지나다니며 늘 궁금했던, 가이오국수에 이른 저녁 먹으러 가보았습니다 :)
I went to have dinner at a restaurant called 'Gaio Noodles', which I've always been curious about as I passed by.
가이오국수는 홍제역 3번 출구에서 도보 2분 거리에 위치해 있어요. 아담하지만, 손님이 끊이지 않는 곳이에요.
Gaio Noodles is located a 2-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongje Station. It's a small place but always bustling with customers.

오후 5시쯤 식당에 도착했을 때는 내부에 자리가 없었고, 식사 후에 계산하고 나니 빈 좌석이 있어서 찍어본 내부.
I arrived at the restaurant around 5 P.M., and the restaurant was quite crowded. However, after finishing my meal, I noticed some vacant seats and was able to take a photo of the interior.
물은 셀프로 가져올 수 있어요.
You can get water by yourself at the water purifier.
주문할 때 국수 양을 정할 수 있는 점이 독특했어요. 적게(다이어트), 적당히, 그리고 곱빼기 3종류가 있고 국수양에 따라 가격이 달라지진 않아요.
You can choose the amount of noodles when placing an order. There are three options: small (for dieting), regular, and large. The price doesn't change based on the amount of noodles you choose.
육수의 비결을 적어놓은 걸 보니, 국물에 대한 기대가 되더라고요.
Secrets of the broth were written on the wall, making me curious about the noodles even more.
저희는 바깥에 테이블에 착석했어요. 안에 자리가 없기도 했고, 이때만해도 밖에서 먹기 좋은 날씨였습니다 :)
We sat at an outdoor table. As the weather was delightful that day, it was perfect for dining outside.
주문한 음식은 트레이에 담아서 가져다주셨어요. 바깥자리에는 수저통이 없어서, 나눠먹을 수 있는 앞접시와 수저도 다 챙겨주셨어요. 밑반찬은 김치와 단무지가 나왔어요.
The ordered food was brought to us on a tray. Since there wasn't a utensil holder at the outdoor table, they provided separate small plates and utensils for sharing. The side dishes included kimchi and pickled radishes.
저는 김치 국수를 먹었어요. 잔치 국수에 숙주, 유부, 부추, 김치, 김 토핑이 되어있더라고요. 국물은 시원하고, 김치가 새콤하니 맛있더라고요.
I had Kimchi Noodles. The noodles were topped with bean sprouts, tofu, chives, kimchi, and seaweed. The broth was refreshing, and the tangy flavor of the kimchi added a delightful touch.
양은 '적당히'로 주문했는데, 꽤 든든한 양이었어요.
I ordered the 'regular option' for the amount of the noodles, but it was quite a hearty portion.
짝꿍은 하와이안 비빔 쫄면을 곱빼기로 주문했어요. 양이 정말 푸짐했습니다. 많이 자극적이지 않고, 면이 쫄깃쫄깃해서 짝꿍도 만족해하며 먹더라고요.
My husband ordered the Hawaiian Bibim Jjolmyeon(Mixed Noodles) in a large amount. The serving was truly generous. It wasn't overly spicy, and the noodles were delightfully chewy.
가격도 착하고, 국수 먹고 싶을 때 종종 가야겠어요. 이렇게 동네 맛집 탐방하는 것도 재밌네요 :)
As the price is also reasonable, and I'll have to visit occasionally when I crave noodles. It's quite fun exploring local restaurants these days :)
