신주쿠에서 점심 먹고 디즈니샵 구경 후, 긴자 쪽으로 넘어갔어요. 저녁 6시에 예약해 둔 식당이 있었는데 중간에 시간이 조금 남더라고요. 간식거리도 사고 편의점 구경 할 겸 세븐 일레븐에 들어가 보았습니다 :)
After enjoying lunch in Shinjuku, I headed over to the Ginza area. I had a restaurant reservation for 6 p.m., but I had some time to spare. So, I decided to stop by 7-Eleven and buy some snacks.

이 동네는 여의도와 비슷한 느낌이었어요. 유동 인구 많고, 크고 세련된 건물 많고. 가까운 곳에 큰 공원(히비야 공원)도 있더라고요.
This neighborhood had a similar vibe to Yeouido. It had a bustling population and many large stylish buildings. There was also a big park nearby called Hibiya Park.
편의점이 2층까지 있길래 올라가 보았는데, 이렇게 취식 공간도 마련되어 있었어요.
At the second floor of the convenience store, there was a dining area available. They had provided a space for customers to enjoy their food right there.
많은 고객들이 이용할 수 있도록, 30분 이내로 이용해 달라고 쓰여있네요. 저희가 갔을 때는 빈자리가 많아서 여유로웠어요.
They have requested customers to use the dining area for a maximum of 30 minutes to accommodate a large number of customers. However when I visited, there were plenty of seats available.
이건 무슨 내용인가 파파고로 찍어보니, 전기료 폭등으로 콘센트 사용이 불가능하다고 쓰여있었어요. 전기세 인상이 우리나라 만의 일이 아니에요..
When I used Papago to translate this, it said that "Due to a surge in electricity fees, the use of electrical outlets is not available." The increase in electricity costs is not unique to our country.
2층에는 복사 및 프린트가 가능한 복합기도 설치되어 있었어요. 우리나라 편의점엔 없는 시설이라 신기해서 찍어보았습니다 :)
On the second floor, there was also a multifunction printer available for copying and printing.
저는 편의점 커피 맛이 궁금해서 아이스 라떼를 한 잔 주문해 보았어요.
I ordered an iced latte.
계산 후에 직원분이 얼음컵을 주셨고, 제가 기계에서 직접 선택해서 커피를 뽑아 마시면 되더라고요.
설탕이라 시럽은 취향에 따라 추가할 수 있어요.
After paying, the staff gave me a cup filled with ice. I was then able to personally dispense the coffee from the machine. Sugar and syrup were conveniently placed next to the machine for me to add according to my preference.
생각했던 것보다 맛있어서 깜놀했어요. 이 날부터 편의점에서 1일 1커피 시작 :)
이렇게 커피를 들고, 거리 구경하며 가까운 히비야 공원으로 걸어갔어요.
The coffee was quite delicious, even better than I had anticipated. From that day on, I made it a routine to have a cup of coffee from the convenience store every day.
규모가 꽤 커서 놀랐는데, 100년 넘는 역사를 가진 일본 최초의 서양근대식 공원이라고 하더라고요.
With a cup of coffee in my hand, I walked to Hibiya Park. The park was really big. I learned that it is Japan's first Western-style modern park with a history of over 100 years.
벤치에 앉아서 잠시 연못을 바라보며 쉬었어요. 마음 심(心) 자 초서 모양의 일본 연못을 신지이케(心字池)라고 하네요. 그래서 영어 이름이 Heart Pond였군요. 주변에 수국도 예쁘게 피어있고, 우아한 두루미도 날아다니더라고요.
좀 오래 앉아있고 싶었는데 아드님이 빨리 일어나서 가자고 성화였어요...ㅎㅎㅎ
아쉬웠지만, 다시 긴자로 발걸음을 돌렸습니다. 히비야 공원은 워낙 예쁘고 평온한 곳이라 많이 기억에 남아요. 도심 속의 녹지 공간을 즐길 수 있는 특별한 곳이었어요 :)
Enjoying my coffee, I settled on a bench, taking in the view of the pond. The pond, resembling the Chinese character "心" (heart), is known as Shinji-ike pond. Its English name is Heart Pond. Nearby, beautiful water lilies were blooming, and graceful herons (or perhaps cranes) were gliding through the air. I wanted to linger a bit longer, but my child kept urging me to get up and leave.
I didn't want to leave Hibiya Park, but I had to reluctantly make my way back to Ginza. Hibiya Park was so beautiful and serene that it left a strong impression on me. It was a special place where one could enjoy a green oasis in the midst of the city.
