아이의 등교 시간이 이른 편이라, 입학 후 첫 한 달간은 아침 시간이 여유롭게 느껴지더라고요. 미세먼지가 없는 날엔, 운동 삼아 연희동까지 걸어갔다 오곤 했습니다.
Since my child's school starts early in the morning, I found myself with some extra time after dropping him off. On days when the weather was pleasant and the air quality was good, I often took walks to Yeonhui-dong.
연희동 간 김에 아점으로 먹을만한 메뉴를 고민해 보다가, 에브리띵 베이글에 방문했어요. 에브리띵 베이글은 뉴욕 스타일 베이글집인데요, 연어 샌드위치를 팔았던 기억이 나서 미쿡의 맛을 기대하며 갔어요 :)
While on my way to Yeonhui-dong, I thought about what to have for brunch and decided to visit Everything Bagel. It's a New York-style bagel joint, and I went there with the memory of their delicious salmon sandwiches in mind.

오전 8시 오픈이라, 아이 등교 후 가기 딱 좋아요.
The place opens at 8 a.m., making it perfect to visit after dropping off my child at school.
예전에 왔을 때는 코시국이라 취식 공간이 없었는데, 테이블이 몇 개 생겼더라고요.
When I visited previously (about two years ago), the restaurant only offered take-out options, but now they've added a few tables for dining in.

Although the rainbow bagel catches the eye, I ended up buying a sandwich.
연어를 워낙 좋아하는지라, 크림치즈 & 록스 (Cream Cheese & Lox) 샌드위치를 1개 주문했어요.
Since I love salmon so much, I ordered one Cream Cheese & Lox sandwich.
샌드위치는 포장해서 집으로 들고 왔어요.

숙성연어, 쪽파 크림치즈, 토마토, 적양파, 케이퍼가 듬뿍 들어가있어요. 연어가 제법 짭쪼름합니다. 전체적으로 좀 짭짤한 샌드위치랄까요. 따뜻한 아메리카노와의 궁합이 정말 좋아요.
It's filled with salmon, green onion cream cheese, tomato, red onion, and capers. The salmon adds a rich and savory flavor. Overall, it's a bit salty, but it pairs really well with a warm cup of coffee.
저희집에서 배달이 안되는 단점이 있지만, 요즘은 아침에 워낙 부지런하게 살다보니 걸어갔다와도 아침 9시 전후네요...ㅎㅎㅎ 다음에는 레인보우 베이글과 크림치즈를 맛봐야겠어요 :)
