지난 연휴, 오랜만에 신촌에 다녀왔어요. 점심 먹을 곳을 찾다가 미분당이라는 쌀국수집에 가게 되었습니다 :)
During the Chusuk holiday, I visited Sinchon. I had lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant called Mǐfěndang.

미분당 신촌 2호점은 현대백화점 신촌점 뒤쪽 골목에 있어요. 연휴라 한산했던 신촌 거리가 낯설더라고요... 대학생 때 늘 로망을 갖고 걷던 신촌 거리였는데, 어느새 이렇게 아줌마가 되어버렸네요...!

주문은 가게 밖의 키오스크에서 먼저 진행해야합니다. 결제 후 인쇄되는 식권을 직원에게 드리고 자리를 잡고 앉아먹는 시스템이에요. 도쿄에서 갔던 츠케멘집이 생각나더라고요.
You need to place your order at the kiosk outside the restaurant first. After payment, you hand the printed ticket to the staff and take a seat to enjoy your meal. It's a system that reminded me of the tsukemen restaurant I visited in Tokyo.
라멘집처럼, 다찌 좌석만 있었고 뒤쪽 벽에 가방과 옷걸이가 있어요.
Like a Japanese ramen restaurant, there were only counter seats arranged in a row. There were also hangers on the back wall, for hanging bags and clothes.
좌석도 등받이가 없는 스툴 좌석이고요. 쌀국수를 파는 라멘집 같았어요...ㅎㅎㅎ
And the seating consisted of stools without backrests.

Inside the drawers of the table, you can find utensils and sauce dishes.
미분(mǐfěn)은 중국어로 쌀국수를 의미하는데요, 조용하고 편안한 분위기에서 식사할 수 있는 공간을 만들기 위한 주인의 뜻에 따라 탄생했다고 합니다. 혼밥하기에도 좋아보였어요.
Mǐfěn means rice noodles in Chinese. The restaurant was born according to the owner's intention to provide a quiet and comfortable atmosphere for dining. It seemed like a great place for solo dining as well.
좌석에는 절임 양파, 단무지, 할라피뇨 그리고 앞접시가 셋팅 되어있었어요. 물도 컵에 미리 준비되어있었는데, 더 필요할 경우 앞에 계신 직원분께 말씀드리면 바로 주시더라고요.
Pickled onions, pickled radish, jalapeños, and a small plate was set up at each seat. Water was also prepared in advance in cups, and if you needed more, you could simply ask the staff in front.
해선장, 핫소스, 칠리 소스는 천장 쪽 조명 아래의 선반에 위치해있어요. 필요한 만큼 접시에 덜어 먹으면 됩니다.
The soy sauce, hot sauce, and chili sauce are located on a shelf under the ceiling lights. You can pour as much as you need into your dish.
저는 차돌박이 쌀국수를 먹었어요. 파와 고추가 듬뿍 올라가 있고, 고수는 직원분께 따로 요청하면 받을 수 있어요. 차돌이 워낙 부드러워서 아이가 먹기에도 좋았어요.
I had the beef rice noodles, generously topped with green onions and chili. If you're a fan of cilantro, you can request it from the staff. The beef was exceptionally tender, making it a dish even children can enjoy.
짝꿍은 차돌양지 쌀국수를 먹었는데요, 차돌 위에 쭉쭉 찢은 양지 고기가 듬뿍 올려져있어요. 국물이 정통 쌀국수와 달리 담백하고 깔끔한 편이라, 맛있더라고요.
My husband had the brisket rice noodles, where thinly shredded brisket beef is generously placed on top. The broth, unlike the traditional rice noodle soup, is mild and clean, giving it a delicious flavor.
핫소스가 워낙 매콤한 편이라, 저는 해선장을 조금씩 추가하며 접시에 비벼 먹었어요.
Since the hot sauce was quite spicy, I enjoyed my noodles with soy sauce. I mixed it with the noodles in the small bowl as the instructions recommended.
아이용으로 주문했던 가리비 짜조. 아이가 입이 짧은 편인데, 이 짜조는 맛있다고 하더라고요. 칠리소스는 맵지 않아서 짜조와 같이 곁들여먹기도 좋았어요.
The scallop spring rolls that I ordered for my child turned out to be delicious. My child has a somewhat picky palate, but he enjoyed this spring rolls. The chili sauce wasn't too spicy either.
쌀국수를 좋아하는 편인데, 오랜만에 정말 맛있게 먹었어요. 날씨가 점점 쌀쌀해지고 있어서, 따뜻한 국물이 생각날 때 종종 가야겠습니다 :)
Mǐfěndang was a delightful place to enjoy rice noodles. As the weather is gradually getting colder, I think I'll revisit whenever I crave warm broth.
