얼마 전, 고등학교 친구를 만나러 은평 롯데몰에 다녀왔어요. 친구의 추천으로 군산 오징어라는 식당에 처음 가보게 되었는데, 맛있어서 급 단골이 되어버렸습니다 :)
A few weeks ago, I went to Eun-pyeong Lotte Mall to meet a friend from high school. We went to a restaurant called "Gunsan Squid" for the first time, and it was so delicious that I instantly became a regular customer.
군산 오징어는 은평 롯데몰 4층 식당가에 위치해있어요.
"Gunsan Squid" is located on the 4th floor of Eunpyeong Lotte Mall's food court, right next to Ashley Queens.
군산이라는 지역과 관련이 있나했는데, 찾아보니 전혀 관련이 없더라고요ㅎㅎ 1988년 서울 석촌동에서 시작된 식당이고, 무리 군(群) 뫼 산(山)의 한자를 사용하여 무리들 중에서 최고의 산이 되겠다는 뜻을 가진 이름이었어요.
I was wondering if there was any connection to the region of Gunsan, but after looking it up, there seems to be no relation at all. The restaurant started in Seokchon-dong, Seoul, in 1988. And its name, "Gunsan Squid," uses the Chinese characters for "group" (群) and "mountain" (山). It means that it aspires to be the best among the group, like the highest mountain in a cluster.
2인 이상 주문할 수 있는 스페셜 세트도 있고, 평일에만 판매하는 점심 특선 세트도 있어요. 저희는 평일 점심에 방문해서, 오징어불고기 정식과 오삼불고기 정식을 1개씩 주문했어요. 맵기도 3단계로 선택할 수 있는데 가장 순한, [약간 매운맛]으로 선택했습니다.
They have special sets available for two or more people, and they offer a lunch special set that is only available on weekdays. As we visited during weekday lunchtime, we ordered a Squid Bulgogi Set and an Osam Bulgogi Set each. We had the option to choose the spiciness level, and I selected the mildest option, which is "[Slightly spicy]."
물론 불고기류만 따로 주문할 수 있는 단품 메뉴도 있고 사리도 종류가 다양해요. 어린이 메뉴도 3종류가 있어서, 아이와 함께 방문하기에도 좋아요.
They also have a variety of individual menu items where you can order different types of squid bulgogi separately. Additionally, there is a wide range of side dishes available. They offer three different options for kids menus, making it a great place to visit with children.
테이블에는 앞접시와 물컵이 셋팅되어있어요.
On the table, there are small plates and water cups.
수저와 티슈, 물티슈는 테이블 옆 서랍에 들어있어요. 직원 호출벨도 서랍 옆에 있습니다 :)
Spoons, chopsticks and tissues are in a drawer located on the side of the table. There is also a small button located next to the drawer. When you press it, you can call the staff for assistance.
조금 기다리다보니, 직원분이 인덕션 위에 오징어불고기와 오삼불고기를 섞어서 올려주셨어요 :) 가운데쪽 불이 세서, 삼겹살부터 먼저 익히고 오징어는 나중에 익히더라고요.
After waiting for a while, a staff member came and placed a mixture of Squid & Pork Bulgogi on the induction cooktop. The flames in the center were strong, so they cooked the pork belly first and then cooked the squid afterwards to ensure it was cooked thoroughly.
반찬으로는 차가운 콩나물국과,
For side dishes, they served cold bean sprout soup,
양배추 샐러드, 어묵볶음, 그리고 무쌈이 나왔어요. 뒤에 보이는 콩나물은 직원이 오징어 익힐 때 넣어서 휘리릭 볶아주십니다.
cabbage salad, stir-fried fish cakes, and pickled radish. The bean sprouts you see in the back are stir-fried quickly by the staff while cooking the squid bulgogi.

They also provide aprons if you need.
직원분이 오징어가 알맞게 익을 때까지 직접 볶아주셔서 편했어요. 오징어는 금방 익었을 때 먹어야 가장 부드럽다고 하시더라고요.
It was convenient because the staff personally stir-fried the squid until it was cooked just right to eat. They mentioned that squid should be eaten when it is quickly cooked to ensure its tenderness.
무쌈에 올려먹으니 정말 맛있었어요. 미나리도 듬뿍 들어있어 향긋했고. 1단계인 약간 매운맛으로 선택하니, 많이 자극적이지 않고 딱 먹기 좋았습니다.
짝꿍이 오징어볶음을 워낙 좋아해서, 이후에 가족들과 함께 재방문하였는데 볶음밥도 맛있더라고요. 오징어볶음이 먹고 싶을 때 자주 방문하게 될 것 같아요 :)
The squid was absolutely delicious, especially when wrapped in pickled radish. The generous amount of water parsley added a delightful aroma, and the level of spiciness was just perfect.
Since my husband is a big fan of stir-fried squid, we revisited the restaurant last weekend and enjoyed the meal together. I have a feeling I'll be visiting frequently whenever I have a craving for squid.
