에 또 리뉴얼이 되었어요. 매점 대신 CU편의점이 들어오고 주문 시스템이 무인 키오스크로 바뀌었더라고요. 밥하기 힘든 날, 아들 데리고 식사 한끼 해결하러 가보았습니다 :)

The food court at Seodaemun Library recently underwent another renovation. The previous shop was replaced by a CU convenience store, and the ordering system was changed to a self-service kiosk. On a day when I didn't feel like cooking, I went there with my son to have dinner.
도서관 입구 우측의 계단으로 내려가면 푸드코트 입구가 있어요. 엘리베이터로는 지하가 연결이 되지 않아서 이 부분은 나중에 개선하시겠죠...?
You can find the entrance to the food court if you go down the stairs next to the children's reading room. Currently, there is no elevator connection to the basement floor, so I hope this will be improved in the future.
푸드 코트에서 판매하는 상시 메뉴는 16개 정도입니다:) 백반은 주중에만 운영을 하고 있고, 메뉴를 매주 공지하고 있어요.
The food court has approximately 16 regular menu items. The Baekban (Korean-style set meal) is available on weekdays only, and the menu is updated and announced on a weekly basis.

푸드 코트 주문은 무인 키오스크로 할 수 있어요. 신용카드 결제만 가능하며, 메뉴별로 판매가능한 시간이 다르기 때문에, 잘 확인하고 주문해야합니다. 현금 결제 하실 분들은 직원분께 직접 결제 요청을 하면 되는 것 같아요.
저는 금요일 저녁 6시 넘어 갔더니, 백반이 일찍 마감 되었더라고요.
At the food court, orders can be placed using the self-service kiosk. Only credit card payments are accepted. It's important to note that each menu item has specific ordering times, so it's crucial to check and place your order accordingly. If you prefer to pay with cash, you can approach one of the staff members directly to make the payment request.
When I visited on Friday evening after 6 PM, the Baekban had closed early.
작년에 왔을 때는 나란히 앉을 수 있는 2인용 테이블만 있었는데, 4인용으로 대부분 바뀌었어요. 엔데믹이라, 아크릴 칸막이 개수도 현저히 줄어들었습니다.
Last year, there were only 2-seater tables available where people could sit side by side. However, now the majority of the tables have been replaced with 4-seater tables. Due to the endemic situation, the number of acrylic dividers has also significantly decreased.
주문시 받은 영수증에 주문번호가 찍혀있는데요, 음식이 다 준비되면 픽업대 위의 주문번호를 확인하고 음식을 받아가면 됩니다.
When you place an order, you will receive a receipt with an order number printed on it. When your food is ready, you can check the order number displayed on the pickup counter and collect your food accordingly.
수저는 수저통에서 셀프로 챙겨가야합니다.
You can take the utensils(spoons or forks) yourself from the utensil container.
물도 정수기에서 셀프로 받아 마시면 되고요 :)
You can also help yourself to get water from the water dispenser.
조금 기다리다보니, 주문한 치즈 돈까스가 나왔어요. 양이 넉넉해서 미취학 아동과 나눠먹기 좋았어요.
After waiting for a while, the cheese pork cutlet was served. It was a generous size, making making it perfect for sharing with my child.
치즈 돈까스는 돈까스 안에 모짜렐라 치즈가 들어있는 형태에요. 사진에 잘 표현되지 않았지만 중간 부분을 커팅했을 때 치즈가 주르륵~ 흘러나왔어요. 돈까스도 바삭하고 소스도 제 입맛에 잘 맞았어요. 아이도 맛있다고 잘 먹어서 종종 와서 먹어도 괜찮겠다 싶은 메뉴였어요.
The cheese pork cutlet is a dish where mozzarella cheese is stuffed inside the pork cutlet. When I cut into the middle, the cheese oozes out. The pork cutlet itself was crispy, and the sauce complements the taste well. My child also enjoyed it and ate it with pleasure.
다 드시고 나서는 퇴식구로 그릇을 반납하면 됩니다.
After finishing your meal, you can return the dishes at the dish return counter.
다 먹고 나니 아이가 편의점에서 간식을 사고 싶다고 해서 젤리 하나 골라주고, 계산하러 갔더니 여기도 무인 셀프 계산대가 있었어요. 혹시 도움이 필요할 경우 벨을 누르면 직원이 오시기 때문에 키오스크가 어려운 분은 너무 걱정하지 않으셔도 됩니다. 특수 매장이라 T멤버쉽 할인 적용이 되지 않는 점은 아쉬웠어요.
After finishing our meal, my child wanted to buy a snack from the convenience store. When we went to pay, I noticed that the checkout counter was also self-service. If assistance is needed, pressing the bell will summon a staff member to help, so those who find the kiosk difficult to use don't need to worry too much. It was a bit disappointing that the store did not apply the T-membership discount, though.
가까운 곳에 부담없이 식사할 수 있는 구내식당이 있어서 정말 좋아요. 서대문구청 구내식당도 괜찮다고 들었는데 다음에 시간날 때 한 번 가봐야겠습니다.
It's great to have a nearby cafeteria where I can enjoy a meal at a reasonable price. I've also heard that the cafeteria at Seodaemun District Office is also good.
