식사 공간이 널찍한 신상 편의점 [CU 홍제한빛점]

 

방학이 시작되면서 아드님이 다시밥에 가고 싶다길래, 오후 12시 반쯤 갔더니 대기손님이 너무 많더라고요. 날이 너무 더워서 (아드님 덕분에) 눈에 보이는 편의점에 일단 들어가게 되었는데, 널찍하고 쾌적해서 여기서 점심을 해결하게 되었어요.

As summer vacation began, my son said he wanted to go to [Dasibab] for lunch. We got there around 12:30 P.M., but there was a long queue of customers waiting. The weather was scorching hot, so we ended up stepping into a nearby convenience store. The store was spacious and comfortable, so we decided to have lunch there.

I had a feeling that this place recently opened.

식사용 테이블

잠시 더위만 식히려고 했지만, 식사할 수 있는 공간이 깔끔하고 널찍하게 마련되어 있는 걸 보니 여기서 점심을 먹어보고 싶다는 생각이 들었어요. 도쿄 다녀온 이후로 편의점에 부쩍 관심이 많아졌거든요.
I just wanted to cool off for a moment, but when I saw the clean and spacious dining area, I felt like having lunch there. Ever since my trip to Tokyo, I've become more interested in convenience stores.

온수 및 전자레인지

온수기도 있고 전자레인지도 2개가 있었어요.
There was a a hot water dispenser, and there were two microwave ovens as well.

CU get 커피 머신

커피 머신도 있는데, 아메리카노 종류만 뽑아마실 수 있어요. 라떼는 따뜻한 믹스로 준비되어 있어요.
A coffee machine was near the counter, but only Americano was available.

음료

아이들이 좋아할 수박바 에이드, 초코에몽 드링크, 식혜도 파우치 형태로 판매중이에요. 음료와 얼음컵을 각각 구입해서 마시면 되는데요, POP에 각 음료에 해당되는 얼음컵 사이즈가 적혀있어요.
But there were various drinks available in pouches, including latte, watermelon popsicle ade, chocolate drinks, and sweet rice drinks. You can purchase these drinks along with ice cups, and the appropriate ice cup size is indicated on the nametag for each drink.

얼음컵도 종류가 4개나 있어요. 빅볼 얼음컵은....하이볼용일까요?
The ice cups come in four different sizes. There was also a Big Ball ice cup, perhaps for alcoholic drinks.

샐러드 및 도시락

식사대용으로 먹을 수 있는 샐러드나 도시락도 다양하게 있었어요.
The food selection was quite diverse. There were salads and Korean lunch box meals available...

야식 메뉴

야식으로 먹을만한 족발, 껍데기, 순대 등도 있어요.
Next to that, dishes like jokbal (pig's trotters), ggupdegi (pork skin), and sundae (Korean sausage) are displayed.

찌개 및 햄버거, 피자류

찌개나 햄버거, 피자... 간편하게 데워서 먹을 수 있는 음식 종류가 꽤 많았어요. 몇 년 사이에 우리나라 편의점도 정말 좋아졌네요.
You can also find various stews, hamburgers, and pizzas. Convenience stores in our country have indeed made significant improvements over the past few years.

젤리

위잇 도시락에서 몇 번 배달 와서 익숙한 젤리- 개당 900원 정도 하는 젤리였군요 :)
I was familiar with this jelly, because it was included in the "we-eat" lunch box meals. Now I know how much it costs :)

푸딩

찰떡이나 푸딩도 있어요.
The dessert options were also diverse, with choices like rice cakes and puddings to choose from.

주류

주류 코너도 있습니다. CU BAR를 쿠바라고 하네요.
The section for alcoholic beverages is called CU BAR, which sounds like "Cuba." Having a bar inside a convenience store could indeed offer a unique experience.

PB 상품

PB 상품도 정말 많이 출시되었더라고요. 휴지, 시리얼, 라면, 즉석밥 등, 사진상에 없지만 마트만큼 물건이 많이 갖춰져 있더라고요. 급하게 필요한 물건이나 먹거리가 있을 때 사러 오기 좋겠어요.
I was unaware that CU had released so many PB products. The store indeed offers a wide variety of items, akin to a supermarket. It would be convenient for purchasing urgent necessities or snacks when needed.

이날의 점심

아드님과 둘이서 먹었던 점심 메뉴예요. 이렇게 샀더니 9,500원이더라고요. T멤버십 할인받아서 실제 결제한 돈은 9,050원ㅎㅎㅎ 비비고 배추김치는 증정품 행사로 받았어요.
These are what my son and I had together for lunch. It cost only 9,500 won. However, with the T-membership discount, the actual amount we paid was 9,050 won. We also received a complimentary gift of Bibigo cabbage kimchi as part of a promotional event.

명란에그버터 비빔밥

즉석밥 돌리고, 수란 돌리고, 그릇에 넣어 섞어주고. 삼각김밥도 살짝 데우고. 아드님 드실 식혜도 얼음컵에 부어주고.
아드님 덕분에 더운 날 뜻하지 않게 편의점에서 쾌적하게 식사하니 도쿄여행이 생각나더라고요. 우리나라 편의점도 정말 좋구나, 새삼 깨닫게 된 날이었어요 :)

I quickly microwaved the rice and gimbap and prepared the sweet rice drink to perfection.

Thanks to my son, we had an unexpectedly pleasant meal at the convenience store that day. It brought back memories of our trip to Tokyo. I was once again reminded of how good the convenience stores are in our country. It's not a bad idea to have a quick meal like this once in a while.
