빈티지함이 멋스러운 교토 카페 [Tou Tou To/滔々と、]

 

산넨자카와 기요 미즈데라 구경을 마치고 나니, 다리가 너무 아프더라고요. 아이도 힘들어해서 잠깐 들어가서 쉴 카페를 찾아보다가, Tou Tou To라는 곳이 보여서 들어갔습니다.

After exploring Sannenzaka and Kiyomizudera, my feet were killing me. My child was also very tired, so we decided to look for a cafe where we could take a break.

카페 전경

구글맵 평점을 보니, 오픈한지 그리 오래 된 곳은 아닌 것 같았어요. 처음 찾아봤던 카페는 노키즈존이라 못 들어갔는데, 이곳은 다행히 노키즈존은 아니었습니다...

We ended up going to a cafe called "Tou Tou To". The first cafe we tried to visit didn't allow children inside, but thankfully, Tou Tou To didn't have a no-kids policy.

빈티지한 인테리어

젊은 사장님 한 분이 운영하는 곳이었고, 빈티지한 인테리어에 팝송 BGM이 흘러나오고 있었어요. 카운터 위의 금전 등록기가 찐 빈티지라 계산할 때 보는 재미가 있었어요.

The place had a vintage interior with pop music playing in the background. The cash register on the counter was authentically vintage, which made it fun to look at while paying.

뭔가 미국 감성과 일본 감성이 합쳐진 느낌이랄까요.

It felt like a fusion of American and Japanese aesthetics, creating a unique ambiance.

의자도 아담하니 귀여웠어요.

The chairs were also small and cute.

주문하기 전, 생수와 따뜻한 물수건을 먼저 받았습니다. 메뉴판이 일본어라 파파고를 돌려가며 주문했던 기억이 나요. 외국인 관광객들에게 소문난 곳은 아닌 것 같았어요.

Before placing our order, we were first served with bottled water and warm wet towels. I remember using Papago to translate the menu, as it was in Japanese. It didn't seem like a place that was widely known among foreign tourists.

홍차

날이 추웠던지라, 저는 따뜻한 홍차를 한 잔 주문했어요. 당 충전을 위해 설탕 넣고 휘적휘적...

Since it was chilly, I ordered a warm cup of black tea.

계란 샌드위치

배고픈 아드님을 위해 계란 샌드위치도 하나 주문했는데, 부드럽고 맛있었어요.

For my child, I also ordered an egg sandwich, which was soft and delicious.

땅콩 버터 샌드위치

짝꿍은 땅콩버터 토스트를 주문했는데요, 샌드위치빵보다 조금 더 도톰한 식빵에 땅콩 버터가 무심하게 발라져 있었어요. 일본 카페에는 은근 땅콩 버터 토스트를 많이 판매하는 것 같아요.

My husband ordered a peanut butter toast, which was spread casually on slightly thicker bread compared to sandwich bread. 

이렇게 카페에서 조금 쉬다가, 디앤디파트먼트 쪽으로 또 열심히 걸어갔습니다 :)

After relaxing at the cafe, we went to the D&Department gift shop.
